Highly unusual product that you will either love or hate! The Lightmaker Pad is a touch-sensitive surface that can be used for much more than just Drums. There are presets that allow you to use sections of the surface as switches, as faders, as pads or to control instruments other than drums - e.g. synth. For the artist, it allows highly-expressive interaction with instruments - far beyond what can be done with a keyboard. 3rd party (free) software allows setup of custom pad layouts. The Loopmaker Block can really speed up your recording process by cutting out the keyboard.You get a lot of bundled instrument software - be aware that you will get more software with an Apple setup than a PC setup.
