The 5th member of our family is a teddy - great size, nice materials and appealing personality, but must say he isnot especially good at laying still in bed and he seem to be rather inventive when it comes to mischiefs and creative ideas.My son – 1,5 years old – is very attached and 'Bangsi' is brought everywhere - also to daycare everyday for comfort when he is sleeping. Only downside is the colour… white teddies that are loved in this intense way do not stay white and after a year of TLC his fur has turned somewhat grey.We had some trouble taking out the button in his ear. I know it is supposed to be safe, but as 'Bangsi' has been a sleeping buddy since he was four months old,

Edit: I have since purchased another two for some new additions, luckily a girl and a boy as had to get different colours to the others. First teddy is still much loved and has had to undergo minor surgery by Nana. ***** Ideal first teddy for baby, just the right size to become a favourite teddy. Wasn't too sure when first purchased but as my first granddaughter has grown Ted is her tiredness buddy. Fur has not remained fluffy because of washing but that's just a sign of much love. Have just made a second purchase for second granddaughter. Disappointed in the lack of different proper bear colours though, I wouldn't have chosen such a light colour but needed a different colour to first and not a fan of gender specific colours.

It has to be said that this bear is perfect for a young baby who still wants a little teddy-bear. It is surprisingly small actually, it took me aback when I first saw it but there are only a couple of Steiff Bears that are suitable for a child under 36mths; the added factor is that it is entirely machine washable which is essential for a Baby's bear.In this case, it makes an ideal first bear for a tiny baby. It is incredibly soft, a lovely colour & looks like a Teddy Bear should look. I was disappointed at first but then common sense took over & I realised how perfect it is for a baby's first Teddy Bear instead of one of those giant ones that are of absolutely no use at all!!It really is quite

I am rating five stars based on the speediness of the delivery and the speediness in sorting out a refund. For that I cannot flaw and it has all been dealt with in respectable time. However, I was very unlucky with the product as it had been delivered with a defect within the ear with the stitching running across and a hole on it. I have just been unlucky and these things happen! If you are reading my review do not get put off as the rest of the customers have had a very positive experience in receiving their product. The bear itself is tiny but very sweet and would be perfect for a newborn baby.

I bought this for a new baby. It is soft and just the right size for a little one. I know from experience that certain teddies become a 'must have object' to have in the cot before settling to sleep, and so being small and soft is ideal, larger teddies can disrupt sleep.It is washable which is a must for me.the beige is a perfect colour, I did like the cream one but recognise the in practicality of this colour. I would recommend this as a gift. The Steiff name gives it credence. Good product. Fair price. good delivery.

Looking for a gift for my grandchild when it arrives. Wanted something special, but we don't know sex of baby. This little bear fits the bill exactly. Wasn't sure which to have- this or the white one? They are exactly the same apart from colour, despite being in different 'poses'. I went to view them in a local teddie-bear shop to check on this, but they couldn't beat the special offer price of Amazon, so ordered it here. I'm hoping this will be very much loved by baby when it finally arrives!

Perfect, just perfect. I was a little worried about spending so much on such a small baby toy but once it arrived I knew it was right. I bought this for my newborn niece and it's beautifully made. No nasty surprises from the manufacture so she can chew and mouth the bear as much as she likes. I wouldn't feel confident giving a newborn some cheap teddy from asda etc. Trust Steiff, they may be more mass market these days but the quality still shines through.

I love Steiff bears, so it was a natural to buy one for my lovely new granddaughter. This bear is small, soft and made to the usual Steiff high standards but in reality it looks very much more 'ordinary' than the illustration. It's a clever picture because it obviously is the same bear but the real thing does not match the charm of the pictured product. As a result, I also bought her a 28cm Sweet Dreams Lamb which is lovely and has been a big hit.

I bought this for my grand-nephew. It came stuffed "unceremoniously" in a plastic bag. I know this is not an expensive bear, as they go, but it just seemed a bit of a let down for a Steiff. It looked like any other mass produced teddy. The fabric was not very good quality.Once I had re-packaged the bear in it's own presentation box I did feel it looked a bit more "special" - Steiff please note- presentation makes such a difference

I bought one of these bears for our first Grandson so thought it important that a second one should be acquired following the arrival of Grandson No2! Absolutely delighted with this very special bear. Our first Grandson loves his and I am sure No2 will too. Lovely bear, soft and just the right size for small hands. Durable too! Would buy again (if the occasion arises) so that the next generation have their 'family heirlooms'!

I first bought one of these for my son when he was born in 2008 and he loves it, its the only teddy he'll still have in his room. So when my nephew was born last year I was delighted to get this again and I hope he treasures him too - still the perfect size and beautifully soft. Machine washable and durable its the ideal teddy for a baby. However - please remember not to leave toys in your babys cot whilst they are sleeping.

This product is lovely and soft - ideal for the younger children. For those familiar with more conventional teddy bears, this one is more like a stuffed toy - no hard core at all.Quality is very high. It looks like it will last for ages, even with the usual "kid abuse".It's quite small, so check the specs if you're thinking of buying it for an older child. One of the other Steiff options might be better for them.

Fantastic we bought one as a christening present, the parents were delighted. Then when our neighbors had a baby we bought another one for their baby. They too were delighted. Although it can be machine washed they said it was too good to play with and it was going to be on display in his bedroom. Makes a great gift if you are stuck for ideas like we were. I nearly bought one just for myself.

I absolutely love the Steiff bears, they have such character. I cant put my finger on what or why this is but I have never known any other brand to give the same 'feeling' to their bears as Steiff somehow manage to do. Its a total mystery to me and part of the reason I like them so much.This one is no exception and I'm certain he will be well loved by my latest god-daughter.
