This is an excellent product for treating and preventing sore, irritated hands. I bought it for my little daughter in the winter when her hands got very sore and irritated and after just a few days her hands were back to normal again. I also use it on my own hands and love the look and smell of it. Yes, it's expensive for a bar of soap, but if it does the job then it's worth every penny. I have used many emollient creams and soaps over the last few years and this is one that I will certainly purchase again. It's long lasting and hasn't gone mushy, which is a problem with many similar soaps. It's also got a very unusual and pleasant scent and lathers nicely which is something not all emollient soaps do either!I'm very happy with this and recommend it to anyone who finds liquid soaps strip their skin or that cold weather irritates it.

Bought initially due to Pears soap being hard to source during lockdown. On first use I was very unhappy with the smell. I was convinced at first wash that this was not the soap for me.HOWEVER the smell helped me keep my hands from my face. Also I noticed an instant improvement on th dryness of my hands. So I carried on using it, the smell become accustomed to the smell and it really does last months even with all this additional hand washing.Silky smooth skin, long lasting and I must admit better than pears.I will have to buy another bar as back on the pears soap my hands are dry again.

I get dry skin on my hands probably as a result of over-washing but also when it gets cold and a bit windy outdoors. I have tried emollient washes before and although they work, they can leave your hands feeling pretty greasy. With this soap I find that not to be the case. It lathers really easily and has a gentle moisturising effect, smells nice and has kept my skin in good condition without really noticing that the soap is adding a layer of moisture and protection to my skin. I would recommend giving it a try for mild dry skin conditions and prevention of such conditions thereafter.

I use this soap for psoriasis as it is the only thing that does not irritate my skin. It is fragranced but very gently so as not to unbalance or irritate the skin. With psoriasis the skin regenerates and sheds faster than a normal persons would so it leaves it feeling dry and flaky. I'm not going to say this cures the problem but it definitely moisturizes way better than any other soap or lotion I've used. The soap is a little on the pricey side so to make it last longer I let it dry out fully on the window after and shower and then keep it in a little airtight box.

Washing hands often due to covid-19 takes its toll and my hands were left tight and dry. After trying a few dry skin soaps which didn't work, including bodyshop milk soap, and the stinky olive oil soaps, I tried this. I love it! It doesn't lather much but leaves your skin feeling like you've just moisturised them - a slight stickiness of the oils, no tightness or dryness. The fragrance smells like strong peony and is floral. Nice smell but I think a fragrance free option would be better for those with sensitive skin or for men. It's a great soap! Cheap too!

As a long term eczema sufferer I've found it difficult to find a skin cleaning product that doesn't dry out my skin (no matter how hypo-allegenic is says on the label), but this soap bar does the job. Now we're going into the winter, sensitive skin is more in danger of drying out, but this Oilatum soap cleans gently and I'm left with soft skin after washing, which is more than I can say for some shower gels. Also found the Amazon price per bar is a pound cheaper than buying from the high street.Other bonus, is my other half loves the smell on me.

My daughter has very sensitive skin and Oilatum soap is the only one that does not affect her adversely. Unfortunately, it's not easy to come by any more as retailers don't appear to be stocking it, so we have to buy it from Amazon. It's a great soap for people who suffer from dry sensitive skin, eczema, psoriasis, etc. Just a shame it's not readily available on the High Street. As I've said, it's not cheap but it does last a long time and is well worth the outlay for me.

I love this soap!I have very dry and sensitive skin and this is the first bar soap I've ever trusted on my face - normally making do with hot water and a flannel. As others have said, the perfume of this soap is a bit powerful and i can understand how it could be a problem if you don't like it, but (frankly) it just smells "clean" to me. I love it and will continue to use it (in spite of the outrageous price).

I have had red skins patches on my hands and face that come and go with stress. This product is the only soap the doesn't make it worse. Recommend this for any one with sensitive skin. The smell is a little different than a normal soap but okay. I use it every day in the shower and a bar lasts me a month. I have it on Amazon subscription so the next one just arrives without me having to think about it.

I have dry skin on my body and on my face, and I can be prone to very dry patches. After using this stuff once my face improved so much, then when I used it again it was like I'd never had dry skin in the first place. I use it on my body too, and you can tell how moisturising it is just by getting out of the shower and seeing water sitting on your skin as if you're oiled up. Can't recommend enough!!

Great for sensitive skin, I use this on my little boy who has very sensitive skin so try to keep it all natural or use oilatum. This takes a while to lather and can be very fiddly because of the oils in it makes it super slippy but it's a very good soap and leaves a caring film on the skin which locks in moisture. Good product, I have it on subscribe and save so it's very cheap.

Hi,Held back on writing review.I have phorisis on my legs and havevtried various soaps. Was using the new Dettol saop for sensitive skin with moisturizer. Came across THIS soap and it has actually helped in improving the phorisis flare-up,Ok. The smell is different But you get used to it as you get results on the skin treatment. Will buy again.

This is a beautifully fragranced but gentle soap that feels soft and moisturising on your skin. I have eczema and this is the only cleansing product I have found that does not irritate my skin. I love the fragrance and would recommend this product to other eczema sufferers.I would give it 5 stars, but it's a bit overpriced, in my opinion.

This seems to be the least fragranced and least abrasive soap we've ever tried , and we've tried a lot ! Still a bit of a fragrance but doesn't seem to cause excessive dryness or aggravate broken skin. So far so good , only gave 4 stars as need more time but will update ! Also use the oilatum junior bath oil

The only soap bar I've tried that DOESN'T make my hands feel dry and itchy after use - and I've tried a great many. I don't like using it on my body - it leaves the skin feeling sort of tight. - though if used with the Oilatum cream then it's fine. Would recommend this soap bar for just hand washing.
