I've had two of these so far and they've been great, adding a fair bit of extra speed to data transfers from USB hard drives. I did note that USB 3 memory sticks didn't seem a huge amount faster than on a USB 2 port but I have not proven this, USB 3 external hard drives seemed a lot faster though.This device draws it's power from the laptop, don't overload the device but it handles three USB devices without too much of a problem.The only real issues I have found is that the device gets very warm, the supplied drivers for Windows 7 don't work, the middle port is quite lose on both the devices I have.

Worked out of box with GNU/Linux, guess it would probably work just fine with recent Windows'. Drivers were supplied on a CD. A great addition for laptops without USB3 ports.The only con I noticed is that ports are a bit close to each other, so if you have a huge USB drive you might not be able to use all 3 ports. Other than this, it's A-OK.

Just bought a dell second user second user laptop. Needed more USB sockets, so bought another one of these.plug and play is easy using the mini software disk which is a single exe. File.Totally recommended

Works well, and does the job its supposed to do .The only downside is that you need to search for, and unzip the drivers from the supplied disk .Can be frustrating to say the least !!

i was worried about the power insufficiency for external hdd or my usb3 camera but it was ok with them.

Work fine on win 10 on Dell Precision M4800. It is not aligned with schasis but ok. Gets pretty hot.

Well impressed. Not as quick as Usb 3 but much better then usb 2. Worth the money.
