Got to admit its i have played a few manager games, but have to say that this one has satisfied my rugby passion for a decent rugby game, yes OK its a manager game but i think its on par with the best of them such the likes of football manager ect.Pros... of this game, its got all the features of a manager game that you could ask for and its licensed for all the big leagues such as Aviva Prem, Pro 12, Top 14 ect and its pretty bang up to date with the squads give or take the latest transfers.Cons.. one of the main things i found with this game was that of the menu navigation that you have to do, I could see it being pretty daunting for someone who is not familiar with this type of game,

Simply the best rugby manager game there has ever been, and a good fun game with real accuracies with the rugby world. There are flaws of course, but it had to get 5* purely for delivering such a good game!I am only a few weeks into the season, so haven't experience transfers and contract re-signing, but I'm so pleased with it so far.Positives:Accurate database - the right players, in their right positions, with reasonable stats. You even get the picture of each player!Fun in game management - I like the team calls idea, . and they do seem to work and give you an influence on the gameEditor - obviously you don't quite agree with your players' ratings for your favourite teams,

There has been a number of Rugby titles released recently and this is by far the most promising one I have played.The number of leagues available and licensed players in the game is very impressive. And there is enough unlicensed teams in both the Northern and Southern hemisphere to keep Union fans happy from all around the world.Getting used to the UI and controls can be a little daunting at first, but once I had familiarised myself with the menu and features, I soon began to enjoy the title a lot more.There are quite a few tactics and managerial tweaks available for the most astute tacticians, whilst maintaining a nice balance of streamlined elements (such as the team select feature)

This game 3.5 stars that has the potential to be 5 stars.If your expecting Football Manager type slick graphics....you ain't getting it.Tough negotiations....you aint getting it.realistic signings....you aint getting it.Fully Licensed Teams and Comps throughout the game....you aint getting it, but with a lot of man hours you will.But once you get started and able to navigate it, its an addictive game and quite enjoyable assembling your dream team (if possible) and getting rid of that dead wood (that you wish they would get rid of in real time). It's not quite worth £20...just yet, with time it will if they keep at it.They gaming company have this platform now to build on, they just have to make some tweaks,

I was debating weather to give this 4 stars or 5 stars, in comparison to Football Manager it's probably a 3 or 4, but in comparison to every other rugby management game ever produced it's it's much, much better, and easily a five.Lots of good things in the game, and it realistic to a certain extent, I've worked hard to improve the facilities at the Ospreys sadly going into my third season the salary cap is killing me!It's actually a lot of good fun, there are clearly a lot of small errors in the game that need fixing in future versions, all the rugby season for both hemispheres is at the same time. Italian clubs seem to get relegated from the Pro 12, while Viadana popped up in my Heinaken Cup pool!

Having been an avid football manager/championship manager player. I always hoped they would make a rugby game. They didnt, but this company have. I hope its 1st of many. no where near the scale if fm games. But its a gd start accurate positions and names and photos. The game should be able to be continued without having the same info bar drop down. Hope they fix for next game. Also transfers are hard to make and pre and halftime team talks are no where near where they should be. I went glasgow warriors and lost 1st 3 games about 30-12 every game. Now warriors has a great defence but did not show in this game. Lost to zebre with my 2nd team 40-5. When in my lifetime has that ever happened?

Very impressed with the game so far. I agree with everything posted by all the other positive reviewers. It's no Football Manager, but it is better than anything I've seen before. A few of the stats are a bit out, as are some of the positions and values, but the editor should take care of that. If you don't have time to do it yourself, keep an eye on places like The Rugby Forum where logo packs and edited databases are already cropping up. Fingers crossed this becomes an annual thing that the producers can incrementally improve. A case of so far, so good.

I can only add what many others have in that if you are expecting Championship Manager/ Football Manager you will be disappointed, but as others have pointed out this is a magnificent first attempt. I can only urge the makers to follow the aforementioned games structure & they will have one hell of a game on their hands.It is highly addictive & a much better than expected match engine. I suppose it plays like a really top end smartphone game more than a PC, but to reiterate a magnificent foundation for future releases.

I am really enjoying this game. It is the best rugby management game I have played. There is a lot to this game, a lot of depth and features, so you do need time to get to know your way about, but once you have learnt your way around, you will find it very enjoyable. It is not on a level with Football Manager, but then you would not have expected that ,with the Football Manager series having being around for some 20 years. But never the less this is an excellent start and all rugby fans should really enjoy it.

What a great game! I got this as a Christmas gift and have found it so addictive.It's really in-depth and realistic. I've always hoped that someone would develop a top quality Rugby management game and Alternative Software have really delivered the business here.My cousins bought the game based on my recommendation and they are also glued to the game. I hope this series continues for many years to come!

I don't have this updated version, but I did buy the first version, and this is a great game! It may need various improvements, but a very thorough and well-made game, which can only improve with more infrastructure in later releases. Keep it up, and before long it'll be a must-buy in all gaming shops! Excellent stuff. I would definitely recommend this for any rugby fanatic or sports enthusiast!

PLEASE STOP rating and comparing this with a modern 15th generation football manager game. This is a very basic game made by someone who likes rugby but only has the backing to make a limited game. This is on a par with a football manager game from 10 years ago, basic but solid. Hopefully people will buy and give the maker a couple more chances.

Played this for several hours now and I'm starting to really get into it. I made the mistake of thinking I could just jump in and get going with it straight away, but that was too difficult. I had to follow the tutorial and use the manual to figure a few things out, but once I did, I started to feel good about the game.

I've been searching for years for a rugby manager game, this one is the best I have found, yeah some of the stats are a little favorable to specific positions and some players persons are wrong. Any rugby fan that loves the football manager games will love this as well
