I liked Civ4 Warlords - but this expansion is even better. It remains the best strategic turn-based game that I have encountered; and that includes Colonization! There are ten new civilizations (each of course with special building and unit), six new leaders, six new universal buildings (incuding the levee, giving you extra hammers from river tiles, yay) and a bunch of new units, too. Some old/new ones: parachutists are back! I'd missed them since, what was it, Civ2? and guided missiles, too. But new units like the stealth destroyer and anti-tank infantry, too. New and improved wonders. Changes to the tech tree, including new advances.Random events ("a careless apprentice has destroyed your forge")- sometimes you can pay to have the event turn out better; sometimes the event is good, and gives anything from cash to unit promotions; sometimes it has to do with other civs. They can be switched off -but I like them (mostly). They add surprises.Corporations and espionage are new developments. I am not quite sure about the corporations - they are like new religion-type developmets, which give boosts to the mother city, and can be spread by young executives (like missionaries). Espionage is much more elaborate than ever before, and quite complicated too: someone just destroyed one of my spaceship parts, and I have not yet discovered how to do it back to my nearest rival, Hammurabi. My oil wells also are sabotaged at regular intervals, so I am beefing up my counter-espionage.New scenarios - some almost RPGs. I have not tried these; I have been too busy working my way up the levels. In summary I can say that this is as good as Civ has ever been; which is saying quite something. And it has a lot of corners I have not explored yet. I will be playing this for months and months - at least until Civ5 comes out next year (it is supposed to have hexes rather than squares, only one unit per hex, ranged attacks over more than one hex... nations can do joint projects... ?no tech trading, ?no religion) - I can wait, with a Civ4 as good as this!

I don't know how many hours of my life I have spent playing this game. I played Civilisation 1, 2, 3 and 4. I loved all of them. I have never played Civ 5 due to poor reviews. This game, the couch and a beer on a rainy day go hand in hand. I am suprised that I am still married.

I had lot of fun on the PC version of this Civ IV add on. Since I switched to Mac, I waited for this game. Buy this pack without any doubt.

Excellent content, highly recommended, makes the overall game a lot more balanced - and some of the mods are also great fun.
