Its always intrigued me that most of my French friends seem to drink wine out of tumblers rather that 'wine glasses'. Indeed, 'wine glasses' have always struck me as being poorly designed in that the long stem raises the centre of gravity thus making them inherently unstable. These tumblers are a welcome change for that reason-the stem has been done away with and so they are more stable and less likely to be knocked over by a tipsy drinker or an affectionate cat! I don't quite see the point of having a particular shape for certain grape varieties (a marketing ploy I suspect) I'm just going to buy the shape I like most and drink all my wine from it.

Very thin, chic glasses! I have two sizes of the stemless and these are my fav Riedel glasses. I thought I would try another brand stem glass and um no..had to go back to the Riedel immediately..not sure what it is or why I like the thinness of the glass it's simply better. Yes be careful, you can easily chip or break these.i know I will be .Looking for some Riedel stem glasses very soon.ver nice indee

Probably the nicest pair of wine glasses I have ever bought. At first, they do seem awfully delicate (especially when washing up) but I think this lends to the quality of the fine crystal. Having shopped around for stemless glasses, I found this "O" range to fit comfortably in my hand, and the glass wide enough to stick my nose in and enjoy what tipple I've got on there. Highly recommend.

I have the stemmed versions but liked the idea of a stemless glass and, having had them for a few months, find myself using these over the traditional ones. They a lovely to drink from, like the stemmed glasses, but are a bit more practical in that they seem less prone to breaking (these glasses are delicate) and seem to suit everyday use a bit more

I love these glasses and don't use my stemmed glasses at all any more. They are relaxing to hold, nice and fine to drink from and perfect to curl up on the couch with. The best features of being stemless is that 1. I find I don't knock over my glass when it doesn't have a stem and 2. they fit in my dishwasher. The perfect wine glass.

Love these glasses. I am very prone to knocking over stemmed wine glasses so bought these with an Amazon voucher I had. They are exactly like wine glasses but without the stem! This glass but not fragile; I was them in the dishwasher. Great for wine but for all cold drinks. Highly recommended.

Used these glasses for ages. Sadly my husband keeps breaking them.As they're so good I always feel the need to replace them. not found a better replacement for wine yet.Do feel they're expensive ,however they've spoilt us for any substitute .

I already have one Riedel glass - its twin got broken and I loved the quality so much I decided to buy two new ones. They are fab! If you're nervous of really thin glass they may not be for you but for wine lovers they are the business.

These are really amazing glasses. I got 2 sets of these and a set of other standard glasses. They were terrible, these are great.slightly terrified that they will break as there is no thickness at all but the standard is very high.

I love Reidel glasses and break about one a month because of enthusiastic hand jestures and kids with dishwashers. These do the job and we are casualty free so far. Also they are cheaper to smash when the inevitable happens.

Clean, bright and elegant. Very beautiful pieces. I can't help using it every time I can, even for drinking water :PI have bought Riedel Ouverture before. They are also beautiful. They have different feeling with a stems.

I'm going to get wine drunk 24/7/365 with these bad boys. They look great, they're easy to hold and the wine flows like the raging torrents of the Amazon as I pour it into my gullet.

Arrived quickly in the post really lovely set of wine glasses, very sophisticated. Really good price as well. These are a Christmas gift. I'm positive they won't be returned.

These glasses make even ordinary red wine taste special, due to their ultra-sheerness. I would recommend hand washing, although they are reasonably robust.

I love these glasses. Tough and durable and great for wine.The price is good as well.Great for sitting in front of the TV with a glass of red.
