Love these glasses. We used them as our everday drinking glasses and they work well for both reds and whites. The bowl is a great size for swirling, and the glasses really have a great feel to them. I like the fact that the stem isn't too long. I find that lots of restaurants and such have gone with really long stems, and for some reason, I just don't like them, so the stems on these are great.Haven't used the decanter that much yet, however I know when we have more friends over, the decanter will be nice to have. When we have used it, it was fine. We went with this because we got the decanter and six glasses which will suit our needs most often. If we want to extend our set,

I did some research on these glasses before deciding to purchase them. The Riedel company has an outstanding reputation for creating elegant glassware which brings out the best in specific spirits. The shapes and designs vary according the type of wine or alcohol. They definitely have a winner with their bourbon glasses. After receiving the glasses, I invited some friends to do a little taste test, having them sample bourbon from a variety of glasses. Without exception the clear winner was the Riedel bourbon glass. The taste enhancement was exceptional. These glasses would make a great gift and conversation piece for anyone with a pallet for Kentucky's finest! -WRK

This was a gift and was well received. Exactly what they were looking for. Will add on to their collection. Was surprised to find that if I had bought 2 sets of 2 glasses, it would have been cheaper than buying the set of 4. Does not make sense.

Anyone who's familiar with Riedel's Ouverture range will know what to expect - nice "everyday" glasses that are of a versatile size and shape. Just don't expect much finesse compared to Riedel's nicer glasses.

Nice to have Riedel glassware which fits in the dishwasher. I like the shorter stems for a change. Have not really used the Apple Decanter. Pouring from it was not the easiest thing to do.

Very nice glasses. These were rated number 1 for best overall wine glass . I like the fact that the stem is a little shorter than most, as it makes the glass much more stable.
