We bought this as a christmas gift for our kids (9 and 7). We are very satisfied because- there's no chance involved.- it's quick. If you lose, you've only lost a few minutes, have another go!- it's complicated enough such that you adults can compete with kids or each other, and winning is satisfying- construction (board and pieces) is very solid.- it is probably easy to figure out / play a winning strategy every time - I've seen a partial discussion on the web - but for the moment I'm happy to blunder along trying to find, but not really knowing, the winning strategy.I think a travel version would be effective for kids on an airplane trip.

This game is simple in its rules yet can be quite complex in the strategies that can be employed to win.The product is well made durable and certainly a classic. One tip, the more interesting the person you play with the more fun the game. This is not like an arcade game where you can play with anyone and still have a good time.

Simple enough for young children to learn but complex enough that adults can get really into it playing other adults. It looks like a very simple game, but has a lot more layers to it than first appears. You need to keep playing it a lot with the same people to find out just how complicated it can get.

I bought this for my sister and she is pleased with it. It looks good (the chunky, bigger version) on the coffee table and she says it is handy for a quick game which won't take all night. Out of their family of 4, they had all won on different occasions, so it wasn't predictable.

I just recently learned this game, it only took 5 minutes. It's a great alternate to chess with kids or traveling, this is just a great game. The board and pieces are well-made, no complaints at all. I will definitely buy again.

Not often I will rave about a game but this is really good for all ages. Not a battery in sight. I wish I had gone for the 4 player game but may well buy that as well. Gets you thinking and on your toes.

Love, love, love this game! Was introduced to it in a hotel bar and ordered it as soon as I got home. Only downside is that it hurts my brain after a few games - you have to think very hard!

I already had the mini version of this game and bought this larger version as a present for my neice. It's a great game with lovely wooden pieces and board and fun for all ages.

I love this game, it's the best game you can buy for 2 players. The twist of having your opponent choose what piece you have to play makes the game really interesting.

Fantastic, great, awesome and tactical. 100% must buy, great for all and bought it for presents, Christmas coming soon buy it... you won't be disappointed

We enjoy playing this game. It’s easy to learn and good for 2 players. Involves thinking and strategy.A game doesn’t take much time.
