This pump is cheap. Cheaper than most footpumps! How is that possible? Well, it feels a little cheap. I wouldn't recommend dropping it too often. It has no additional features but does what it says on the tin.The screw-on connector is a mixed blessing. It seals well every time, but is a little Fiddly to get on and, more importantly off, the valve. It really needs two hands. Once screwed onto the valve it makes for a good connection. When unscrewing it, you need to be quick so as not to lose too much air. Again, use two hand which makes for a slightly awkward process. Once you get the knack though it works well enough.I tried the pump on one car tyre that was reading 25 and was inflated to634 in about 30 seconds.Excellent. Next it was the turn of the old lawn tractor. Both rear tyres were showing less than 10 psi and both inflated to 20 in a few seconds. Excellent again. The front wheels are tiny, about 4 inches in diameter. Consequently the tyres arealso miniscule. When the pump was connected it read 60psi! Not true. When I switched the pumpon it then read the correct pressures of about 10 to 12psi. Once the gauge read the correct 20psi the pump was disconnected. I checked the pressure with a separate gauge and they were both correct. I am guessing that the valves are sticky or dirty.Anyway, if you want to pump up tyres quickly and with little effort, this pump will do. There are no fancy add-ons. Definitely cheap and cheerful. Godd little bit of kit.

I bought this out of desperation as really I just wanted a simple foot pump. Sadly it seems impossible to buy one nowadays that will last very long. The last foot pump I bought was supposed to be the best on the market but again failed after a short time due to the 'monkey' metal of its construction. They just are not up to the job any more. I had this Ring Compressor unopened in its box for about a month before having to use it one day finding a slow puncture. I found it very easy to use and the the cable and hose lengths are adequate. Its fairly easy to stow away again and keep tidy in its box for next use. It has a gauge to check you have put the right pressure in your tyre.It seems fairly accurate but I always prefer to check again with a separate tyre pressure gauge. As it's fairly light it now lives in the boot of my car. It really is effortless to use. Much less hard work than operating a foot pump. I am sold on the idea of a Compressor now and won't be wasting time and money on foot pumps anymore. It has been used several times already now and while possibly no quicker to use than a foot pump it certainly is a worthwhile accessory to carry around. How long will it last though before giving out just when I need it. Only time will tell.

I presume "analogue" simply means that this device has a dial whereas the more expensive "digital" version has a display with numbers on - if that's the case, I'm glad I picked the cheaper one. I was ashamed of myself when I came to check my tyre pressure and found that one tyre was at 18psi when it should have been at 31 - but this little compressor corrected that within a minute or two. I found it no more noisy than any others I've heard up and down my street and I like the way the cable and hose can be stowed within its (small) body, making it easy to carry around permanently. The cable could have been longer - I could just about get it to reach all four tyres from the one lighter socket but it was pretty tight. My only grumble is that the instruction leaflet essentially warns you not to rely on the built in dial but rather to check the pressure using an "independent" gauge - so what's the point of including it? Maybe I should have stumped up the cash for the "digital" model but then it probably has the same warning...Overall, ideal for the purpose of topping up domestic car tyres - as long as you double check with a tyre gauge.

Nice and simple to use and from what I can tell, it's pretty accurate. We woke up to a flat tyre and annoyingly had our MOT due with 2 days to go. This was on offer and we went for it. Thankfully the puncture was slow enough to enable us to get the tyre fixed locally (Less than 1 mile away)So for me, this was a life saver. If you have more to spend on something more substantial then do it. for the price range this is still pretty good value for money. I just feel a digital alternative would be more accurate when it comes to readying, as the needle wobbles like jelly on a jetski while it's on. It does get the job done and we don't plan on upgrading any time soon.Build quality wise,it's light and a little flimsy feeling. That said it's not let us down or failed in anyway at all. We keep it in the boot as it's not huge and will likely be a saving grace again at some point. I'd advise all car owners to have something like this in the motor at all time, along with the usual kit.

I do not like using the machines they have at garages to check my tyre pressures+so three months ago bought a tyre pressure gauge for £6 and this pump for £11 ,with a new found resolve to improve my car maintainence.I find that over time the tyres gradually lose air +become under inflated, which can lead to all sorts of bad consequences .This machine is compact, easy to store, very easy to use, seems sturdily made, and does the job very well. Also the built in gauge seems reasonably accurate but I also double check after inflation with the other tyre pressure gauge.A very good point about it is that there is a screw -on connector onto the tyre valve which gives a very positive connection so youdont have to worry about escaping air.The only slight niggle I have is that the connection into the car cigar lighter is a little loose and needs pushing back in when you move the machine round which is why I have only given it 4 stars +not 5.Overall I am very pleased with this purchase.

Bearing in mind, I have only used this once, it is surprisingly impressive. The plastics aren’t particularly solid, but the simple design is really good. The hose, cable and adapters all have their own retainers within the body of the pump, making it neat to carry around, the base has rubber feet to keep it steady on the floor and the speed of this pump surprised me. I pumped up a tyre on my Honda Accord, from 12psi (yeah, I know, I think my alloy may be leaking somewhat!) to 32 psi in 4 minutes, which is very good for the size of this item. The motor is pretty noise, probably due to the fact that it’s fairly powerful. At the price, this is a steal, I’d be surprised if any other product would beat this for the price.I bought one back in 2004 and it was heavy, large and most of all, rubbish. This is a bargain, I just hope it lasts. Many petrol stations now charge 50p a throw to pump up tyres, this should save a few bob over time.

If your looking for a good value pump that works well then go no further, I have a Vectra estate and power cable from the lighter plug reaches all the wheels with cable to spare, the tyre connector is the screw type and reaches my 16 inch wheels with the pump on the floor even when the valve is at the top of the wheel as I have had pumps in the past that have hanging by the tyre valve in this situation. trust me I've done the full market surveys and this is the best of the analog type on the market for the money so why pay more ? the only minor letdown I have found was that the analog gauge on my pump was 2 psi higher than the actual reading from my digital gauge however I have found manygarages with larger variations that are charging you from 20p to a pound on motorway services for a few minuets air and that is if you can find one working, I would recommend you purchase I digital tyre pressure gauge for accuracy.

After my previous electric inflater packed in on me after only 6 months or so I decided to have a look at some of the more expensive models one of which was a Michelin for around the £40 mark, however after reading the reviews I opted for this ring model which was over £25 cheaper and how very pleased iam too. It does exactly what it's supposed to do, the tyre valve connector is a screw on type which is a lot better than most of the push on lever types. It inflates pretty quickly too, I had found that one of my caravan tyres was down to 32psi when it should have been 54 psi I therefore inflated it to the said recommended pressure which took around 4 minutes. The 12 v cable is long enough and the unit is also small and compact, the pressure gauge is pretty damn accurate too which really surprised me. All in all I'm very pleased indeed with this little beauty and can Highley recommend.

Supermarket filling station raised price of air pump from 20p per 5 minutes to 20p for 2 minutes- not enough to check spare as well. To add insult to injury, tyre pressure checked with top quality clock gauge showed forecourt gauge over 10% inaccurate. Sent for Ring Automotive RAC610 with clock gauge which I suspect more accurate than digital control and used immediately.I am thoroughly delighted with its performance. It is neat, compact and runs relatively quietly. It inflated my underinflated tyres by about 10% in about 15 seconds each and although the clock gauge is fairly small it is very easy to read the pressure which clearly indicated.I did not award it 5 stars only because I felt thescrew valve attachment was a bit fiddly although perfectly efficient once attached and I feel that the electric flex might not be robust enough to last as long as the compressor.

Does the job perfectly, and it comes in a very small box, that doesn't take too much space in the trunk. It has a very long wire (3 m), but it rolls around the compressor and has a nice strap to keep it all together.Very easy to use, I showed to my uncle, who works at a tire shop, and he asked me to get one to himself as well. Up until now, a real bargain...It also has a needle adapter so I can pump all my football balls right at the field whenever they're deflated, so it's pretty much an all-around compressor...My uncle had a spare tire in an iron rim, completely deflated, and it tokk about 2 o 3 minutes to take it up to 35 psi... the rim was off the car (no additional weight on the tire),but it gives you an idea of how functional this little device can be...Very very handy...

i really recommend this little fella .... i noted some peoples comments about the gauge not being accurate .. i have found that it is .. although i checked it against a "proper" garage air pump and i need to go two pounds higher on this one (ie 38 on this pump is the same as 36 on the forecourt pump) ... so, so long as i know that then it is easy.easy to use. effective in inflating the tyres and just makes a pre journey check easy to do (have i turned into a nurd?) plus as i have a sports car and no spare, just a can of foam in the event of a puncture, this is a really reassuring to have.and i had forgotten i had one (different model) ... that i had stopped using because it was so noisy and slow ...this is much smaller, relatively quiet and effective.

The item was well packed and arrived in an Amazon outer box with the Pumps own box inside, it arrived on time and in immaculate condition. The item itself was of reasonable quality, it was sturdy enough but just seemed to lack its finishing touch. On the underneath of the pump there is a circular disk where the wires wrap around, this works well to save the wires getting knotted but does seem to get in the way when placing the pump on the floor, it also takes away some of the balance and sturdiness of the item. The pump in action works well and does, as it says, pumps a Tyre up rather quickly, the valve connectors work and fit well and the 12v plug fits securely.Overall I give this product 9/10.

I must admit that I only bought this device for pumping up my push bike tyres which it is ideal for. Simple to connect to the tyre with a screw on end which makes a good seal. Push the button to start the pump and the little thing shakes and rattles into life. The built in pressure gauge is basic but gives agood indication of the tyre pressure and the ongoing inflation. Not that powerful, but does the job well. I keep one in my car in case of emergencies, but would guess it would take quite a long time to fill a car tyre. But, hey ho it could be quicker than waiting for a recovery van! Bought another one for an ex so she doesn't have an excuse to keep calling me to do her tyres.....

I have had quite a few 12 volt tyre inflators over the years, but most of them take an age just to put a couple of pounds in a tyre. I also have a touring caravan which requires 45lbs in the tyres, and all the other inflators I have had really struggle to get to that pressure. So after reading the reviews on this little unit I decided to go for it one last time, glad I did. It works brilliantly and inflates very quickly, and when used on the caravan you do not get that slowing down to a struggle sound.A brilliant little unit and well worth the money.Oh, and the pressure guage is not very far away from accurate either.

Works very well, the gauge is accurate enough, I always check it against my digital one and its pretty much spot on. These things always make noise, but this this is less noisy than my last one, so that's nice. The only reason i'm taking a star off is because of the screw on connector, although it makes a nice solid connection, you have to be as quick as you can to unscrew it or you lose air. It's impossible not to lose a little bit, but you gotta be quick otherwise you'll be topping it up to the correct pressure again. The lever type would be better to avoid this, but it's something you can get used to easy enough.
