This is the best value spirit level you can buy. not only do you get a quality spirit level but you also get the biggest box you will ever need.Want to move home...you can fit everything in this one handy packaging box. Want to house a homeless person over the winter...this box can adequately accommodate 1 large person or 2 small people. Maybe you need an emergency carpet, then you can simply flatten the box and using the spirit level make a completely flat floor covering.Iam going to use mine to upgrade my cats playhouse. At the moment she has a modest 40cm x 30 cm box to play with , this will be like she has won the lottery and bought herself a mansion complete with swimming pool and a garage for 3 cars.

I've been taking DIY in the home more seriously as of late, but with the assumption that items already on the wall are level. This has shown me that they're not....For the price, it's well worth it. I bough the 600mm version but I'm sure much of the below counts towards other items. The amount of times since purchasing this I've needed it has probably saved hours in piece of mind and double guessing. I've used this installing kitchen appliances, setting up shelves and installing wall lights. It's small enough to fit in all of the places I need it in my home. Really easy to use, and small enough to use in a variety of cases.

This is a good spirit level, sturdy, smooth and bright. The box it came in was stupidly way too big for it as it is only60 cm x 5 x 3 cm, The box was 120cm x 20 cm x 9 cm and as I had ordered the other size as well 120 cm long you would have thought they would have been packed together but no. . . that one came in the biggest box ever by itself and I was left to get rid of all the waste which included about 200 ft of paper inside plus the box. Amazon. . . sort you packaging out, or get someone with a brain to do it, Its not rocket science !

As this is from Stanley's basic range I was wary but it's excellent quality and I'm really impressed. It's got the abrasive grip on the underside as found on more expsnsive levels and also has the large vials and they are recessed with durable plastic surrounding them to protect against knocks.It feels solid but it's not heavy which is a godsend when you're holding it in place in an awkward position with one hand while you draw a line or make markings.I'd definitely buy this one again at twice the price if i lost it.

The essential building tool. There are of course hundreds available so it is very much find your price range and pick the best suited level - which in my opinion this is for the price.Well made, accurate and robust for real use. The price means that if you do break it or some toe-tag nicks it, you won't be crying in your soup. The size is ideal too. Long enough to be properly useful but not some epic thing that requires a 'Long Load,' sign on the back of your car, van or truck.Highly recommended.

I've marked this down to 4 stars as I haven't had it long enough to comment on its durability. I'm not expecting this to be a majot issue with them being stanley though.The level arrived straight and true on both vials which was my biggest concern with ordering online.It has a nice milled edge on the bottom, vials are easily read although I do tend to prefer having a bigger bubble in the vial but that is just a minor gripe.All in all a solid, accurate level at a bargain price

Good level, has a nice milled bottom for accuracy and seems pretty solid. Plenty good enough for a DIY'er like me. The great price is what attracted me to this particular level, otherwise I'd probably have bought one that was slightly less yellow...As for other people's comments on the huge boxes being used to ship these, it seems that Amazon has taken this on board, because mine arrived in a long narrow box much more suited to its shape.Good on you Amazon. :-)

Unlike the picture, it actually has vials at both ends of the level which was a pleasant surprise.The level itself is solid and accurate and the contours on the side are a simple but nice feature when using the level.My only real gripe is that level is not straight on both sides. The milled edge is perfectly straight, but the opposite side tapers away from the middle to each end which is why I marked it down to 4 stars

Do you need to make sure something really, really big is level? Then you need a really big level. We used this to check some shelves on the wall were straight where we had several floating shelves in a row, all supposed to be at the same height. Balancing this between them we could be 100% sure that all the shelves were perfectly straight and in alignment with each other. Not sure how else we could have done that!

Great for the price, purchased to replace my aging Rabone level, all of you out there that say about fat max, well they are so over priced & over rated, my Stabila R series is the best... This level is accurate enough for me at 99.999999% accurate, my Stabila R's are 100% accurate...

I needed a longer level than my 600mm as I'n laying a paving for a shed base. Newer version of this was available at £24+ but....... it's a spritit level!?!? So; what does the new version have for an extra £15. I don't know but this is a Stanley and it's perfect!

A totally DIYer, and so far using this I have:1) Fitted a Kitchen2) Mounted a new radiator3) Hung a huge wall mirrorAnd so much more.This is a trusty companion as an amazing level and also as a straight edge :)Amazing addition to my tool set!

My husband is a tiler & needed to get new spirit levels & this was a great price from Amazon - less than half the price it costs to buy in store! Shame it got stolen at work days after receiving but I have now ordered him another one :)

I bought this as a gift for my friend who was seeing two girls at the same time.... The reason was that I was guna level him.We laughed, he didn't use it, I took it from his house and lost it, he now is seeing no girls.
