Serious Sam 2 is one of the funniest and over the top first person shoot-em-up I have ever played (and I've been playing since the original doom). Wonderful sense of humour in the game, and in my opinion has the essence of FPS's at it's core. Absolutely loads of levels (the game seemed endless when I first played it! :-) ) From giant robotic spiders to demons with ridiculously big guns.What is the absolutely icing on the cake with this is that it works with the nvidia 3d vision glasses (you have to have the appropriate monitor and glasses though to get 3d). The 3d effects in this game are mind blowing using the 3d shutter glasses. The 3d isn't without it's occasional glitch,

An extremely impressive continuation to a fantastic shooter. The first was (1st and 2nd encounters) a great game with hoards of enemies, tongue in cheek humour and vast scenery.Now its all back but with a massive shine factor. Corteam have really worked on the serious engine and it looks fantastic. The scenery, enemies and guns are polished and even on medium range systems it still looks the part. And you get vehicles!The sheer variety of enemies and compete disregard for the fundamental laws of reloading guns make this a great brainless romp through world after world that will leave your mouse hand crippled. Its a relief to sometimes get away from the stolid sincerity of the majority of FPS around and just have fun.Highly recommended,

It's a shame you can't buy this new anymore but that means it's a bargain when you need more than one copy for each of your PCs. The Co-operative play all the way through is a bright and colourful Doom 2-styled retro romp and even after completing the game, I haven't got rid of the spare copy yet, I thought it was that much fun. Since you can use the Amazon Marketplace and get two copies for £6-7, that's perfect if you plan on playing multiplayer. Can't wait for the next one.Be warned though - it harks after Doom/2 and the first two Serious Sam titles so if you want more serious and sophisticated combat, this isn't the game for you.

Serious sam II, is probably the most fun you'll have in an FPS. It may take a couple of minutes to get used to, as it is quite strange from the beginning. The graphics are revolutionary (especially compared to the previous games in the sam series), the action never stops, your mouse finger will bleed! This game is also fantastically hillarious too. There are plenty of hidden secrets to find aswell, including: A frozen penguin, kung fu chicken, secret healths, Etc. But this game is extremely long, and it never gets boring! BUY IT NOW! Graphics: 8/10Gameplay: 10/10Sound : 9/10Lifespan: 10/10CROTEAM RULE!!!

I loved the first serious sam game.This is fantastic fun, I play this for short bursts after work usualy, Its not demanding and doesnt pretend to be anything but a fun shooter.Sort of nostalgic really.Great graphics, good satisfying feedback when you blow the alien scum apart.funny cutscenes and lots of humour throughout.If you like sohisticated games stay away, otherwise its a real winner.

It makes me smile just thinking about this game. It is a totally tongue-in-cheek FPS with all the dials turned up to eleven.A robot spider not good enough for you? How about a 30-foot high robot spider? Now how about five of them and an army of screaming zombies too?If you like blowing up lots and lots of baddies with an assortment of large and improbable weapons, this is the game for you.
