I just got the platinum trophy for this game, so hear are my thoughts after finishing.I played this game for 2 weeks straight and logged over 100 hours, and I enjoyed most of the experience. The combat is simplistic, yet fun sense each class has their own skill set. My favorite was sword warrior but I tried out all the other classes and each was fun to play and served their own purpose. The ACE skills really add a lot to the experience and made combat a very enjoyable experience.The only thing I did not like were the halomonas weapons. The ones from the first questline are fine, but it really gets ridiculous in the ACE quests. Basically these are weapons where you fulfill requirements like collecting,killing monster or doing missions in order to increase the stats of the weapons.The ones you get in the ACE questline have absurdly time consuming requirements, some ever taking up to 2-3 hours to complete. They really should have toned those down, but this is a minor complaint.The multiplayer can also get really buggy, I encountered multiplayer glitches a lot and got kicked out of a lot of games. When it did work, it was a very fun experience but it seems everyone in the party needs to have a perfect connection for it not to lag like crazy.The story is nonexistent and sort of gets in the way sometimes, It is very generic and boring and you will lose nothing by skipping it. I wish there was a better story but the combat more than makes up for it.The music is great, especially sense they took the best songs from Ragnarok Online and put them in the game. I LOVE the ragnarok online soundtrack so this made me really happy.Overall it was a fun game, it can get pretty grindy sometimes but that is expected in this genre. Anyone who likes hunting games or Ragnarok Online will find themselves right at home in this game. This was my first hunting game, and I really enjoyed this experience and will definitely go pick up Soul Sacrifice and Toukiden next.

I personally wanted to buy Ragnarok Odyssey, but then I saw this available on Pre-Order.I did my research and it seemed that this is just like an expansion, so I waited and waited even after the 2 month delay.So it finally arrived after about 4 months of wait!The game play is something i enjoy, although it isn't exactly an open world, I love dungeon grinding and boss hunting.The control is a bit awkward though. I guess I'll have to get used to it, but it just feels a bit stiff, not really smooth like other games similar to this.But for the most part, this is something you can enjoy either playing long time in one sitting or from time to time occasionally like waiting in line or sitting in a car,etc.I would write a full review, but I haven't even finished chapter 2 yet. As for chapter 1, it might feel a bit too easy, but you'll have to get used to the controls, so it will be a tutorial rather than chapter 1.I can say that if you are the type of a person who doesn't like reading, the conversation in the game will bore you. A LOT.You don't really have to know them though. If you missed something, you can just talk to them again and they will tell you the key points anyways.As for me though, I love reading these kind of things, whether they are important or not. Sometimes they have humor, sometimes they give you quite useful info as well.one thing I really like about this game is that there are 4 different control set-ups, so you can change it to which ever makes you feel comfortable. the thing is, it's not customize-able like most games... I kinda don't like the aiming keys.

For me my favorite Vita games lately have been the pickup and play in short bursts games - family life with young kids pretty much limits my game time right now. Ragnarok Odyssey ACE turned out to be a perfect fit in this category. I didn't do enough research to see that's there's no leveling or xp gain which had the first chapter feel repetitive; but as I got deeper I started to get a feel for the game and see some depth with the customization, itemization and upgrades. One of my favorite features right now has been the class swaps with your existing character - pretty nice being able to change it up now and again. I'm really enjoying the hub->bounty->fight->hub rinse and repeat design because I can pick this up and play during my short windows of opportunity.Having never played the first release I decided to wait for ACE to get all of the bonus content and it seems like the right call - in my opinion worth the extra cost if you're new to the game like I was.Also make sure to take a look at the Sony Entertainment Network Store - they have been rotating in lots of free items, sets, music tracks and bonus quests you can download.

Xseed truly improved the game's experience with ACE and I'm really glad I decided to check it out. The game plays a lot more smoothly and has a lot of new features that really enhance the game's overall experience.-1 Star: I had no idea that in order to transfer my save over I would need to "Backup" my data using the ORIGINAL game and then "Restore" it on the new one. So when I first received RO ACE, I had to run out and re-purchase the first game so that I could move my cards and stuff over from the first game. I know better now, but just a heads up to anyone who played the first game.

29.99 for a Launch Edition that comes with a Soundtrack it is a steal.I have tried Soul Sacrifice, Monster Hunter 3 U and God Eater Burst. Well aware with the monster hunting franchise....It a bit easy and a mindless grind at times.However the graphics, bosses and unique card system make it a interesting experiences. I love the Ragnarok series....played R Online and the PSP Rag tactics game. Also XSEED publishing it makes it a must buy.Surprisingly, it have heard it is better on the Vita than the PS3. The OLED Vita 1000 perfectly complements it's vibrant schemes.

Like a lot of others say, not really open world and the areas aren't much to explore, not too good of graphics but the game is still super fun and nice to play, a must have for Vita owners, love all the content and playing is a ball, may get a little repetitive at times so if grinding isn't your cup of tea, stay away.

It arrived when expected,appears to be in perfect working condition and it overall an amazing game! I can't think of anything I would dislike about it so far. I definitely recommend this game to EVERYONE... It's definitely worth it.

This is a greeeeat game for the vita, sure u can get this on ps3 but you cant take ur ps3 on the go ;) great gameplay and vibrant colors make this an excelent choice.
