The glasses are very thin and fragile, but that’s what the design is all about. The shape is beautiful and looks perfect with wine in it. My problem was the packaging. There was only cardboard separating the glasses and no indication on the outside that the package was fragile, so one was broken into pieces. With the current COVID-19 problem and me being on the extremely vulnerable list, I’m unwilling to put myself at risk by returning the item (and posting a parcel with hundreds of small glass fragments? That’s just dangerous). So, I’ll live with only having 3/4 of the glasses.

These glasses manage to be stylish and robust, and at a reasonable price. My only reservation (and I hope the suppliers read these reviews) is that I received 2 packages of these glasses, both without any wrapping around the glasses themselves, i.e. the glasses were rattling round inside the boxes. Given that there was no indication on the outside of the Amazon box that the contents might be fragile, it wasn't surprising that one of the packages arrived containing a broken glass and had to be returned. A bit of tissue paper or bubble wrap would have avoided this.

Villeroy know how to make good quality product, they just need to improve the safety of packaging. Ours arrived good but it's not secured so much, so won't be surprised if some of them get broken on the way.However, the wine glasses are beautiful, perfect for red wine, comfortable in a hand and just the right size.Same for water glass, we were looking for such a shape of glasses and these fit perfect. They look very elegant an yet good for daily life use. Perfect for soft drinks and water. Highly recommendable both of them.

Thin, lightweight crystal glasses. The actual product looks quite different to the one in the picture (I believe the picture is of the matching white wine glass which I also own). Excellent value for the money. Some have claimed that these break easily, but I haven't broken any glasses from this range and I have 12 Ovid range glasses. But these are delicate, so if you prefer a more utilitarian glass that you may throw against a wall - or whatever people do with with their glasses - these are less than optimal for that.

Packaging sub standard as per other reviews, but turned up fine and no breakages. (Depends how much they are thrown around in the delivery process I guess)They are loose in a fairly thin box with dividers, so fine if buying in a shop, but not really geared up for online deliveries.Great glasses though and look good and apear good quality. Tulip design and purchased to match their big brother red wine glasses that we also have. I would like them to be slightly bigger, but that’s probably just me being greedy!!

These Villeroy and Boch Red Wine Glasses are good value for money and I like the shape/size a lot. The slight downside is that they don't feel very sturdy mainly due to the thin glass/stem but I suppose if they were thick and chunkier they wouldn't be fine wine glasses. Careful handling is a must and, although I was lucky, and all mine arrived in perfect condition I think the manufacturer's packaging could be more protective. Overall, lovely glasses which offer value for money from a quality brand.

Being asked to rate these for durability is like being asked to taste the pork in beef... they arent going to be durable as its a proper wine glass. They are a proper, elegant wineglass and absolutely incredible - as an experienced wine taster these are by far the best budget glasses for larger events and tastings that I have ever used. Thanks very much! Bring out the flavours and aroma in wines nearly as good some of the glasses I have paid upwards of £100 for. Will recommend and use again

Typical Villeroy and Boch quality. Came very well packaged. I bought these for my girlfriend to replace a glass that I broke, leaving her with a much depleted set. The only issue, if it is an issue at all, is that with these being wider at the top of the stem than more traditionally shaped flutes, they hold more. Me now get fewer glasses per bottle, but since it’s normally me who takes the trip to the kitchen to refill them, I’m okay with this?.

I bought these glasses as a Christmas present. I had been wanting to get them for a while now - as I had smashed my partners ones ha! They are sooo worth the money, and it’s exactly what it says on the tin. Great glasses, really recommend. And they came (next day delivery - great by the way) in a big box full of padding with the wine box. Great way to keep it protected with delivery. Really recommend, Amazon you did good!!! As always x

Great glass quality. The shape of the red wine glass is different from what is shown on this pic...in fact it is more the right shape for red wine. More open at the base and then narrows in at the top. It looks like they put up the white wine glasses photo for the red wine glasses. The photo I am uploading shows the red wine glass, the champagne glass and the white wine glass from left to right. Highly recommended.

Amazing wine glasses. Desperately needed some new glasses as the ones I have all broke during lockdown so was having to use red wine glasses for white wine (resulting in my drinking about 4 litres of wine a night...!). Would not buy from Amazon as they don’t deliver and then say they have.. But the glasses are good.

Bought a couple of sets during a prime sale, beautiful built glasses, have a lovely premium feel to them. Although delicate (we have already broken 2) since buying these we now struggle to drink wine from another other glass. A lovely touch to anyone who has an appreciation for fine wine. Highly recommended.

These glasses are a great size, not too small or tall. Some stems are too tall and thin, whereas these glasses have a shorter and slightly fatter stem which means that they are more stable and less fragile. The shape is great too if you like to swirl your wine around the glass.

These glasses look elegant, have a bit of weight to them without detracting from the delicacy of the shape. Wash up clear and so far do not seem too prone to damage. Nice open top without you feeling like you're drinking from a fishbowl. I'm delighted with them.

I personally love it but whoever drinks in this (friends, family, guests) all say the same thing - It feels so thin and lightweight as if it's gonna break right away. It's more of an accessory used occasionally rather than everyday glasses in my view.
