The cable definitely seems to be an original Sennheiser replacement. Wrapping while not absolutely perfect (as it is obviously done by hand) still looks great and feels durable. The mesh wrapping itself is plastic and while at first it felt quite cheap to the touch I got used to it very quickly. The only minor issue that I had was that the L driver's wire seems to be a bit longer when compared to HD 25-C 3.5m coiled cable and it looks like there is some unnecessary wiring just slacking around the drivers but that seems to be due to how the cable was manufactured by Sennheiser and doesn't impact comfort in any way.

Purchased this replacement lead as I had over many years broken the original. Arrived in very quick time. Genuine item, really good quality original lead set. It feels somehow tougher than the original. Only downside, when the lead splits to left and right earpiece, one side is considerably shorter. I think this will cause unequal stress on the short side.

Prior to this cable I broke 2 or 3 cables within 12 months,its still going strong its an absolute must in my eyes if you own sennheiser HD 25s ....

Came in the Sennheiser packaging, very pleased, headphones working and sounding great, will buy a few more as spares.

Don't bother with the cheaper options. Get the genuine article and no problems.
