This is the current version of the original Lumiere from the 80's and, while not the same, it's still worth buying. A sparkling, soapy floral befitting of the name Lumiere; it starts with bright aldehydes and then turns green and flowery with honeysuckle and lilac. While not as well-rounded as the original and lacking some depth, it has excellent siliage and longevity. I would always go vintage ( price permitting ) but this is a good second choice at a brilliant price and far superior to the previous re-issue in the narrow bottle with clear juice.

Not what it was but nothing is. Still a beautiful chypre and coming from the same creator as Mystere, it is well crafted with good sillage. Now bring back Mystere which I wore throughout the early 80's. Not for the millennial crowd as it isn't syrupy sweet enough.
