I purchased a 14 L (M) compression stuff sack. Sea to Summit is just hands down the best maker for stuff sacks. I've used about every brand out there- they all have their strengths and weaknesses- but S2S just works. This sack is the 14L/ med. Id say you could use it for a large sleeping bag (like winter weight) - I fit my 2.6 lb 15 deg bag in a 10L sack with no problem. It's fine in this too but I have more room. Also good for clothing, jackets, etc. There's 3 big advantages to this bag:1. It's ultralight. Seriously feels like it weighs nothing.2. It's compressible- anything you get in there, pull the straps and you'll eventually get it to nearly two-thirds- half the original size.I am able to fit things into my pack more easily this way.3. It's bombproof- the fabric is very thin and light, but it's also tough. You're not going to rip it easily, and it's clearly well made.I do not believe this bag claims to be waterproof- not sure. I'm guessing it may have some degree of water resistance- but it's not a "dry bag."I always go to S2S because I know they'll have the best bag for my needs. I bought this particular bag as "used-like new" and it got here lightening fast and looks brand new. It even came in the original packaging. These bags are pricy but worth it- you get what you pay for. That's why I jumped on this deal. The only better bag out there is S2S's new compressible sack with E-vent fabric on the end. The fabric lets air flow in only one direction (out) so once you fill it it will keep compressing- almost like a vacuum seal- amazing. But they cost double the deal I paid for this, and this is a darned awesome sack. You can seriously never have too many of these.

Took this to Africa for 2 weeks. Also took an Alps. Difference: this bag is much thinner and lighter, and smaller, than the medium Alps bag. So, bonus on weight, but the material is super thin. I didn't have any rips, just be sure to follow warning to compress your content with your own weight, then tighten the straps to take up the slack. I ended up with an Alps small for my Kelty sleeping bag, and I put my clothes and a compressible pillow in this one. I like the Alps better, it seems of much better quality, and is significantly a better value. Except, it is much heavier, so when weight is an issue, that's a consideration.

I took this on a recent business trip, and it works as advertised. The compression sack is thin, strong and holds about 4 days' worth of men's summer clothes. I prefer this option to the two-sided packing cubes for dealing with return trip laundry.

Took my marmot xl sleeping bag and sucked it down to a impressively small packable load. So far so good. Well see after some repeated use how it holds up. Kick butt so far

Works like keeps and is really light. However, it is not promised to be completely waterproof.
