Really love this bin and bought two - one for rubbish and one for paper/card recycling. Love the soft close lid. The lid can also be left open if required. The plastic inner bin can be lifted up to rest partly out of the bin to aid changing the liner. There is a hole at the back of the inner bin near the top to tuck excess bin liner in out of sight.Only snag I've found is that if it gets knocked over (dogs have had it over twice) the lid alignment is easily altered so it doesn't close as neatly as before. But I guess it's not really been designed to be knocked over by unruly dogs!

I purchased this bin mainly because of the colour and the high expectancy that Simplehuman were a very good brand.I have not been disappointed. The bin is very well designed and pleasant to look at. It has a soft close lid which when opened fully will stay open until you shut it. It has a ledge inside the bin at the back so you can tilt and insert the bin bag hands free. Also it has a lovely large foot pedal. Looks fantastic in my cream shaker-style kitchen. Worth every penny. Well done Simplehuman.

Only had it a couple of weeks but good quality and pleased with it . Sleek and attractive. I was hesitant to pay this much for a bin but it looks like I did the right thing and hopefully wont regret . It's true that you get what you pay for and this appears to be of a much higher quality than ones we have purchased in the past. You do have to buy more expensive liners though

I bought this for our Georgian style kitchen and it fits in perfectly. If you buy this bin, buy the bin liners as well as they are very strong and fit perfectly; certainly better than unfitted black bin liners hanging over the side.Great quality bin, holds a lot of rubbish. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Highly recommended

Having had several problems with my (very expensive) Westco bin I decided to go for something with a much simpler mechanism. I've been delighted with this purchase, it holds more, has a crisp clean finish and the slow closing lid works well. Very, very pleased with this purchase. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

I was not disappointed with this bin, which is built like a tank. With a strong heavy internal plastic insert which can be washed and lifted out very easily.The only problem is the cost which was very steep. However, you pay for what you get and this is the case with this stylish and superior item.

I never thought I would get enthusiastic about a bin. But this bin looks good and is an absolute joy to use. The plastic insert is good and sturdy and Tesco bin liners fit it perfectly. The lid has the ability to stay up and this is a very useful feature.

This bin is as elegant as a kitchen bin CAN be and the special features of slow release and a lid which stays in place whilst you dispose of rubbish makes it a 'cut above' really pleased. ANDS it looks so elegant and stream lined

As with all Simple Human products I have purchased, this bin is well-designed and feels very strong. The soft close mechanism works very well and it is great that you can tuck the excess of large bags around the removable basket.

Excellent bin. Suberbly designed and I love the soft close design. I would recommend buying the appropriate bags from simple human too. They never break and fit lime a dream!

Awesome bin, very high quality and has been going for a couple of years now with no issues. We prefer to use the Brabantia liners for it as they are tighter around the top.

Everything about this bin oozes quality. It looks great, is very sturdy and operates flawlessly. Shame it is only used for storing your rubbish. It is pricey, but worth it.

This is the best bin I have ever had. Looks stylish in a retro way and has loads of great features especially the soft close lid- now the kids can't slam the bin lid down!

Does what is says and looks great, the "engineering" in respect to use and cleaning is well thought through and it is good value for the quality finish.
