I bought two of these because I need a rubbish and a recycling bin and I have a small space, so the narrow width suits me. I find they work well with supermarket bin bags - I'm not a fan of having to buy specialist bags for bins. The lid is lightly weighted and clips on at the side. This is a nice feature in that the lid is secure and a pest, because you have to use both hands to take the lid off if you want to put something larger in the bin. I haven't had a swing lidded bin before - previously I've had lids that roll back or lift up - what I've learned is you need room to push the lid back, so it isn't as space efficient as I'd hoped and what you are tipping in needs to fit the 'mouth'

An excellent bin for the kitchen. Looks very slim front on, yet has good depth. The swing hinge works well, always coming to rest in 'a flush with the edge position'. The lid has some weight to it, but it is easily lifted off to empty. The black plastic has a matt finish which looks good with the chrome fittings on the lid. My only problem is that the width of the opening is not wide enough to empty a dustpan into. My old Addis Swing bin was wider at the front with a hinge at the back. However, I much prefer the look of this Simplehuman bin. Now I will have to take the whole lid off or empty the dustpan directly into my wheelie bin. The bin is very stable on the floor even when empty.

We've had a cheap white swing bin for a few years, but hesitated to get rid of it as it worked well. We couldn't use a pedal bin as we needed something that fitted inside a boxed in area with limited height space, but couldn't find a stylish swing bin to replace it, until we found this one. It is quite deep, with a narrowish front, but wide enough. The lid has a little weight to it and has a great swing action. But the extra bonus is that you can't see the bin liner, so it looks tidy. The plastic is good and solid looking. I would highly recommend this bin

If you are looking for a good quality, attractive waste bin look no further, this is it. Can't believe I am so excited about a waste bin! Have been looking for a new bin for months having gone through 3 touch top bins all of which failed in less than 12 months & the lids of pedal bins bang against the wall & mark it. Saw this online and decided to give it a go but not really expecting much, however it is brilliant, swing top works well & due to its good design it looks great in the kitchen. Very pleased with purchase.

I looked at loads of bins to go in my new kitchen. I was really taken by the SimpleHuman finger print proof pedal bin, but could not justify spending around £100 on a kitchen bin, no matter how pretty! I don't like soft touch bins as they always get messy and seem to break so I looked at lots of different bins and the reviews. I must say that this bin really lives up to all the good stuff already written. Well made, stylish, big, great swing action, easy to clean good price and a 5 year warranty! Perfect!

This bin is strong and sturdy and the swing action is good. I have to confess though I did not buy it to use as a bin, but rather as an overflow system for my gutter downpipe in my lean-to. I have waterbutts in the lean to to collect water and have placed the bottom of the downpipe in the bin, drilled a hole and fitted a 6 metre pipe to the bin and it now feeds the excess water straight to the drain, all neat and tidy and dry!

This is a very smart bin with an easily removed and replaced lid. I use a 45l liner with mine and have two bins, one for the items that currently go to landfill and one for recycling. When you put the liner in, you can tuck the top bit under the rim so there is a neat finish. Recommended for a good looking and easy to use bin.

This is a very well made, good quality bin, The lid is easy to take on and off and it looks nice in the kitchen. The opening is a little bit small and it's a bit awkward if you're scraping plates or emptying a dustpan into it ( I'm sure I'll cope). I should have bought the 60 L size but was put off by the price.

I have been looking for a bin as good as this for ages.This is the one..Well made and with very interesting features to be able to clean into the corners.I am very please you would deliver to Spain. could not buy anything like this on a spanish site ..not even amazon spain..many thanks for sorting this problem

This really is an excellently made bin...I never thought I'd say that about something made to collect rubbish. But it is. The material is first class. It's sturdy and robust unlike most of the usual branded bins. The lid swings freely and always settles in the same place. Very smart, practical and very pleased

This Item is quality built with some thought for longevity. It looks easy to clean. If you are like me I'm sick of buying expensive bins that looks the part but something starts falling off or not working properly within 12 months. I am guessing this is the answer, not much that can go wrong.

I was a little surprised at the weight and size of this kitchen bin. It surely has “presence” in my kitchen. Not exactly black in colour - more dark grey. It states that it is 60l but i have to really stretch my 60l bin liners to fit. Good quality feel. I just need to get used to its SIZE!

This fits in perfectly in my kitchen. I bought a pedal bin first but it was flimsy and not easy to operate. So this is sturdy plastic and I prefer the swing top. The bags fit easily. I thought it was expensive for a plastic bin but looking around found it to be good quality for the price.

We have a mixed recycling collection so was looking for a bin which took a lot of stuff. This bin is sturdy and fits under the worktop. Wished I had bought it before as it has saved numerous trips to the big bin outside. Would recommend this bin for general use or for recycling purposes.

Really fast postage which I'm happy about only thing I will say is that the lid gets a lot of dirt on it as it's a swinging lid not a pop up one like my old bin other than that it's a great item well made and fits in my kitchen well and it's easy to clean to down
