I love a bit of stationery - even more if it’s a wee bit quirky. But it still has to work well. This little product is/does both. It’s fun. The holder is in the shape of a lightbulb but does have a flat little bottom so it can sit on your shelf or desk.Inside the lightbulb are 12 pens. 4 are neon - which basically means that they are the same colour as highlighters - bright but still light. Since the product is by Stabilo, you know the quality of the pens is going to be good. The pens could be for colouring in but personally, I find they are the right thickness for writing headers, bullet journalling or just scribbling. They’re not too thick so you can still read writing as they don’t bleed overly much. The pens sit in the middle of the lightbulb so there is still space around the sides if you want to add in some other bits and bobs. Or, you could remove the pens entirely and fill the bulb with paperclips, drawing pins or whatever you want. I suppose you don’t even need to use it for stationery items - sweets or drinks would be fun! You could buy a few and use them as decorations for a kids’ birthday party. Although at £11 a pop that’s probably not such a great idea! The lightbulb is made of plastic and is fairly durable - it didn’t break or even scratch when I caught it with my elbow and sent it flying halfway across the room!I’m really pleased with this item. As I mentioned before, it’s quirky and high quality. Great product. 5 stars.

It was definitely the novelty behind this product that captured my eye. I love the screw top lightbulb shaped container for the pens, which brings a fun decorative touch to one's desk and has potential for secondary use as storage for coins or various small items once the pens are all finished with. The container is made from strong plastic and feels as if it could bear some rough handling if placed in something like a school bag.The pens themselves are half size versions of Stabilo's Pen 68 which are medium point fibre tip pens which I have reviewed before - these pens deliver great ink flow and bold colours which are great for notes, doodles and generally brightening up your work. This set has a number of neon colours not usually found in the normal metal box sets. The only real downside I can see is that you're getting less pen for your money, and that the pens can be a little fiddly to get in and out of the container, which is to be expected for something with a novel shape. This is a unique and fun gift for creatives of all sorts, though if you'd prefer more practical value, you may want to go for

This is sitting on my desk now. I love using pens for mind maps, client notes, general notes and reminders. These are such good quality and come in a range of useful colours. They are very easy to write with but do have quite a thick 'nib' so writing looks quite heavy. If you wanted a finer pen then there are going to be others more suitable. Some colours are quite bright (pink, green, orange, yellow) which are perfect highlighters and then standard black, red and blue and then more unusual purple, pink, turquoise. They are comfortable to use and are still going strong after several months regular use.I see a couple are missing - and I suspect that's because other people are enjoying using them as much as me!Stabilo have such a good reputation for their stationery and these are indeed really good.

Scored 5/5 by the children using them! These are adored because the neon colours are a real win. The neon's really are bright and vibrant. The rest of the pack offer a decent range of colours for a small set of pens. The pens are three-quarter length and still very easy to grip. They are comfortable enough, although there are no rubber grips (as expected). The caps fit snugly on top, reducing the chance of loss. The nibs are fine, so they are best used for outlining, not for box colouring. They are not chisel tipped. Ideal for the more complex colouring though (mindful colouring). The container is very unique. It rests on the bulb top, like a vase. The screw on top keeps them all tidy and cannot be over tightened. They stack well allowing easy removal for any pen required.

This is a novelty set of 1mm width 'felt' pens from the market leader in such things. There are 12 in all, 4 of which are in high viz highlighter type colours. The narrow nibs make them ideal for writing and underlining text. For colouring in purposes they are more suited to fine detail work rather than block colouring. They are stored in a light bulb shaped container which has enough space for other small stationery bits and pieces such as paperclips. Be aware that these pens are 3/4 size so you are getting less pen for your money and you are paying a bit extra for the novelty storage container. You can get 12 full sized Stabilo pens in a standard plastic wallet for cheaper than these. You pays your money and makes your choice.

Stabilo Point 68 pens are one of my go to coloured pens when I need intense colour, long lasting ink and a broad range of colours for my projects. I use them when colouring in, writing mind maps, revision maps, when planning projects or when I just fancy brightening up a boring page of text! They are a high quality pen, which lasts for ages. The barrel of the pen is hexagonal meaning the pens do not role away when on a flat surface and are comfortable to hold for long periods of time. The point 88 pens are perfect for neat writing while the point 68 pens are slightly wider and perfect for colouring larger areas of space. This set is a half size pen and the light bulb storage idea make them greatfor a quirky gift idea.

This makes light work of storing the handiest little felt tips. A very positive click ensures it won't dry out from being left open, although they say it has a 'Cap Off Time' of 24 hours? Sharp bright colours always ready for use from the robust 'M' tips, and hey, it bounces instead of shattering when it get s knocked off my desk. It sits easily and keeps the pens in a neat container and I don't have to go scrabbling about looking for the right one, or indeed just one!I have no idea how long this 12 pack of mini stabilo's will last, but I will certainly replace it when it does run out, it has already become indispensable!

Really fun little set of mini-sized fine-tipped felt tips in 12 different colours, including 4 neons. Comes in a lightbulb-shaped screw-top pot with a flat bottom on the bulb side that makes it free-standing. Versatile, means you can either keep it on your desk and take it with you on the go. I think it's especially useful right now with the upcoming exam season for students and colour-coding revision notes, also just fun for brightening up your work. Not so good for colouring as the tips are very fine (1mm), but great for anything else.

Cute idea to supply these pens in the lightbulb shaped pen pot. They look nice on the desk. A good selection of colours and as you would expect with Stabilo, the quality of the nib is excellent and the colour intensity is dense. Smaller length pens, which make them appealing to those with smaller fingers, so will work well if, like us, you have a range of ages in the family and want pens that the youngest can keep for themselves. Quite expensive, but pens are, and the quality of these means they last well, offering good value.

Cute packaging conceals a set of decent little multicoloured pens. They are smaller than you might expect and this can be a little disconcerting. They are very bright colours, which suits the intended audience very well. As a parent, I look at these and think they won't last very long and they seem expensive for what you get, so I can't give this the full five stars, but there's nothing wrong here. Decent quality. The packaging is gaudy and plasticky, but this appeals to the younger kids anyway and it's fun looking.

The light blub is a nice touch and it’s also a useful storage container to place on your desk. It makes a set of pens a lot more interesting and elevates them to quite a nice gift. The pens themselves come in a huge variety of bright colours. They are easy to write with and are great for notes or doodles. The pens are short and are all the tips are large so you can write at a great range of angles. They’d be great for story-boarding or charts, perhaps with multiple people writing in a variety of colours.

The 'STABILO 668/12-06 Pen 68 Mini Non Hanging Version Premium Felt Tip Colourful Ideas Pen - Assorted Colours (Pack of 12)' is a cute little desktop set of felt tip pens - shorter than average ones - in a range of bright colours, housed in a plastic lightbulb-shaped container, which stands on its base (the 'glass' part of a bulb) and has a red plastic screw top. The pens are excellent quality and comfortable to hold, and the range of colours is ample for standard tasks.Cute and useful.

I really like these felt tips. They are vibrant and dense colours. The tips are not too thin and you can cover a lot of paper. They don't bleed through the paper too much like other kinds do. They are a cute size and portable because of that. The 4 day glo colours are lovely, that's the green, orange, pink and yellow. This is a good brand for pens and these are great felt tips. Not sure the light bulb adds much to the deal, but it could be a cute money box.

Great fun - IDEAS in the shape of a light bulb (that must have been a fun brain-storming session!)12 mini sized pens in assorted colours - including highlighter colours.Handy case (which although light bulb shaped does have a flat bottom)This is a bit expensive given the small size of the pens, so in general I would go for the pack of full sized ones.In this case they are a present for a stationery obsessed daughter - who thought they were terrific!

My daughter, 5 y/o, is forever drawing and colouring in, at home and everywhere else. These pens are great in their own right: decent range of bold colours, good coverage, ergonomic for small hands, with sufficiently small nibs for precise colouring but equally good for colouring bigger areas. The USP here is the lightbulb shaped carry case. It's highly portable and stands upright for easy use wherever you are. So now it comes wherever we go. Perfect.
