This sand is something else, it’s like a clump but the minute you hold it in your warm hands it starts to melt it is so fun to play with even for adults. I admit I sat and plate it with my kids chopping it and letting it melt through my fingers. Never had anything like this when I was a kid. So much better than play dough that stuff gets stuck everywhere and ruins carpet and clothes. This on the other hand is so mess free and easy to clean up afterwards, won’t clog up your hoover like play doh does. Hours of fun for myself and my kids playing with this and have since bought a few different sets. Although when you mix the colours eventually it does all turn grey. Would be great for kids with sensory needs.

Kinetic sand is great. My kids love it. Got a collection of their products. It's not a messy product surprisingly. Any dropped sand will collect quickly. All you do is grab a small ball of it and use that to pick up the excess. It's speedy. I can clean up after a 3 year old in 5 minutes. Also it doesn't stain which is great since I have cream carpets. ?This set was my favourite one. It includes tools and 3 sandcastles. Much prefer it to the sand satisfying set we own. Good value for money.Also. Don't get hung up on what colour sand is included. It will be a muddy colour after an hour!Lastly I recommend a tray. I use a Tuff tray. Pic shows sand from this plus another set. (Started off as 4 colours!)

This is really good fun and good value. I bought one for my son and then one as a gift for a friend's daughter because we enjoyed ours so much. Just to manage your expectations the rainbow colour doesn't last as all the sand modges together to become multicoloured as other reviews have said. But for the money we didn't mind and have played with it plenty since. So much so that I have bought even more kinetic sand. A piece of advice I would say to sit with your child when they first play with it because then you can help them appreciate the rainbow effect for a while before just smushing it all together. I also read the instructions before getting it out and it helped.

Daughter loves playing with kinetic sand and this was a lovely first kit for her. It’s oddly satisfying to play with as an adult and quite calming too!! The colours are bright and bold, and they mixed well to get the secondary colours, but obviously inseparable once mixed. There are only 3 containers for the 6 colours you end up with too, so my daughter is currently playing with a sort of grey coloured lump of sand, which doesn’t effect the enjoyment, just to note that the colours don’t last long, at least for a 2 year old...

I bought the main set for my 3 year old on his birthday and he absolutely loves it - the tools and the sand that came with it are great fun for the kids. My ten year old acts like he's too old but I always catch him playing with it too!The original came with red and blue sand, which you can imagine is now purple sand.Nice that you can get extra colours for a low price as it extends the life of the toy and gets the kids going back time and time again.Just a shame about the mess it makes!

This stuff is great. Our 6 year old asked for some for Christmas and we bought this set.There is plenty in here for lots of activities, with good storage containers etc.My recommendation is not to mix the colours too much as you end up with a massive lump of wierd coloured material. The colours don't mix as well as the front cover would suggest (you get blue, red and yellow) as when you mix them you can still see the individual grains of each colour in the resultant product.

Currently during this COVID19 lock down I have been working hard. And I was very stressed and bored. I'm an adult and I know this is for kids. But I ordered it, and since I had it, I spent an evening overcoming my stress by cutting bashing and messing it all up. If I an adult can love it then i'm sure a kid will.On a side note If you want all the colours try not to mix it. I did and now it just looks like brown sand BUT its still fun :)

Bought for my 2 year old as a rainy day toy! He loves it. The sand does end up mixing and just turning a browny purple colour but it really doesn’t matter for a 2 year old. Perhaps an older child who likes to make pretty designs might be bothered by that.. Also very fun to play with as an adult it’s quite mesmerising!

My daughter was starting to get bored of playdough, and to be honest so were we with it getting stuck into the carpet constantly so this stuff was brilliant. Its provided hours of play and is so easy to clean up after as it's just sand. The texture is also fun to play with, seems to keep her happy for a bit!

Kinetic sand is awesome but this particular box made it seem as though mixing the colours would leave a cool effect and so my son was very disappointed that his quickly turned to dark purple/grey, I think for a child the cover is misleading because it’s not multiuse Colour wise in the way indicated.

Good value!Nice colours but when you mix them together it become brown...and one more thing. My parcel came without any additional package on top in rainy day.. Of course my little one found it when I wasn't around ( it should be additional gift for Christmas) so sureprise is spoild now ...

This is great, and can with in few days, kids loved playing with the rainbow colour sand after making, but it only lasts for maybe 5 mins and then the colours turn to brown,So the set can really only be used few times then it's just all brown sand,

This was great to play with - i'll invite my 2 year old son along next time. I found i had to play with the sand for a bit to get it to be more fluid. All the accessories were present and performed as expected - i liked making the half pill shapes!

Good time we’ve bought kinectic sand, and it’s a huge hit, my little boy is so happy.... mixed all the colours up already much to my dismay lol.. it’s a small set but defo value for money (although we did order separate packs of sand. Lots of fun

Brilliant set, kept my 3 and 4 year entertained for ages. Works well with normal shape cutters and play dough tools. Easy to clean up after and great value for money. Very relaxing for adults too! I will definitely be buying more.
