I bought these shoes because I desperately needed a pair of close-toed shoes to wear in the colder months other than boots and work-shoes. I have worn these shoes every.single.day. since they arrived. They are slightly lighter in color than they are pictured online, but I am very pleased with the color. They did take some breaking in--I wore them with socks, and sometimes even bandaids on my heels to prevent blisters from forming, for about a week until I was able to comfortably wear them barefoot. They don't smell, go with casual and slightly dressier outfits, and are so easy to slip on as I'm running out the door somewhere. I did not purchase the rain and stain protectant that Sperry sells for them on their website,

My daughter is in a private school that requires the Sperry Top-Sider 2 eye Boat Shoe. We ordered a size 9 to replace her size 7's purchased last year, that were just too small. Well the size 9's were the same length and width as the size 7 shoes, and still too small, her foot would not fit in the shoe. So I returned the shoes for a full refund, which was nice, I just had to pay the shipping and we ordered a size 10, which is way to large for her foot. I don't understand. Two years ago we went to a store and got her a size 7 which fit for 20 months, then she really out grew it, we went to the same store and tried on an 8, 8.5 and finally the 9 fit the best. Then we ordered it on line and her foot would not fit in the shoe...

I usually wear a US 9.5-10 women's shoe. I purchased these in a 9.5 (which is the size I lean towards more often). Initially I thought these were horrible uncomfortable and they tore up my feet. But! You really need to break these in. I believe I wore them around my apartment with socks on because I initially wore them outside and couldn't return them. This did a great deal to soften the heel.Now! They are a go to pair of shoes for me. They are so comfortable and easy to slip on and off. It's been over a year of fairly constant wear, particularly in the summer, and they are still in great condition. I was shocked to see I bought these in October 2018, based on how well they're holding up.

Don't be fooled by the gold label. They look like the picture - more silvery with a gold undertone than real gold. That suits me fine, I wanted silver. Fairly true to size. I have very wide feet and buy a larger shoe size to accommodate which worked fine with these. I did have to strategically place some moleskin inside where the widest part of my foot rubbed but that solved all pain. What hurt more was going to a store 2 weeks after purchasing these at full price to find the same shoe under a different name for 1/3 of the price. Even so, I am happy with my purchase, they are great shoes (and the other place didn't have my size anyway).

These are beautiful shoes. I had my heart set on a pair of Sebago's, but after a little research saw that Sperry's were the true originals. I absolutely love that founder, Paul Sperry, was inspired to make the nonslip soles by carving grooves in them after watching his dog run effortlessly on ice- and subsequently inspecting his paws to reveal his secret. As I have both a passion for dogs and the sea these are clearly the shoes for me. I would recommend to anyone. Incredibly comfortable- more so than my Chathams, classic style, good quality- and amazingly only £34 (I got lucky with the price reduction on my shoe size).

I have worn and gone through countless boat shoes all my life, you know those big name brands. Was always disappointed by the way those brands' heels wore down and the leather not keeping a good shape fit. But wait-enter Sperry Top-Sider's and I jumped up and down with delight! You don't have to be nautical to enjoy this footwear, although I am. Shoes are awesome! Very high quality and manufacturer. And the heels do not wear down!! I wear them all year round, with socks or bare feet. Yay! Love the seller. And the shoeboxes with lids are nice to save for stuff.

I have a slim foot, 4.5, and have difficulty in finding comfortable modern shoes (I don't understand why there is such a lack of half sizes, generally!). These deck shoes are just fab, particularly in the platinum as they add a touch of class and I'm looking forward to wearing them with dresses or trousers, and they would be appropriate to wear at any time of the day. They are well made and I know I will have to be careful not to scuff them, but that's a small price to pay for such a lovely pair of shoes.

Classic preppy wear, navy leather Top Sider boat shoe. Made to last, good quality and was far more comfortable than I expected based on prior pairs. However, the arch support is still pretty much non existent. Fortunately, there is room for an orthotic in the pair that I ordered in my regular size. If you have plantar fasciitis, use an arch support or steer clear of boat shoes and flip flops.

Absolutely in love with my new Sperrys! They rubbed a bit at first but I read online that you just have to get them wet (since they're boat shoes) and wear them until they dry. I did just that and voila-no more rubbing! I could now walk for miles in these shoes and have received loads of compliments - I got the Sahara ones. I even ordered a pair for my sister for Christmas.

I LOVE these Sperrys but I normally wear a size 8 but decided to order an 8.5 and was surprised that they were still too tight! I re-ordered them in a size 9 and they fit perfectly! Not too big for a full size larger than I normally wear. Plan to mail off the return of size 8.5 tomorrow. What I love about these Sperrys is that they are just like the originals.

I love my boat shoes! Have worn these since college (well, not the same pair, but they do last for years).Super comfy. They go with almost everything. These fit a little snug but they stretch out soon enough without losing their shape. They clean up well too, just a dab of soap on a sponge. No big deal if they get wet in the rain. They can take it!

I ordered these top-siders after wearing a competitor's more expensive boat shoe that squeaked and drove me crazy. These Sperry's are so comfortable, and quiet. They were a bit snug when they arrived, as a proper leather shoe ought to be. The size is perfect, the color is lovely, and I might get another pair to have on reserve.

I love my new Sperry's and they fit like a glove! They came a day before estimated which was all the more better. I would reccomend these shoes and it didn't take long to break them in. The only thing I have to say is that they scratch easily, but maybe it's just this specific kind of leather. Otherwise it's a great purchase !

I love my Sperry's, though this is the first time buying this brand online. Before purchasing, I went to the size chart to check my foot size and unfortunately the shoes arrived quite wide and large.My suggestion would be, try the shoes on a retail store in order to know your size, write it down and later buy them online.

Very comfortable from the start. Normally I end up with blisters or sore bits when breaking in new shoes but these are great.....nothing at all! Sizing is spot on (order your normal size). I don't particularly find them narrow - I would say I have normal width feet and there is plenty room.
