I chose this fan initially because it had to be fully socket 1151 compatible whilst offering a low profile as to not be intrusive and still give good performance, so far I've not been disappointed. Although others have commented about how difficult it is to fit, personally I didn't find it too difficult to fit but the M/board does need to be supported from behind when installing to minimalize any board flex as the spring loaded retention screws need a bit of pressure on them when tightening but once fitted it sits nice and low on the board. It's also incredibly quiet and it's cooling my i5 6600K down to 35C at idle and under heavy gaming load with CPU O/C to 4.5 Gb the cooler still maintains 55C which is better than I expected. Please note that I've not rated the durability as I've only had it a couple of weeks.

I ordered the SilverStone SST-KR01.This is a cooler with copper pipes and aluminium fins. I used it to cool a 2400G using it's vega 11 iGPU. This cooler managed it perfectly, idling around 28c, and under stress getting to 52c max.Really happy with it. I maxed the fan speed to test how loud it is, and it's almost inaudible at max RPM. Great performance for such a cheap cooler.Silverstone have also added clips to the fan, so if the ender user ever wants to replace the current fan, maybe for an rgb one, it's easily done. The fitting is your standard AMD clip style, which is easy to fit. It comes with thermal paste (not applied) however I chose to add my own (arctic MX-4,which i would highly recommend)TL:DR it's a great budget cooler

Built a mini gaming PC in a Silverstone Raven Z RVZ02B case, I7-6700 and a RX-480 8GB, M.2 256mb NVME drive and a 128GB SSD. Worked fine and fast and I was running on stock Intel cooler....it didn't get too hot, 27 degrees idle the and was at hottest 75 degrees at maybe 75% load....decided to give this a try as i'd seen a few similar setups with one, it was a TIGHT fit but it fits, v v simple to install I didn't even take the motherboard out the case!! Anyway, after install it's maybe 3 degrees cooler on idle and topping out at 62 degrees under the 74% load so 13 degrees cooler....I think it was well worth it. Only issue is the color of the can....I might change it out if I can find a fan as good and as thin/thinner.

Great CPU cooler I didn't like the blue fan so I replaced it with a Noctua NF-A9x14 low profile fan that is 1mm thinner than the Silverstone one so no problems with clearance. I have it on an i7 4790K and I've had to under clock it down to 4GHz because it was getting too hot with this small cooler but its the best cooler I could find with a max height of 58mm. With the i7 running at its stock turbo mode of 4.4GHz it was running at around 70-80 degrees just doing general use. Clocked down to 4GHz idle it runs at between 40-50 and under load its between 60-70 degrees. So its on the very edge of my comfort zone with temps but I'm happy with it.I would recommend it for an i5 or below but probably not for an i7

I bought this for a Home theatre PC Build to keep it cool and quiet and it is exactly that. I will post an update after benchmarking with a Intel G3258 Anniversary Edition OC'd as far as possible. On average under moderate load this thing doesn't go over 45*C with idle temperatures around 23 - 27*C Last benchmark I remember after 1hr of Prime95 Max Temp was 56*C with ambient being around 22*C. Please note you will need access to the back of your motherboard and this fits the socket 115X category i.e. 1150 etc. and screws directly onto the motherboard instead of a mounting bracket. PS it is very low profile and doesn't obstruct RAM slots, at least for me anyway.

Since building my new PC I had only installed a stock cooler to my i5. Under load I was experiencing temperatures close to 80 degrees c. Which of course won't kill my chip but it's not ideal. I was looking for a cheap aftermarket cooler to upgrade to at that point. Read a couple of reviews online regarding this CPU cooler that were quite positive and on the whole I would have to say they were right about this cooler. It's pretty great!Installing it was fairly easy and that's with my motherboard still in my case. Temps now get no higher than 65 degrees under load. The fan is so much quieter than stock and on the whole. Really happy with it.

The heat sink is identical to the one on the stock cooler, but the 80mm stock fan is replaced with a larger 92mm on this cooler. It cools a 55W CPU to under 50 degrees under load, about 10 degrees cooler than stock while inaudible. Compatible mounting with the stock on 1150, with screws instead of clips, driven from the TOP side of the board into the included backplate, but not needed in my case. Stock screws can be used instead as they have better springs and insert more easily. Recommended.

Very quiet, well built and effective. I have it fitted in a mini STX PC cooling an i3 7100 which is in a sitting room and always on. Can't be heard running and keeps temperatures in the low 30s running at the lowest speed (silent) bios setting. I have seen complaints about fitting this cooler. However, it uses an identical system to an Intel stock cooler and after reminding myself about how to set it up, what to push and what to turn, it was straightforward, even on a cramped mini STX board.

This CPU cooler is not for overclocking at all . Otherwise it is good , the 95 WATTs TDP is a stretch . My i7 4770K is a bad overclocker running at 4.2GHZ at 1.2V . on these settings my CPU reached 89C which is hot hot . I needed to down clock to 4.0GHZ at 1.09V , now my CPU tops at 76C , I can live with that .Pros:Small and fits most casesCheepNot loadeasy installlooks GoodCons:Low performance not made for OCing

To be honest I wasn't expecting much, nor did I need much. This delivered.I probably wouldn't stick it on a high powered chip but it works well enough (and quiet enough) on a 35watt skylake. The case fans were actually louderIt also came with it's own thermal paste applied so that saved me digging out my tube from god only knows where

I picked up one of these 1 year ago to for my RVZ01 Mini-ITX case and it has been great! There were only a few other low profile fans that was under 83mm and only the NT06 had 6 heat pipes and allowed me to reverse the fan so that the hot air blows outside of the case.Even with a mild overclock my fan stays under 70 degrees.

Took my Pentium G3258 from 48 Degrees idle (Intel Cooler) to 25 degrees idle in the Antec ISK-300 150 which is a small ITX case. Very easy to install, only problem is the title of this product is a 'Power Supply' while the product is a CPU Cooler. Should be changed, although it's obvious from the pictures what this is.

I have been running this cooler with i7-8086k for a few months now and I'm very happy with it. With the right set-up in UEFI It's dead quiet and keeps the CPU cool. It's very suitable for mobile system and open frames: it's extremely low profile and there are no heat pipes sticking out at sides. Highly recommended.

Overall it's a good fan for the price. The only reason I've taken a star away is because for some reason it takes a while to get up to speed. I've had to lower my RPM threshold to 500 just so I don't get a CPU fan error on startup. It soon speeds up though and keeps the CPU perfectly cool under load.

16.8.2017

As I use a compact chassis with not a lot of vertical room above the CPU, a slim CPU cooler like this was just what I needed. I'm still using this fan after unboxing it a good few months ago and it still seems to help keep the system cool and running without issues, so I'm happy with it.
