QNAP no longer supports direct streaming of Plex via the HDMI port to your TV so the quality of 4K will depend largely on your home network and the size of the UHD file. You can get around this by using a third party unsupported application library called QNAPClub but the versions Plex you can download are home-brew and inferior. My advice is don't waste your money on an HDMI port solely to use Plex as you will be disappointed.Drive noise suppression through the chassis is very poor. I can hear the drive chatter over a film when located in the same room.When configured with a dynamic IP address the NAS randomly lost internet connection, eventually diagnosed as a DNS error.
