Forget any other brand for aircompressors, I was tempted between this and the more expensive Micheline models, but opted for this due to its small size, and handy, neat carry bag.I'm very particuar about my tyre pressure, I check it every week with a seperate pressure gague, and usually top up my air every 2/3 weeks. It works very well with any measurement, PSi, BAR and KG/CM. I prefer BAR, my my Dad borrows it, and he like PSi.Display is back light, so night time reading is easy.Auto cut off is excellent, just set your desired pressure and you're off, you can do something else like dip your oil as the tyre inflates.Takes up no space in the boot. The tyre delate option is really good too,and you can deflate to an accurate level are the pressure gague on the compressor updates as your deflate.I have this unit for over a year now, as mentioned above, I use it fairly regularly on 2 cars, and it's working just as well as the day I bought it.My only cons would be the LED light, it's not particularly great.....it's actually fairly useless. I've a Led Lenser P7 and a Petzl Headtorch in the car at all times anyway, so the light isn't a big feature for me. But it's something to bear in mind if you are buying this compressor with the intention or relying on the provided light. It's only good enough to find your dust caps.I found the valve connector a little bit fiddley and plastiky, unscrewing it from the tyre valve could be smoother, you do loose air, but I'm nearly certain the compressor gives a little extra air to compensate. When I check the typres with my other gague, the readings are at the desired level. Once you get the hang of it, you can minimise the air loss(as I unscrew the hose from the valve, I usually press the hose into the valve as I unscrew it, and this minimises air loss for me anyway. As connecting the hose to the valve can be a little combersom, I'd encourage people to use a seperate pressure gague for their regular checks, and use the compressor strictly for inflatingIt's a great unit, and something every driver should own! Ring owe me some commision at this stage, at least 5/6 friends & collegues have bought this unit after seeing it in action. At work, when ever anyone has a flat, I'm known as the 'guy with the pump' so it gives you a good oppotunity to rescue damzels in distress!

One star deducted for the screw fastening because I find I prefer the sort of clip fastener you get on conventional foot pumps. Despite doing it as quickly as possible, it always sounds as though I'm releasing quite a lot of the air I've just put in while I unscrew the business end from the tyre valve. However, having tested the tyres straight after this, it seems to me that the pump puts a little bit of extra air in beyond that showing on the gauge to allow for mere mortals who can't unscrew the thing in the blink of an eye. It claims to be able to inflate a flat tyre in about three minutes, but I have my doubts since it has been a bit slow on some of the top-ups on two of my tyres that have a bit of a slow leak (but maybe the leaky valves are affecting the pump's performance). However, it's probably still faster and certainly much easier than messing about with a manual foot pump and the sore leg and indigestion that goes with that sort of old technology. I would rate it as quite noisy. Not terrible, but noisy enough that if I had neighbours, I wouldn't want to use it while they were still in bed. The automatic cut-off once it reaches the pre-selected pressure is good, as is the ability to choose different types of pressure measurement. It seems to default back to psi though, which is a bit annoying since the pressures for my car tyres are listed in bar. Worth getting? Yes, I think so.

What did I like/dislike about the product? It's a well made product that does the job well. It inflates the tyres of my car from flat to full(30) in about 3-4 minutes. You can hear the compressor when it is running however, it is not very loud to create nuisance to people around. Having tested the inflation readings they do appear to be very accurate, and the pump makes it a quick and easy job to optimise tire air pressures every couple of weeks. The storage system for the cable is ok, but it could be designed better. It is easy to store in the boot and takes very little space.I have faced an issue with the compressor after 3 months of use. The LED display has gone wonky.Which means it shows reading but not the way it should. An 8 might look like a C and a 9 might look like a 7. Missing bits in the display. I'm trying to find out if this can be corrected with use of a battery. I'll write an update if I can correct the problem. Why did I choose the rating? It would have been five but because of the display issue and the storage system being a bit fiddly I chose to give it a 4Who would I recommend the product to?It would be a useful addition to any boot.

In the past I could never understand why people bought relatively cheap electric compressors for car tyres and always favoured old fashioned foot pumps. This all changed when the gauge on my 20 year old footpump failed and I bought a Michelin footpump for around £20 which failed quickly (as did the replacement). As I was struggling to find a decent quality footpump I decided to put my prejudice aside and try this pump and I'm really pleased with it. The exterior construction is plastic and probably wouldn't survive a fall onto concrete but it's good enough and has performed well on a number of occasions for inflating car/bike tyres and footballs. It's a little noisy in operation but it quickly gets the job done so it's not really an issue. The power cord is plenty long enough to reach front and back tyres on one side of my Mondeo before switching to the other side and the compressor switches off when the required pressure is reached. I don't expect that this will still be working in 20 years but it is none the less a good bit of kit to keep in the boot of the car.

Great machine to be able to use at home at your convenience and without a queue of cars behind you. I dislike using the ones at petrol stations as often the length of the pump isn't quite long enough to use comfortably, some charge for the pump and the queue behind you can be irritating. This machine is a great and cheap alternative, plus I can use it for all sorts of other things like footballs, etc. I also like that this has a light that makes it useful to see in the dark when checking your tyre pressure or can just be used as a general light. It's also very useful if you keep it in the car and ever find yourself stranded needing to pump up your tyres or need a light. The only downside ofthis machine is the brackets it has to keep in place the attachments like the needle to pump footballs aren't great and will not hold these in securely; consequently I've lost some of mine when using the machine. I'd advise taking these out and keeping them somewhere safe separately when you first get this machine.

Seeing as my old cheapo tyre compressor was on it's last legs it was time to look for another, reading the good reviews on here I opted for this one by Ring and have not been disappointed. This compressor is easy to use, basically plug it into you accessory socket or cigarette light as they used to be known, attach the compressor to the tyre valve, switch it on, set the pressure needed and away it goes, it stops once the correct pressure is reached. You can set the required pressure in PSI, bar or Kpa, this compressor is very quick compared to the other one I had and is not overly noisy. There is also an LED light that can be used as a torch or flash mode.Ring have supplied this compressor with adaptors for bike tyres and a ball needle,it also come with a bag for storage in the boot.Since this purchased I have bought another one of this compressor for my father, he also loves it.Why mess around at the garage (and pay for the privilege) when this simple and easy solution is available.

I chose this after reading reviews in a car magazine; it has done well over the past few years. This was backed up by reading other Amazon revews.I am so pleased with it because it is fast and accurate - I checked with my own pressure gauge.I like the way it screws on to the valve rather than one of those snap down fittings, the screw fitting gives a godd seal. The pressure display is easy to read and the +/- buttons let me increase or decrease the pressure easily. It is much quieter than the last electric compressor and it is so compact - they have packed so much in, in such a small package. And it is certainly good value for money ...I was contemplating spending 2 or 3 times as much and am so glad I didn't.The only downside is that the head is difficult to fit to my motorcycle tyres because there isn't much access with the small wheels as the valves sit right in the middle of the wheel unlike a car tyre/wheel.

Having got ordinary tyres instead of run flats on a 1 series BMW with sport suspension was the most comfortable thing I could do to this car. The firm suspension is worth it in tight corners but the runflats destroy what little organs you have left after driving on a bumpy road. So ordinary tyres it is. But alas! The alloys were not designed for normal tyres so they constantly seep air from time to time, but nothing major. This little handy pump has a cutoff feature that automatically turns off the pump when a certain, pre selectable, pressure is reached. Handy red or white light with flashing function but seems a bit dim in the light, not really tested it in the dark. Well designed, yet very simple cable tidying solution and rubber feet give this device a clean profile whilst packed away in it's square Cordura case. Recommend.

To my dismay I found that the screw stem connector did not fit the tyre valves on my year old Vauxhall Astra. It did however fit my 9 year old Seat and my neighbour's Merc. I asked Vauxhall about this but they could give no explanation and my local tyre fitters agreed there was a problem on the Astra but said that as far as they know all valves are the same! I also contacted Ring who said they had had no similar complaints but very kindly sent me a complimentary clip-on connector which I have bodged onto the compressor hose. Many thanks for that.Apart from that it seems to be OK but I have only used it once to date.If you have an Astra same age as mine perhaps you should go for a model withouta screw stem connector.

This is a good product well built and designed, however i guess it will have to be given to someone else has a present, as i initially did buy it as present for someone but they cant use it due to their motorbike having no cig lighter so will give this to someone else who has a car, i could send back but as it is a good product better to keep it and give it to someone than the hassle of sending back. this product could do with a lead to mains supply and/or built in rechargeable battery pack but that hopefully will be something the product design team will look into in future models(hopefully) again amazon prime service was good, fast with frustration free pacjaking making recycling easier.

I used this product a handful of times and I am impressed so far. It has all the bells and whistles you need, but by far the most comfortable one is the function that when it reaches the point you need to inflate the tire to - it stops automatically! Just beware that the included electronic gauge is there "just for a reference" only and shouldn't be trusted as pointed out in the product manual, if I'm not mistaken. Granted, if you just need to equalize the pressure in all tires it will does the jobs perfectly well, however I am pumping up the tires a bit more and then using a Michelin Gauge to recheck the pressure and make it right.

Purchased because of AutoExpress reviews - the series of Ring Compressors always shows strongly. Unfortunately, the one I received had no instructions and, although I figured I probably didn't need any because it must be pretty straightforward to blow up a tyre - it wasn't. Settings have to be held for a few seconds etc etc. I called Ring (UK helpdesk - falls over in ecstatic amazement.. ;-) )and they were extremely helpful. They could mail me instructions or I could download from address given, which I did.Product works very well and meets my expectations.

I needed a compact and easy to use unit. Firstly the readout is clear and the pressure readings accurate when checked with a hand pressure gauge. The time to inflate is very good indeed and the cut off stops at exactly the figure asked for. The connector is well thought thru in as much that it is a direct "straight" screw on connection not the ususal fiddly angled versions with a difficult snap lock. Storage for cables etc is very neat and the zip case finishes the job,Does what it says on the box, as expected from Ring, well done,John H

I have only used it once since purchase. No instructions in the pack, but fairly easy to work out how to use it.Very easy to attach to the valve securely with the screw thread. Easy to raise the tyre pressures to the required settings. I checked these afterwards with an independent pressure gauge and they were spot on. I have not as yet worked out how to preset the pressures on the compressor, but I'm sure I will do perhaps next time I use it. Hopefully this little machine will last longer than the cheaper one I used previously.

Received today - 2 days early - used on my car already - quick and efficient and packs away very neatly into a smart storage bag. Checked pressure against a pencil guage, which I reckon are the most reliable, and both gave identical readings. I also like the screw on valve - really know it is fixed on when it is working - smaller than I thought, and will tuck away nicely in the boot - very happy with purchase - £19.19 delivered free - I think Halfords are charging over £30.00 for the same thing
