Ho. Lee. Cow.I bought two other SimpleHuman trash cans in the past and they both had a lip on the *inside* of the can that absolutely destroyed any bag instead of releasing it. Whatever product guy allowed that out the door should be punched repeatedly. But I digress...Normally I would not reward that kind of failure by purchasing something else from the same maker -- but in this case I am glad I did. Careful research beforehand revealed no lip or other impediment to bag removal, and indeed the product releases the bag like a dream.And it is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. My many children and I were filling up a reasonably large kitchen can at least once a day -- usually more.

We eat out a lot in my house (3 single guys). And that means lots of space-taking containers and bags from the daily pickups. I hate taking out the trash and found that I'd have to do it every day or else it would just sit full. Which it usually did because no one wanted to get around to it that frequently. This helps us get through an entire week. The only downside I found was that if certain leftovers are tossed early in the week then by trash day the kitchen starts smelling a bit. So we easily fixed that: we use the extra trash bags from the grocery store to tie up certain leftovers like beans or fish before tossing them.When I read the diameter of this trash can before buying,

I absolutely love this garbage can. I purchased it for use in my kitchen as I love to cook and it's made tossing scraps so easy and sanitary since you don't need to touch anything when you toss items away. Overall this can is commercial grade quality. The opening is large yet unless you are directly standing in front of it looking down, you don't see the unsightly garbage. If you are even considering this item and wonder if it's worth the price, it is. It even came with 10 simplehuman bags although I did buy the additional bags for this first time. The bags are great and fit perfectly. Nice and snug and when you toss something in the can the bag doesn't collapse to the bottom of the can.

LOVE this can. Ordered one of these for our church fellowship hall to dress things up. This can is the perfect size and the perfect look for our needs. Love the fact that you don't see straight down into the can because of the domed top. Also love the fact that you don't have to step on a pedal to raise a lid. Just walk by and toss. Loved it so much that we ordered a second one just like it and then ordered the semi-round one for the choir room. We have now purchased three and may order another one. Not your normal trash can, looks great where ever you put it. Also love the fact that the stainless does not show fingerprints or smudges. Just wipe clean with a damp cloth.

This a a big, beautiful thing of beauty!! Commercial grade for sure. SS feels sturdy. Not lightweight; so I know won't tip over. The lid goes fits down over top of bag. Bag fits around top. No separate liner inside. Am trying the manufacturer bags that come with the can. In the meantime, I'll research to find comparable bags to fit. This is larger than a tall kitchen can which uses 13 gallon bags; so definitely need larger bags to fit. Opening is large. I keep this at the end of our island. I prefer to toss veggies, items off into the can. This alleviates getting cabinet fingerpulls dirty to open the cabinet under the counter. I will use less bags due to this size. It is PERFECT!!!

We went from a household that relied heavily (for 20+ yrs) on a sink disposal, to one that COULDN'T install one due to septic restrictions. We were going nuts trying to get back in the habit of scraping/wiping plates without making a total mess -- until I saw this. It's worked out perfectly!The wide opening makes it easy to discard any kind of trash. Its size allows for easy handling of increased trash triggered by fewer acceptable recyclables in this area, and -BONUS!- its shape and sturdiness has proven to be a real deterrent to curious dogs!! =D

This can looks impressive and holds so very much trash compared to our old Brabantia can. 2 adults + 3 teens can accumulate a lot of trash- it seems we emptied the old one at least twice a day, more on the weekends. Had this for 24 hours and we're still on the 1st bag! Only downside- I can see how some folks got a dented lid. The metal is easily dented if you push it against a wall or if your delivery person isn't careful. Other than that, it's perfect.

The company I work for has several of these cans. I liked the design so much I bought one for home. It is simple and highly functional. We bought this to replace a step can where the lid mechanism broke. This can should never break since there are no moving parts. It also came with garbage bags that fit the can better than what you can get at the store. If not having the trash bag hang over the sides is important to you, you can attain that look.

I love this item. It is exactly what I was hoping for. Large capacity. I got tired of the one I had with a lid, found myself leaving the lid off for convenience....so this perfect. Was worried about "smell" containment ....but since I was never putting the lid of the older plastic one on anyway... Really no difference. And so much easier...one of the best purchases I have ever made

I dont like small trash cans. We live in a seventh floor convered were house loft and talking trash out every day sux. :). So i am enjoying this a lot. I even like the custome trash bags. I feel a bit spoiled and first world problems but i dodnt care. I like em. I hate when i had ugly bags over flowing out of the can. The can is pretty and sturdy. Easy to clean. Great desin people.

I have purchased a number of Simple Human products over the years and they're all great. They're a bit expensive but you get what you pay for in this case. As long as you don't mind spending a bit more, Simple Human is a great brand and I don't think I'll ever buy a different brand trash can again.

Great recycle container. Very large and holds a whole lot! This has made my life easier. We don't have trash pickup where I am, so we have to go to the dump. With this very big can, I only need to go once a week. Love it....also very good quality and the bags fit perfectly and never fall down.

Kind of weird to enjoy something like a trash can, but I love this one. Replaced a swing top can, and this one is so much easier to use, especially with messy garbage in two hands. Splurge on the custom fit liners, they seal the deal. It also looks nice.

Really nice and I take out trash 1/3rd of the amount of times I used to for my family of 5. I dont notice any odor from the can although it has no lid. Buy it!

What a perfect bin, especially for a large family. Wide opening on top makes rubbish disposal a breeze. It's designed to last for years and years.
