This is an un-timed click and point adventure game with hidden object scenes and mini games. It also has an integral strategy guide. The artwork is not as precise as in some games but it is nevertheless very good and adds and `Olde Worlde' atmosphere to the game. There are also some simple but nice animations in almost every scene. There are only a handful of characters and they've all been well drawn but what is most impressive is that their lips have been animated to synchronise with their words and their chests rise and fall to simulate breathing which is a nice touch. The voice acting isn't too bad either. As is usual in these games there is a lot of interaction required between various items with some actions being quite obvious and others less so.If you get stuck however, the integral guide can be easily accessed in game. The transitions between the different areas is also quick so there are no delays in the game play.Hidden object scenes are numerous and vary in content with some appearing quite crowded but not all. Individual items are clearly drawn with only minor alterations in size, shape etc. to disguise them. There are 12 items on the list and the ones written in yellow indicate that they are hidden deeper and require some interaction in order to find them such as opening drawers or pulling back curtains and so on.Hints are unlimited and accurate and the recharge is quite quick. There is a nice selection of well drawn mini games which range in style and difficulty and they all can be skipped eventually. The game suddenly and unexpectedly ends with the story unfinished and the baddie getting away. However, the bonus level deals with this aspect and actually brings the story to its full conclusion. This is a bit of a let down as most players would expect a bonus to be something `extra' and not be just the final level. The other extras include the usual music, wallpapers, screensavers and concept art. This game is of a reasonable length with good artwork, clever interactions, nice hidden objects scenes and thoughtful mini games and so I highly recommend it for game play and it's good value for money. Well worth 5 stars.

Let me first point out that this is a point and click game designed to test your skills of observation and deduction. If you are looking for a button bashing shoot em up game you had best look elsewhere. In this game you play the role of a detective sent to a remote village in medieval Europe to investigate a series of murders believed to be the work of a werewolf. Don't worry about the horror themed storyline as there is no real violence or gore in this game and it is more than suitable for children aged 7 and over as advertised on the cover. Although some of the puzzles can be a bit tricky, even for adults!Thankfully the game gives you a re-chargable Hint icon and a re-chargable skip icon to help you with any puzzles or challenges that you are having difficulty with. But most of the puzzles and hidden object challenges can be completed without the use of your hint and skip icons. As a reward for completing the game you unlock some fun bonus material. Including screen savers, wall papers and even a bonus chapter to the game! All in all it's a fun and affordable point and click adventure and is well worth the price.

Had this game for ages before i got round to playing it,so glad i didn't waste any more time, loved it!!Starts off with a little girl looking for her missing Mum(she's eerily similar to the little girl in the house fire in Redemption Cemetery, not having an easy life of it,is she?)there are plenty of locations to visit, took me a litle while to figure out how to get onto the mountain path and was side-tracked by the heaving bosom of the circus worker,(hate to think what she will do to male players!!)but loved the graphics, the story and even the fact that i kept going round in circles a lot of the time.it took me quite a few hours to complete, ideal when i want a game with a challenge, although the latched gate at the back of the circus had me stumped for a while, but i'm not going to give it away, figure it out yourself!!this is a great game, good story, bonus chapter is fair as well,i will play it again, well worth the money.

I love this game because it is not just about finding items you also have to work out what to do with some of the items you have found. I also love the graphics and the atmospheric music which adds to the game. The game is about a detective (you) who has to solve a mystery where people are thought to have been killed by a wherewolf .you have to find out if is true or is there someone else murdering people.

I can't praise this game enough. Took a while to work through and had an atmosphere on a par with the Ravenhearst series. To me, that puts it on top. Collectors edition means some extra story, puzzles and hidden objects to play with and made this game complete. Didn't use the walkthrough, but then old hands at HOGs rarely do. Nice original artwork section too. Worth every penny.

I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this game. The graphics were great, the storyline interesting with a bit of a twist. There was not quite as much to'ing and fro'ing as you get in some HoGs that you can get and to be fair that suited me fine.I enjoyed it that much I purchased the other two in the series and can't help but wish there were more.

This is a very good game. It has the usual hidden object sections but it needs some thought to complete. I am a "silver surfer" but enjoy these sort of games as you can stop and start when you like. It sent you back & forth from place to place & I enjoyed trying to predict where I needed to look for the different items.

Great game. Best puzzles I have ever had to solve and plenty of them. Sparkle searches to "undo" hidden items very entertaining. At times sound and picture stuttered but overall the graphics were excellent and storyline interesting. Definitely a five star rating.

another good game from big fish games,i enjoyed playing this game, the graphics are good, the storyline is good,a very good buy for the price, only problem was the game could of been a bit longer, these games allways seem to be too short.

A great game, took me awhile to finish, but you evan had the bonus game to play which had me going here and there to find the objects. I love big fish games, they are so entertaining. I have had alot of them and hope to get more.

Enjoyed this game. Quite a few intriguing mini puzzles, just a couple had me stumped. Glad I bought it, I usually read all the reviews before I decide. So thank you to all those who recommended it.

Brilliant game.It has a good story and the puzzles are good but not all of them are easy which is good. There are lots of hidden objects to find as well. I was sad when it finnished.

Excellent throughout - kept me occupied for days!Unlike some other games of this type, all of the clues/objects were logical (and not overly complicated).Thoroughly recommend!
