This is a thick shower gel, in effect, which reminds me a lot of Pears’ liquid soap. It’s a little thicker, and the aroma is different, but in terms not just of how it looks but also how it lathers, it feels really quite comparable. The aroma has more of a tangerine-like vibe, and just a little smokiness, but it’s not a million miles away from Pears’ either- and it’s a very nice scent. So it does feel to me like you’re soaping yourself down, rather than using a luxury oil here. The effect, however, is actually noticeable. I can feel an extra smoothness on my skin after using this, akin to using a more cream-based moisturiser. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling too oily or glossy either,it’s a subtle effect but it’s definitely there, and it’s a positive effect for sure. I’m really satisfied with wearing it and just feel overall that little bit softer, and that effect is the main reason for giving the full five stars. It’s a long-ish lasting moisturising effect too- the “up to two days” claim is a little bit ambitious but you do still feel moisturised in the late afternoon if you applied it first thing in the morning, and that’s good enough for me. Like other shower products the aroma is long gone by mid-morning, but the moisturising effect lingers for sure. The bottle and presentation is fairly standard, and I like the way the bottle gives out the oil in reasonable quantities, without you needing to be careful not to pour it away by accident. If you think of it as a shower gel then it’s a little bit expensive at time of writing, but as a moisturising cream it’s good value- and in practice the results are somewhere between the two, and it’s a surprisingly good hybrid that’s impressed me.

Very nice scent. I am not sure why it says "foaming". When applied I have massaged it several times and I could see a tiny bit of kind of foam (this simply means the oil started to become slightly white) but don't expect a real foam because it is not, it is simply a shower oil.Not very easy to spread on the whole body. You need a fair amount to cover all the body. I wouldn' recommend using it for intimate parts, I would use an intimate soap instead as I prefer feeling nice and clean instead of feeling not fully clean. The reason why I say that is because this oil is meant to leave the skin moisturized so it leaves a tiny layer to keep the skin soft.I have tried to not apply any skin cream after having a shower with this oil and I would say it leaves the skin fairly moisturized. It says it contains Omega 3. I don't believe in miracle creams or shower soaps. I think if you need Omega 3, you just need to take them in capsules or eating food that contains it like fish, nuts or if you don't like taking medications there are lots of fortified food like eggs, yogurt or milk.Very good price at the moment: £5.50.Overall I am quite satisfied with its moisturizing properties.Thumb up also for being microbead free and paraben-free.

I've used a few Sanctuary Spa products and their quality always seems good and I really like their signature fragrance, which is sweet but fairly gender-neutral. This 2-Day Spa Foaming Shower Oil shares that fragrance but it's more muted and less sweet in this formulation. Calling this a shower oil seems a bit misleading since it's still a SLS-based shower gel really but one that's enriched with Glycerine and a couple of natural oils. The oils seem to be near the end of the ingredients list so presumably they're only here in very small quantities. In use it's just like any good shower gel except that as it lathers up there's an odd warm feeling, it doesn't get hot exactly but you feel a sudden warmth which quickly subsides. It lathers up nicely and does feel rich and luxurious on the skin. I can't say I notice my skin being significantly more moisturised after use than it would be with standard shower gels but it certainly doesn't feel stripped or irritated, which does happen with some gels for me. Overall it's a nice product to use and fits the Sanctuary Spa range well but there's nothing that different about it.

I was recommended this by a friend when my tan started peeling after my holiday. WoW Wow Wow! I will never use anything else now. I have since bought loads more in the range too, which are all excellent. This shower oil, as soon as it comes out you know you are onto a winner, its thick and creamy and feels so luxurious. It does have quite a scent to it but I quite like it. It does what it says and lathers well, even dying myself I could feel how soft the skin was as the water just beaded off. Afterwards my skin just felt at a different level, so soft and lovely. I kept getting whiffs of it while watching a film ion my pjs and smelt lovely! I since have the bodywash, the bath foam, the moisturiser- its all excellent and I really wouldn't use anything else now. The only slight downside is that its slightly more expensive but you really don't need much of it so it probably works out the same. All in all, you cant go wrong!

I’m already a fan of Sanctuary Spa products so I was happy to try out their new Two Day Long Lasting Omega Rich Foaming Shower Gel Oil. It smells lovely, a subtle but beautiful scent that foams easily so you don’t need much. I have skin that needs moisture as I get older but find moisturising makes my skin feel oily and it’s time consuming. This amazing shower gel has hydrated my skin beautifully. I haven’t added my usual moisturising on my arms and legs and yet my skin still looks and feels smooth with no dryness many hours later, I am genuinely impressed. Sanctuary Spa recommend after cleansing with the gel rinse off then give your skin a quick splash with cooler water to seal in the oil by closing the pores,an effective way to keep in the moisture in the skin for longer. An ideal and quick way to keep a summer tan looking it’s best and protect skin in the colder months too.

Right, cannot rave enough about this product! A few years back I had an incredible honey sea salt oil-based scrub by a designer brand that would leave your skin not just clean and fresh, but moisturised and as if covered with an invisible film of essential oil that gives it velvety finish and leaves it supple and radiant. Sadly that product was discontinued and I thought I would never find anything like it! Until I came across this Shower oil - O! M!G! It is the second best thing to that designer bit of luxury I described earlier. It goes on like a shower gel and foams well, but when you start washing it off, you realise it was not just a shower gel,it leaves a layer of luxurious oil on your skin that makes you feel exactly like that discontinued product I was talking about ! I am so sold of this Sanctuary Spa product - will definitely be buying more!

This shower gel is a nice texture, it is heavy and oily and feels smoothing and nourishing when you put it on to skin. When you wash off it feels like it isn’t completely washed off which I guess is the whole point of a shower oil. Afterwards it does leave skin feeling more nourished than usual but it doesn’t last longer than the day it is applied in my opinion. I would still need to use a moisturiser at night time to keep my skin soft. The oils used in the bottle are nice, however it does still contain sulphates which I am not a fan of. I think there are skin friendlier washes out there. The smell is ok- probably what you would expect an oil based product to smell like but it’s not amazing and is probably aimed at someone who prefers more classic smells.Care should be taken not to slip in the shower when using as the oil could be quite slippy.

This is a lovely shower foam wash (can be also used inn the bath) from Santuary Spa. It smells delightful and left my skin beautifully soft and moisturiser. Supplied in a 250ml bottle. This shower foam contains natural pumice (which gives a very slight exfoliating action), orange fruit water and fresh lemon oil (these are quite recognisable in the wonderful fruity scent). This product foams up really well and if using a sponge or a scrunchie you do not need to use much. I felt this shower wash cleansed really well and certainly left my skin silky soft. The feeling of softness lasted all day and into the next day (although not quite two full days as advertised).Price wise it's not too expensiveat the discounted deal price of £5.50 but if it goes back up to the recommended £7 then I feel it is overpriced.

It’s Sanctuary Spa, so you know it’s going to be good. This is a Shower oil, which is different to normal Shower Gel. Preference is personal, and my wife prefers a more traditional Shower Gel, as opposed to Shower Oil. Using the product leave the skin feeling a little slick, not quite natural. Many will love this, but obviously not everyone. That said, this is clearly a premium product, with the usual lovely Sanctuary Spa fragrance. It doesn’t lather as well as one might expect, but again it is oil rather than gel. It is though rich and creamy, and does cleanse well, leaving a fresh feeling.I think that this will probably really benefit / suit someone with dry skin. All in all, a super product, usual Sanctuary Spa quality, and reasonable value for a premium product, but won’t suit everyone (what does?)

Sanctuary Spa 2 Day Long Lasting Omega Rich Moisture Foaming Shower Oil, 250 ml is a pleasant to use shower gel which is for me a duo product as I found it moisturised my skin while cleansing it. I would always have dry skin on my elbows and knees, after showering with this oil a couple of times, the dry patches have now been reduced to small tiny patches making them less noticeable and with each application, my skin looks and feels so much better and healthier. I love the light honey fragrance and everything about this shower oil is a delight to use. I would recommend if you are using it in a bath or similar please do take care as the oil is slippy if not dispensed directly on to the skin andmassaged thoroughly using a loofah or something similar.A quality shower oil which I am happy to recommend.

This is a lovely luxurious shower gel from sanctuary spa. There is only 1 negative, which is that the bottle is not sealed under the lid, so if the cap isn't on tight during transportation it may leak. But fortunately mine arrived safely and I couldn't wait to use it.The shower gel comes in a plastic bottle and an easy pour lid so you don't pour too much in one go when your hands get slippy. It lathers on really nicely and when its rinsed off, it leaves your skin really soft and gently. I can't clarify the length of time it stays soft for, i shower twice a day but definitely feel the moisture for 12 hours. The scent is a lovely gentle citrus scent, really pleasant and not overpowering.Overall,a really nice product which I would recommend.Thank you for taking the time to read my review :)

This Sanctuary Spa shower and body wash contains various oils including omega 3, 6 and 9 to maintain healthy skin and help restore skin elasticity. A little oil on a sponge or shower puff goes a long way as it lathers up well and has a rich, smooth texture. The fragrance is lovely but is one which is hard to describe - kind of citrussy but with a hint of spice. While the manufacturer’s claim that the oil will leave skin moisturised for up to 2 days after the first use I am unable to corroborate that assertion – my skin did feel soft and clean but I still need to apply my usual body lotion. Having said that I really enjoy using this shower oil as the lather and the fragrance make for a relaxing and pleasant experience and is an easy way to spoil myself during the current lockdown.4*

I wasn't sure how this would be, an oil that lathered sounded a bit of a strange concept to me but the moisturising aspect of this as my skin often feels dry after I shower. Firstly, I found that this oil really does lather, I don't get how it works but it really does. The lather spreads really nicely over the body and a little bit does go a long way, it also smells perfectly nice and the smell isn't too strong and overpowering. My skin does feel nice after using this and it is definitely less dry after my shower but I wouldn't say that that lasts for two days. This isn't a cheap shower oil but a little goes a long way and I think this would be good to use two or three times a week which would help it to go further.I do really like it and would buy it again.

Sanctuary Spa Shower Oil is is a bit of an indulgence given it's price of £5.50 , at the time of review, for a 100ml bottle but it's a joy to use and a luxury product. The oil feels thicker than the the usual shower gels I more usually use and has a very subtle hint of a Citrus scent. It's lovely to use and I find myself staying a little longer in the shower than usual when using it.The makers claim that the effects of the oil, smooth skin and the moisturising effect, will last for 2 days so this is intended to be used once every couple of days rather than as a complete replacement for your regular shower gel.A great product that ,while a touch on the expensive side,is lovely to use and does exactly what the makers claim.

I find this luxurious. Firstly the scent is very pleasant. Not at all overbearing but slightly intoxicating. The scent makes your skin have a delicate scent well into the day.I found the liquid to not be particularly oily yet it does have the qualities of using essential oils on your skin. It certainly moisturised the skin very well for a shower gel. Making it unnecessary to apply moisturiser to my body after a shower. It hydrates the skin as well as cleanses.A moderate amount will produce a good lather and suitable for full body washing. With regards to the oil description it does not leave the ceramics of the bath or shower tray and more slippery than usual.Id certainly get this again.
