This is the second time I have hard wired a dash cam in and I purchased this kit for my daughters car a Renault Clio, loads of wires so it may look a bit daunting but a very simple process using the fuse piggy back wire (sorry don’t know the correct name).The whole process only took about 10 minutes as the Renault Clio has a very easy to access fuse box on the passenger side when you open the door, no soldering required just a case of using the fuse piggy back wire, crimping the red wire in the blue connector and there is a handy screw with a with a torx slot to unscrew and fix the ground wire behind then just tuck the power box behind the fuse box and secure it (I used some hot glue)

I recently bought this along with a toguard ce30 dashcam, didn’t fancy having trailing wires everywhere - I was a little overwhelmed when I opened the packet to see so many connections but soon realised the kit had you covered for just about any fuse connection the earth lead already has a connection on it and the positive has also been neatly stripped ready to take the fuse connection. Looks to be very good quality and certainly made the camera installation a lot neater with the added bonus of not having to remember to plug it in!!

Neat unit which worked with new dashcam but have decided not to use it until I can get the fuse link to fit the car fuse box. It does work with direct connection to battery but I did not want to have the dashcam continuously connected.For anyone interested in this unit there is plenty length in the cable connectors which will allow the unit to be concealed in the dashboard and up behind the door seal. There is a separate fuse in the red cable which allows for direct connection so that the dashcam is live if preferred.

Thanks to the dashcam I now drive 10x more carefully, because if I do get into an accident it's very likely that a recording of me screeching along to whatever rubbish is on the radio may be played before a jury of my peers in a court of law. I cannot allow this to happen.If anything, you really should mention that the kit mini blade fuses in the title, instead of in teeny tiny writing half way down the page. That seems like it'd be incredibly easy to gloss over.

I had to make a slight adjustment though. Fuse holder cable is much thinner in diameter than cable it needs to connect to which is why I think some people are having problems with a loose connection so I snipped the crimped connector off and used a screw down type connector block then wrapped block in electrical insulation tape for added protection.Can't comment on longevity of product yet as early days but has the making of a decent kit

This is a useful kit to wire in a dashcam, though I found the cable to be only just long enough, and I don't have a large car. I think an extra 50cm would have made all the difference. Also the fuse carrier supplied did not fit where I wanted to use it, so I had to order a replacement and use a different circuit in the meantime. It would have been better if they provided both sizes.

Just fitted to a VW Tiguan connecting a Garmin 55 dash cam. Worked fine. We used a 2W fuse instead of the provided large 10W fuse for the cam. We connected to fuse 40, a 20W fuse being used for the Cigarette lighter that is power on ignition. We had to cut off the small ground connector and replace it with a larger hoop connector to connect to a larger bolt attached to the chassis.

The hardwired kit is good quality and ideal for a Dash Cam. The main problem is with the description. To say it for a right angle micro USB is insufficient the owner needs to know if the lead goes up the screen or down. Hence I had send the R/H kit back and had to get a L/H angled lead hopefully with the wire going up the screen and under the trim..

For the price, a very cost-effective device and of good quality. My only observation is that the main cable from the transformer unit to the USB Mini plug is relatively short and only just made it to the required location. However, the cable is just a regular 12v 5A twin, so it can be extended using regular connectors if required.

Does the job, would have been nice if there were clear instructions about which fuse to use in which slot, but I figured it out (I hope). Would also be better if the wire was a bit thinner or flat where it goes across the top of the window, so I could be hidden a bit better. But other than that it does the job fine.

Good little kit. Not easy to install in my car but not all cars are same. Some might be a lot easier.Well made and you get everything you need although you will need a pair of pliers to crimp the connectors.I wrapped my connections in tin foil for shielding because there isn't a ferrite suppressor on the wiring.

Seems fairly well made as far as cables go. The add-a-fuse section must be crimped to the wire, so make sure you have a crimp tool! (I had to go buy one)Other than needing a crimp tool to install this product, it works as expected. Now my 12v plug is freed up & I have a parking mode for my dashcam!

Installed on a Kuga by hijacking one of the ignition fuses. Nice and log so goes all the way to the mirror without having to worry about transformer placement until near the fusebox. Nice grounding fitting for a secure connection and works perfectly. For the price and with prime delivery very happy!

Very east to fit, the Viofo 119s uses a mini usb so I got the version with the piggy back fuse to make fitting without soldering. When ordering just make sure you get the right usb for your device. The best thing is no unsightly cables to the aux plug, Super fast post recommended
