I bought this as a way of tracking my progress with VR (virtual reality) gaming - I've been using VR for a while now, but only got into the fitness side of it during lockdown. I predominantly use BoxVR, Creed and Everybody's Golf for fitness purposes - and only one of these tracks your calorie burn. I wanted to know how many more calories I was burning per day, per game! But it goes deeper than that - this can also track your heartbeat - and your sleep pattern! This has really helped me with pushing myself further with my exercises, in hitting - and exceeding - those calorie burn targets, and without really trying, I lost 1KG of weight in the first week! I am also slowly improving my sleep pattern, which is helping with overall fitness, thanks to this device.Because I work in visual effects, I spend long, long hours in front of the PC, and I was becoming hunched in the shoulders, walking with a slight stoop. Since I started with VR fitness, using this device as a means of tracking my progress, within two weeks, my girlfriend has noticed a marked difference - and that my hunch and stooping posture has completely disappeared! But the thing I am most drawn to are the sleep tracking results. It records how long you have been asleep - and breaks those hours down into time spent awake, in light sleep, REM sleep or deep sleep. I always thought I was a deep sleeper - but apparently not! You can set an ideal bedtime and wake up time, and the device will log this and chart your progress daily, letting you know your success or failure rate with sticking to that! The only thing I find frustrating sometimes, is that the next day, I wake up - and find that the device has not recorded my sleep properly. It either states that I went to bed two hours before I actually did (!), or fails to show the breakdown of your sleep cycle...this MAY be because the Fit has become disconnected from my phone - and it's all too easy for that to happen: I just walk into another room without my phone, and the Fit is suddenly disconnected...! I would have preferred a connection that has more range before becoming disconnected - but this is a minor quibble for the price. As long as you are aware of this, you can always make sure that it reconnects when you need it to. My only problem is, when half asleep heading for bed, that's the last thing you think to check...! But so far, in a typical week, it might miss one night of recording sleep data accurately, and I can live with that.My only other minor niggle is that I need glasses when reading (but rarely use them!) - and sometimes the numbers can be difficult to read, as this device is small. If your eyesight is good, or you wear glasses all the time, this won't be an issue. What I DO like about the display is that you have numerous options on what you want on the display, and can alter it very easily and quickly, via the phone app, so it will show whatever info you need displayed for whatever task you are performing. For example, when exercising, I have it show the time, calories burned, steps taken and heart rate. For the rest of the time, I switch the steps taken to battery life left. Handy!Battery life is around 5 days...it might go up to 7 days, if I switch the heart rate monitoring from every ten minutes to record manually only, but this is fine by me. Full charge from 0% to 100% takes a good couple of hours though (possibly more - I didn't time it!), but that's on track with most smartphones these days...If you want a small, simple fitness tracking device that won't break the bank - and especially if you only want to track your fitness, then I gather that this is one of the more accurate ones at this price point out there. It does tell the time, give weather updates, provide phone notifications - and I am sure much more than this! - but I only use it for my exercise routine and tracking sleep, and for this, it's perfect for me. I use my phone for everything else, and that suits me just fine!

I've not worn a watch of any sort for the last 25 years, having become accumstomed to the mobile phone fulfilling that purpose. As phones have got bigger and more prone to damage, I have been more reluctant to have it on my immediate person, especially as I do enjoy a bit of me time and don't always want to communicate with those who seem to think I provide a 24 hour service. Sorry guys.First, it has to be said this isn't a fully fedged smartwatch and neither did I want that, especially at the price! What I was after was something that would alert me to a call or other communication so I at least knew who I was ignoring, whilst at the same time providing some kind of health monitoriong.I tried a cheaper brand to start with, but was quickly disappointed by the poor touch response and, more problematical, I couldn't read the screen. As I already own and very much like a Samsung Galaxy Note 9, I thought I would try the Samsung Galaxy Fit, to which this review pertains. The first thing I would comment on is the amoled screen, which is crystal clear, crisp and kind of a beauty to behold. The text is clear to read and the touch response is as good as my phone. I have the phone linked using the Samsung App, it's primary purpose being notify me of communications received. This it does very well, providing caller details re phone communications and a text summary re others. The main screen also shows the time, date, weather, battery level, heart rate and Kcal energy useage count. The fitness tracking is comprehensive, especially when used in conjunction with the Galaxy Note. Sleep monitoring is very reliable and battery life excellent at 4 days or so.For the media junkies out there, this doesn't play music, doen't allow you to make and receive phone calls and doesn't have onboard GPS. If you want these, this isn't the device for you. If you just want a very accurate fitness tracker with excellent added value and the best screen around this is for you.

Had this watch on for a full day now after getting it yesterday and initial impressions are good. First of all it only cost me £49 in a special offer. The watch itself looks and feels good. Charging is easy as it uses a Magnetic dock, so no need to disassemble anything. I used the adaptor from my Samsung phone to charge via socket. It also can be plugged into a usb port.Screen information is highly customisable. Features like steps calorie, heart rate, stress, water intake and sleep. Even has a screen and information for the weather! You can get notifications from social media etc but I've turned all these off after checking they work as I primarily want it for fitness. It's good to know I can connect with Instagram, emails and txt etc if needed. The app to connect to my phone was easy to sync. It was already in my phone called "Samsung Wearable" and lets you change the look of your watch screen and let's you choose apps you want on each page. So much available to customise so it will suit most people.First day step count seems accurate enough. With data sent to the phone on how long I walked etc. Battery after first day and a bit is at 75 % but I'm expecting it to last at least 5 days (something I will look out for).5 day test UPDATE! Step count is fine as long as you walk with a correct arm motion which I'm sure we mostly do. Even jogging pick up the right amount of steps. Battery had to be charged after 4.5 days but this does include the initial software update. Full charge took over 3 hours. Hopefully it will last longer this time. Syncing to phone is working fine. I manually don't a few time a day and it records everything in want well.

So, I have a galaxy watch which I love now Samsung dropped the new one ui update! I wanted to try the gallery fit as it would be more comfortable for working out in and sleeping in. It arrived today and I have had a small test. I walked for 1.29 miles and the calories burned was very low so maybe Samsung might want to look at that. I looked on the Wearable app when I paired the fit to my phone and noticed that there was a feature added which meant the app would know automatically which watch I was wearing. I got back from my walk and had a shower and put my Galaxy watch back on and all of a sudden I had a notification on it saying that I had reached my step goal! When i looked at my step count on tge watch it had updated the new step count after my walk wearing the galaxy fit! This is amazing! It means that the 2 devices uploaded information to the Samsung health app and when you wear either of the devices, your step count total will show on it! Samsung look like they are achieving integration across their devices, might be an eco system worthy of going up against Apple!

Regardless reviews connected GPS works (not in auto mode, but activated manually from the band) with S10 and Samsung Health when cycling including accurate route/distance and speed.I bought it knowing it doesn't work so it was a pleasant suprise. I do workouts 3h (various stuff, cycling swimming, running walking, weights) a day for last 2 months having tracker for around 4 weeks now and it keeps battery for around 4.5 days. Lightweight. A bit on pricey side but with connected GPS still 5 star as not expected to work after reading reviews. BPM monitor is bang on. Whoever claims otherwise probably has got the strap too loose. had a couple of sleep tracking issues when moving a lot (showing breaks in sleep while I was in deep sleep, but kid crawled in to my bed).Would buy again.

Awesome, love this watch. I like the step counter so I see that I reach my daily target and get i notification when I do. I love that I get all my notifications from my phone like FB, WhatsApp or deliverys as I don't have to carry my phone round with me in the house. I don't get on with normal size watches so this is perfect as dont notice I'm wearing it. The battery last 5 days which is fine as I love the wireless charger which I use every 5th night. All in all love this watch been using over a month and its very reliable and useful.

I love this smart watch. I need smart watch for track my steps and see the notifications. I have small baby so my phone is many times on muted sound or is somewhere in the changing bag,so I missed lots of calls. Now I get the notifications on my watch ,so is not anymore problem when my phone is in the bag, because the notifications show me all phone calls and messages. You can see notifications from WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram. You can make quick responsed and that is very helpful...there are everything what I need

I got this due to having recently bought a Samsung phone and it pairs really easily with it.It has good features and is a strong rival to a fitbit which I usually have. Good auto recognition to exercises and is also waterproof which is an added bonus. Biggest downside so far is the battery life. I barely get three days out of a full charge so if you're more active than most this is disappointing although I can live with it - for now. Overall I like the watch and would recommend

25.3.2020

This is a really good fitness smart watch. The auto features are excellent for walking and running (I don't cycle so can't comment on that!). Very comfortable and I don't even notice I'm wearing it! The battery is pretty good even with the heart rate monitor setting permanently on, and it charges really quickly. It syncs easily with the Samsung Health app and it's easy to change any settings on the watch. The only downside is that the sleep monitor doesn't always kick in when asleep.

20.2.2020

This watch does everything that fitbit does but more. This is linked to your phone Samsung health so you can see everything on the app from training to sleeping to auto workout by walking. Brilliant watch to have. It also has loads of changes for clock face as well as cheeky timer when you are doing the hiit workout out or a plank. This is far better than a normal Fitbit so would defo recommend it if you want a simple affordable Samsung watch that track fitness as well as stylish

20.8.2019

Bought for 13 year old son. Good for this age group and beyond. Watch design is good whereby the strap tucks in behind rather than sitting out but it is rather fiddly to do this. Stress monitor I think can be disregarded as inaccurate but overall the other features work well. The ability to send text and social messages messages to the watch and to be able to send preset replies is a useful feature. Pleased with the product and it has been pitched at an affordable price bracket.

2.7.2019

My main reason for getting it that you could reply to texts on it. This part didn't disappoint at all. You can even add your own replys in the phone app. The last fitbit I had kept losing connection with my phone and I had to manually reconnect to my phone all the time. This phone does it automatically. Only down side is the step counter. After 1hr cardo in the gym it says I've only done 1200 steps. I have I've seen reviews of other people saying the step counter isn't correct.

This watch was bought to replace a cheaper (non branded) watch. I went for the Samsung as i knew it would connect to my Samsung phone easily, which it did. It is comfy to wear, and you can buy additional straps, if you fancy a charge. Battery life not ace, maybe 3 days on full charge, but better than my old watch. You can swim in this one too, which will be great on holiday. O have showered in it and it is perfectly fine. All in all great watch

Used garmings and fitbits before...Is really really good. Does the right time of sleeping telling me when i went to rem deep sleep or awoken over the night. This with the samsung health app makes it amazing. It pairs independently with my map your walk app for heart rates and intwnsities.Been uaing it for 3 days with 5 workouts so far and the baterry is still on 79% so far... the baterry is just impressive.Im really happy with this purchase.
