My assistant's career is now at risk since I bought the AC9s.Being able to remotely control my Alien Bees has revolutionised my wedding shoots - so much so that I'm not sure I need an assistant anymore. [Who am I kidding - I still need someone to carry stuff........]Paired with a small family of PW Flex & Minis & AC3s, I was excited to see my modelling lights adjust to my commands, all from the comfort of the hotshoe and [whilst playing around] all from the other end of the street.The AC9 does what it says on the box - can't ask for more than that.Even more impressive was the fact that Amazon shipped halfway around the world and the AC9s were still only 1/2 of the price quoted by the local

Have you ever wasted precious time trying to get your Alien Bee powered up (or down) to a specific F stop? I have and it's maddening.Well not any more. I have added 2 AC9's to 2 FlexTT5's and put a Pocket Wizard AC3 on a MiniTT1 and now I can quickly (and easily) adjust either light in 1/3 of stop increments, up or down!! I can now do in seconds what used to take minutes (sometimes lots of minutes!), what a time saver. Yes the whole setup is a little pricey but I had the Flex's and Mini already so all I had to add were the 2 AC9's and the AC3.If you use Alien Bee's then you need to consider adding the AC9's to your setup.

Useful when it works I use the mini and flex system but they don't always fire. after a year now I use it sparingly on camera bounce flash is still more reliable. I've never used any other system but after so many other rave reviews for pocket wizards I bought these.

I am a wedding photographer and I needed a way to trigger my Alien Bees that I had set up in the corners of the reception as well as my on camera flash that i was using for fill. This worked perfectly. The reception photos turned out great!

The PocketWizard AC9 has proven to a great tool m in the studio. Connecting with AlienBee flash unit save a lot of time and movement. It adjust the light power or out flash as claim. Another great tool to have.

I am a photographer and I love using Pocketwizards to control my lighting. I recently decided to make the switch from Speedlights to Alien Bees and I am very happy with my decision!

I have Alien Bee lights and this little devise makes using my AB a real pleasure to work with. Increases, a little, my sync speed but still cannot go much above 1/500 sec.
