Stabilo art 68 pens are part of a range that has always in my memory been coveted as lovely coloured pens. As a bit of a stationery addict with an ardour especially for pens, I've owned different Stabilo felt liners over the years and have always been happy with them.See photo for a view of the inked colours and thickness of line. These version are like a more robust felt tip with a 1mm nib. Some use these for colouring, I like them for handwriting larger titles, headings and underlining, mind maps and for flash cards as they don't bleed through good quality paper or card stock like sharpies do. But they will show through on cheaper paper so beware if using in a cheap bullet/art journal.Theyglide much better than their fineliner cousins do so are great for artsy handwriting or typography. These colours aren't reinventing the wheel admittedly, they are supposedly 'pastel' but in essence are light shades from the main collection, they are lacking that mini-eggs chalky 'nursery' essence of pastels. So if you are looking for true pastels, these may disappoint, but overall are great lighter shades.I have found myself reaching for these regularly when planning and sketching out activities and notes for my ongoing projects as I like the swoopy nature it gives my writing.

I have recently fallen in love with this range of pens. Having recently completed an university degree I used these pens to annotate text books, create mind maps and edit assignments and now my daughter also uses them to create revision notes and mind maps for her GCSEs. I have left the university books behind and love using them in my adult colouring books. My love of Stabilo pens came from the huge range of colours available, the depth of colour and the long lasting ink supply in each pen. These pens are pastel tones and they can be mixed and matched with other packs in the range. This pack is the slightly wider nib and are great for colouring books - they are perfect for the larger area of colours but also not too thick, and can be used for more detailed areas with ease. The actual pens are hexagonal in design, which I prefer, as they do not role off the work surface. The lids have air space, meaning they are not a chocking hazard should inhalation take place. They are comfortable to hold, not too thin (I have a thing against really thin pens) and the ink is washable if got on skin etc.I recommend these pens, and although they have a higher price tag than others, I would always pay that little bit extra because i know that the product is worth it!

The 8 felt tips are descried as pastel, which some how made them seem 'special'. They are the palter shades from a standard multi coloured pack, which you might well call pastel, but I'd not thought of that way before! I guess they may be part of a larger range of 68 shades looking at the numbering on the pens/pack.So the colours are peach ( the shade often used for Caucasian skin but , which no one has unless they are under the doctor for treatment!) pale pink, aqua/light turquoise, light blue, grey, light green/cyan, yellow and liliac verging on purple. The pens have medium nibs, you can write using the point and make quite a fine line, angle a little and get a broader stroke.Angle a lot if filling in an large area with colour. The thick nib should with stand an amount of over enthusiastic colouring that you don't get with a cheap fine tipped pen. They are water based not permanent. The lids do have small holes, which makes them 'safety style' if inhaled. The manufacturer claims you can leave the lid off for 24 hours with out them drying up, not sure how often you can do that.

These greatly remind me of the staedtler pens I was a big fan of back in my college and uni days. A small enough end that you can write with them, but large enough that you can angle them to cover larger areas - although I'd hesitate to cover any serious space with them. With 8 pens in the pack, it's a good enough selection for small projects and note taking whilst being portable in its packaging, but your obviously going to need a larger choice for any serious artwork.Described as 'pastel', i initially thought these too strong, but the colours have grown on me and the strength means they can sit with other colours easier. I find the grey to be a bit of an odd choice in the pack though personally.Majority of my staedtler pens are still usable now,but it remains to be seen if these stabilo ones have the same staying power and won't dry up. They're supposed to last 24hours uncapped, but it's not something I'll be testing.

STABILO "Pastel" Premium Felt Tip Pen is one excellent set of pens which provide pastel shades which are very attractive. What makes this pack of pens special is the varying degrees of thickness you are able to use the nib by the simple placing of the nib. These are all colours which are not available in the usual colouring pen sets.As always with STABILO they provide excellent pens which I have always loved which make it very easy for me to recommend them. The STABILO "Pastel" Premium Felt Tip Pens are a beautiful pen to use and with their "specialist" colours so different from the usual pens sets I have bought in the past makes them an excellent addition to my colour collection.

I love Stabilo pens and have a few packs of varying shades but this is the first time I've seen these pastel ones. At least, I thought they'd be pastel shades but they're not really. The casing is a pale pastel but the colour inside is a bit deeper than I was hoping for. They're still nice colours, just less muted than expected. I have a lot of those adult colouring books and it's sometimes hard to find nice pens with fine enough nibs and while these are not as fine as the Fineliners I prefer they do cope will with the larger areas without being unwieldy.Nice quality and nice colours, just not as pale as the outer covers suggest.

I love these pens and already have a full set of colouring pens like them. The tips are broad, but with a point, so that you can vary the line through delicate pressure. The shade is fairly smooth. The ink flows well to achieve good, fast coverage of larger areas, the shading overlaps do show, however. This set is really useful for highlighting text, so would be particularly handy for students' revision. The colours are pale, but are bold enough to stand out.A fantastic, long lasting set of pens.

I'm very pleased with the colour choice in this pack and the width of the nib. Comparing them to some of the pens I've used in card making they aren't as good at giving an even covering of colour but that's no surprise when the price difference is taken into consideration. For every day colouring these are fine. For something special on which I'd be looking for as perfect a finish as I could get, or if I wanted to blend two colours, I'd use better. It's like brights and darks in these too.

Stabilo felt tip pens are of excellent quality.I have been using my original set for around six years and they still work fine.I tend to remember to put the tops back on but if you have children it is good to know that the pens can last 24 hours before they dry out.The colours are of good quality but these are pastel colours, and that is really another way of saying they are pale shades.Good for adult colouring when you don’t want everything to be in bright colours.

I love stabilo pens, I would buy these over any other brand, they work great on paper and wood. I bought these to add to my existing collection thinking that pastels would be a lovely addition. They are very nice colours and I like the lighter shade of grey in this pack, however, I wouldn't say they are all pastel shades as some are brighter than pastel. It's still a nice pack to own though if you like a variety of shades.

It's a pen. It writes. It colours. It draws. What else could there be to say?....except I actually really like these Stabilo Pastel Premium felt pens, far more than I thought I would! The pack contains 8 pens, in a great range of pastel colours. The thing I like is how smooth they are to write with. Not scratchy or harsh at all. A real pleasure to write, draw or colour with and good value.A great set for anyone.

Great set of pens in strong vibrant pastel colours, they show up really well on paper and are just as good for writing with as for colouring.I love the long lasting ink, which doesn't dry up if the lids are left off, and the fact that they wash off your hands, the only thing I personally don't like is the hexagonal shape which I find a little uncomfortable to hold compared with round-barrelled pens.

15.2.2017

These pens are exactly as described. There are eight very pretty pastel colours, as shown in the photograph. The tips are a medium size which is perfect for writing with and would work equally well for colouring. The plastic packet is a little flimsy and you can't stand the set up but if you bend back the top then it works fine. The pens are hexagonal which makes them pleasant to hold.

17.2.2017

At £1.54ish they do seem expensive, but Stabilo are a popular and recognised name. The pens arrived in the same order as soon in the Amazon picture, yellow through to medium grey, all pastel shades. These felt-tip pens can give out a very thin line or by angling them a broader stroke, approximately 0.5mm to 2mm. The body of the pen is hexagonal and comfortable to hold.

The colors are nice, but they can be a challenge for my color-deficient eyes to see properly. Some of them are so faint that my eyes have trouble seeing them at all - but that is an issue with my eyes. My kids tend toward the brighter and bolder colors when they're drawing, but these provide some nice alternatives when they're looking for lighter shades.
