I bought this as it has a low profile like a DVD player and wouldn't look ugly under the telly where it would act as a media/internet centre. I have today fitted out one of these cases with a mATX board, ATX power supply, 3.5 inch hard drive, PATA internal DVD drive. Case seems well made and has a solid brace to stiffen it. Everything went to plan following the rather inadequate instructions - luckily for me I have built computers several times previously. Be careful to check that the motherboard mounting pillars are placed correctly for your particular board! I had to move one of the spare pillars and refit it to support rear of motherboard. Unfortunately, the cable to the front USB sockets is thick, too long, and not very flexible and gets in the way. No major probs in assembly - EXCEPT that when I slid in the standard DVD drive it would definitely not fit anything near flush with the case front panel as the rear power plug bashed against the PSU! I tried a SATA DVD and it was no better. Eventually, I went back to using the PATA DVD and used a blade to cut away as much of the rear of the DVD power plug as possible as this was the sticking point, and bent the yellow, black red wires aggressively at right angles to the plug. This bought me about 6-7 mm more space and the DVD drive at last pushed in place - acceptable, but still not flush with the front. I think that would not be possible unless you had an unusually shallow drive! The USB3 sockets on front are welcome but could do with a couple more USB sockets on front too behind a hinged panel as it can be a pain getting to the back sockets of a media PC when it's under the telly.Fired it up - worked first time and quiet. Noise would depend on your choice of components of course. My core 2 duo with stock fan is really quiet. The case is good for the price and I recommend it, but if only it were just 10 mm deeper it would make fitting a DVD a doddle and get 5 stars from me.

This is a good solid case. There is plenty of space for drives and facilities for routing cables. Also, this is ideal for a fanless box because of strategically placed vents on the sides and on the top of the case. Magnetic grille for protecting the top vents from dust is a nice touch. There is no escaping that this is a quality product. Materials are well chosen and accessories / screws are plentiful in the box. Instruction book is ok too, though things were all familiar so I didn't need it in the end.The whole case looks stylish. What you can't see in the pictures is that the front is finished in a curved grooved pattern. This looks good, and is easy to keep clean, but read on for one grumble on this.Speaking of grumbles, I do have two. First, the optical drive slot cover is not a drive fascia. Essentially you will have to break it out and place a drive made of different plastic and with a different design. Here, the grooved pattern only accentuates the difference.Second, I am using this case with picoPSU so the ATX power supply hole is gaping in the back. If there was a simple cover supplied it would be great. I'll come up with something, not that big a deal.As an aside, I bought a half-height slot loading BD drive (e.g. laptop size) and a separate part from silverstone that includes the tray and fascia (£13+p&p). This is great in principle as it comes with a similar grooved front, but the grooves are straight, not curved as the rest of the front. Not a big deal, it all looks good in the end.

I definitely like this case and would buy it again if needed. The obvious great advantage with it is that it can sit discretely on a TV stand like a large amp. or DVD player as opposed to an obstrusive vertical case.Unfortunately, because of the large grill for the psu, the large opening for the motherboard peripherals and 5 openings for brackets, the back side is too weak and lacks firmness. It should be re-enforced so that it would not easily expand outwardly under pressure and thus making the screwing of brackets a bit awkward as the holes become slightly misaligned. It’s not really a big deal, but still, it could be better.I had no problem at all installing a normal sized optical drive along with a normal sized PSU.In fact, I find the space between them extremely handy as you can stuff in it all the PSU cables, except obviously those needed, and thus help tremendously the air flow.I cannot really comment on HHDrives as I only installed one SSDrive. As far that goes, it’s child’s play. The black paint scratches easily when installing say a case fan, so better avoid screws if you can and use plastic fasteners or holders instead.I like the aesthetic of this case, or rather I don’t dislike it, but I whished the power and reset lights either illuminated the very buttons or formed a circle around them.

How so? You might ask. It comes with no power supply, or anything else that could make noise.I'll tell you that it came without one of its front legs, which was disappointing for what I consider to be one of the premier case makers. But I didn't open up the box to check it until it was too late to summon Amazon's help. So I had to modify the case with two stick-on legs. They do the job.The case is otherwise well made. I stuffed it with a quad core AMD processor, a DVD player and two hard disks as well as all the other necessary components. Routing all the cabling was a challenge. And here's where the noise problem is introduced. I first tried to get away with the stock CPU fan that comes with the AMD.It was too noisy for the bedroom - this PC would replace the Sky Plus box, which is quiet. I went through two replacement CPU cooling fans before I realised that the problem was *perhaps* the case.It has holes in the top of the case and all along the right hand side of the case where the CPU is. No doubt there to assist with cooling, it also allows out all the noise that might have been otherwise absorbed by a more substantial case. It's too low profile for me to consider using a fan-less CPU cooler, so I might try some accoustic material in there...It's probably best not to use this case in a bedroom.

This case is really nicely designed for housing a quiet and compact HTPC.I went for a PSU with a 120mm fan which draws air from underneath. The case features an air intake in just the right place, allowing the PSU to have an isolated airspace. As an added bonus the intake has an integrated dust filter.Another nice touch is a VGA port slot in the back, allowing you to mount a half-height dual-head graphics card without taking up 2 expansion slots. The case has mesh on the top, sides and back allowing plenty of airflow across the components. I've opted for a large heatsink fan drawing air from above, but you could equally have one or more case fans and a passive heat sink.A final bonus is the box of screws, cable ties and cables you get in the box, allowing for every eventuality. You even get a second dust filter which can be mounted over the top air intake! The only thing letting this product down is build quality. The metal used is thin and bows visibly in places. Due to this there's a cross-bar to give the case rigidity which gets in the way, and makes it hard to mount the second filter internally. However for the price I really can't complain too much, it's well worth the money.

The Silverstone SST-ML03B is a pretty well made product that allows the building of a quite compact "hifi" style PC. I transferred my AMD Bulldozer FX-4170 Quad Core 4.2GHz - Asus M5A78L-M board into it expecting trouble and frustration. However, it went in like a "rat up a drainpipe" as did the full size PSU, HP dvd1260 DVD drive and old "3.5" Samsung disc drive. I would point out that there isn't a lot of space afterwards but it's complete and had enough space to stuff the cables away from the main board. Currently running with a standard CPU fan and two stock case fans: the latter is overkill but the came with the old case.Downside: it only has space for the 2/3 (or whatever)height PCI cards: my full height (at the blanking plate) wifi card needed some gentle hacksaw work but fits fine and it wouldn't be the end of the world to have bought the correct one.So, I'd buy another if needed. A nice functional and sleek HTPC case. It can accommodate a full blown ATX PSU, a full size microATX motherboard, and an optical drive. I have it paired with an AMD APU in a miniITX board, and a low profile Noctua cooler, and it's performing solidly. It certainly looks very nice underneath the TV.Only negative things I guess are that it's a tight fit if you want to fit an optical drive. The PSU connectors are right up against the optical drive, so chances are a modular PSU would have problems, so to save hassle make sure your PSU is non-modular. Another thing is that you only get a dust filter for the PSU intake and top vent, not a huge problem but I guess it'd be nice to have a dust filter for the intake on the side too. Finally,it would be nice to be able to fit another hard drive easily in it. If you fit an optical drive, there's only one accessible and easy to fit bracket for a hard drive, the other one is kind of awquard. Not a problem for me since I've a 4TB drive in it. :)Overall, highly recommended for a HTPC build.

This case is nice an spacious and can accommodate micro atx/itx. The case resembles a VHS or early DVD player and it about the same size. It also maybe able to fit in some full size atx motherboards though you may have to remove the front HDD mount to enable this. You can mount upto three 3.5" harddrives in the case and obviously add much more 2.5" drives (such as ssd) and one 5 1/2" drive bay.I fit in a micro atx board, i5 and 8Gb DDR3 ram with a 500w psu (massively overkill) paired with a 120Gb SSD. All together including the case it cost maybe £350 which Is I suppose a pretty good bargin.A couple of minor issues I had/have with the case1.The supplied HDD screws are too short to fit through the plastic front drive mount meaning I had to use my own (which ofc wasn't really an issue).2. The power LED cables are labeled in correctly. One is labeled "+P LED" and the other is "Power LED+" what ever happening to the "-"

I knew what I wanted to go in the case and I wanted as small a case as possible (? HTPC style) This included 2 x 3.5" HDDs and an SSD as well as an optical drive. This case is described as an 'entry-level' case but it had everything I could have wanted. I cheated a bit by downloading the user manual so I could see potential problems. I was glad to have done this. The 'standard' optical drive depth is critical but many are shorter and are much easier to fit. The way to remove the optical drive cover is by unscrewing and loosening the internal drive tray brackets and remove the cover inwards. I could not honestly say that everything fitted together first time. There was a lot of re-arranging of cables but the final result was great. I had to add a 'case speaker' to hear BIOS bleeps. Motherboards no longer have these and the case did not have one. The final appearance was really cool.

For the price this case is really good. got this for a htpc build that wouldn't look out of place under my tv. putting it together was pretty uncomplicated although i did remove the optical drive bay and hdd cage to make it easier. i put in a micro atx motherboard, an atx psu, two 80mm case fans, a 3.5 hdd under the optical bay and another mounted to the removable hdd cage. i also put a bd drive in there although i had to apply a little force to push it in. i would also recommend using a right angle sata cable as it gets pretty tight on space as the psu is mounted behind the optical drive. one more thing, on my asrock h77 pro 4 m motherboard, the usb 3.0 header sits under the hdd cage which forced me to bend the connector a bit more than i would have liked. other than that installation was a breeze. i would definitely recommend this case for a nice looking budget build.

For the basis of a media HTPC which you want to blend into your living room this is an excellent case.I have used it to the maximum, with all 4 80mm side fans occupied, a low profile 'half height' GTX1050 graphics card, & 3 internal 3.5" HDD along with an SSD & Corsair SF modular PSU & MicroATX motherboard. I can't fit a DVD drive in this configuration, but there is a surprising amount of room in the case if you get creative. The front finish is a ridged-type so don't scratch your nail across it as it will mark. The blue power/HDD LED's on the front panel are also quite bright but that ias easily toned down with a black sharpie.

The main advantage of ML-03B is its short depth, making it possible to fit in the new shorter (after LCD TVs) lounge furniture. Easy to install, well made, looks fine (from a distance), but it has only one 5.25'' bay (that's why one star deduction). That means a choice either a DVD/blue-ray or Memory readers. And the remote externally. I've got a 5.25'' bay converter (LINDY Universal 5.25 Inch Bay Adapter for ODD/ HDD) that accommodates a slim optical drive. Below, I fitted a "Sweex CR012 External Card Reader" (requires some work) and a remote receiver. Taking into account the price, it is recommended.

Good low profile case but still leaving plenty of room for your required components and featuring the followingSupport up to four 80mm fansDrive cages with multi-purpose mounts eliminate need for adaptersEasy to install and cable routeSupport standard PS2(ATX) power suppliesIncludes two USB 3.0 portsDespite a low profile and small case I had no issue with the installation of my build and cable management was easy enough with dedicated cable routing. I used this in a Home theater PC build so i needed a quiet case which this achieves.

Pros: nice looking and fits nicely inside a TV cabinet.Micro atx mobo supportSupport for up to 3 HDD and 1 SS£Cons: cabling can be a nightmare if u don't know what u are doing. Not easy to replace HDD after installation due to cabling mess and case design.Made of thin material and a fully assembled case will wobble and bend due to extra weight if not kept flat on surface. But I will still give it five stars due to the fact it did exactly what I wanted it to do and I am well pleased with it.
