I had been using a bog standard 1gb card in my Nikon D50 and been thoroughly happy with it. However, that was the card out of my MP3 player and so I was having to make do with the 256mb internal memory - just not enough. I wanted to reclaim that card and buy a better one for the camera.I was looking at a Sandisk Ultra because my camera was unable to take advantage of the faster speeds of the Extreme, so Ultra would be sufficient. On the day I purchased, Amazon was selling the Extreme card for only 50p more than the Ultra. The Extreme comes with a few goodies - recovery software on a mini CD, a zip up case and there was a coupon in the box to download some RAW processing software for free.I did the math and the Ultra just didn't add up.The Extreme is great in the camera although I haven't really put it to any speed tests. What I have noticed however is that the time it takes to unload the pictures onto my iMac has diminished significantly. There's hardly time for the little blue bar to appear before they are loaded. Swoosh! Thoroughly impressive package.

I've used several varieties of SD card and that this one has so far surpassed all the others in reliability, speed and value. Now that it has dropped so far in price there is no reason not to buy one. The IV version may be out, but for all intenets and purposes I can see no reason to spend the extra at present. My main use is in my Dell Axim X50v to store music and video files and to hot-swap into my Canon digital Ixus. The response time from the Axim is markedly faster, even rivalling the in-built storage. Transfer of files using the card reader on the PC is MUCH faster taking only a few minutes to transfer a complete gigabyte's worth of music files.and so far I've suffered no instances ofcorruption from the card using it which I've had from both Kingston & Viking cards. If only compact flash cards were coming down in price as quickly, then I could fill the other slot on the PDA, too!

I was always happy with my SanDisk 256 Memory Card, until even on one week vacations, I was deleting photographs to make room for more. That's a lot of pictures! This 1G is fantastic. Although it has many other functions (digital music players, cellular phones, handheld PCs (HPCs), digital video camcorders, smart phones, car navigation systems and electronic books, etc), I only use it for my Nikon 7.1 camera. Here is what I found out.For pictures:High Quality Printable Pictures - 280 quantityPC (low) Quality Pictures (Websites) - 4,100 quantityFor Video Recording:TV Quality @ 30 f/s - 18 minutesCamera Quality (LCD) 15 f/s - 3 hours and 20 minutesThe only thing I am afraid of is losing it!One could always buy (4) 128mg cards or (2) 256mg cards, but this is a real bargain!

Fantastic little thing. I bought it for my digital camera (Canon Ixus), and I do not regret buying it. It is a bit pricy but worth every penny you pay. The speed is amazing, no delay whatsoever, camera starts immediately, transfer speed is great. You can take a huge number of photos and browse them so fast and easily. I put my camera setting on the highest photo size and accuracy and did not feel any kind of delay in saving, or previewing the photos. I like this card, it is great, and the best investment i've made as far as memory cards are concerned. If you take a lot of photos and do not want to be bothered by changing cards, or even if you like to take a lot of video clips, try this card,it is a great value for money. Highly recommended.

Firstly, I originally saw this card at a high street store for £124.99 a few weeks ago! Even today it's £73.99 at the Jessops online store. So good work to Amazon on keeping the price down.I bought this card for use in my latest digital camera, and really can't fault it. It's far faster than my older 40x SD card and 1 gig of space is enough for literally 1000s of photographs if you don't use the highest resolution. I took about 600 meg of photos one weekend and managed to download them using my usb 2.0 card reader in record time. The card has also survived being stood on a few times. ;-)

Very nice card. I bought 3 of these for the Canon S3. It is fast enough to shoot videos without filling the buffer in the camera and stopping (my old SD card is now retired). The high speed continuous shooting mode now works at full speed too.But wait there's more ...Apart from the usual plastic case, you also get a nice little soft carry case that can fit 4 SD cards in there plastic cases. And all at a great price (good old Super Saver Delivery!).

This card, and the Lexar 80x are the fastest (as far as I know) on the market at the time of writing, but the Lexar has some acknowledged problems with the EOS 350d (my camera). If you want an SD card for your camera look no further, since not only is it amazingly fast, it comes with free software (RescueDisk Pro) which will assist in recovering your photos if you accidentally delete them. Hit that one-click button now!

I'm using the 1gig Extreme III on a Nikon D80 (10mp) - shooting continuously it's impossible to fill the camera's buffer this card is so quick! it just keeps shooting till the card is full. What more can you ask? A fantastic price from Amazon too - and free delivery (I received it in just a couple of days, in fact well before Amazon's quoted dispatch date!!!)GREAT PRODUCT, GREAT SERVICE.

I bought this to put in my JVC HDD camcorder. For the price you pay online it is absolutely superb. Just don't go to Jessops (5x more expensive). I can now take great stills pictures onto the card as full speed and then quickly put them onto my laptop. With the tiny price difference from a standard card why go for anything less??? I will never buy a standard card again.

Need a quality device on which to store (or whats the point in taking a good picture)? Digital cameras need all the help they can get or they eat batteries - fast memory helps cut down time and therefore power, so if you just want to take the camera and LOTS OF PICS QUICKLY and STILL HAVE BATTERY POWER REMAINING - EASY and now they're CHEEP !

I use these cards in camcorders, camera's, PC's and even recording radio programmes from my Pure DAB radio. I've never had a problem with anything I've used them in.

Fantastic value for money compared to local stores. Very quick which allows me to record RAW quality images from my digital SLR camera.
