This set of mini ballpoint pens comes in a pack of eight in good variety of colors - black, green, "regular" blue, light/sky blue, pink, purple, red, and orange. As you can see in the "comparison" photo where I tested the pens, the colors are pretty vibrant and easy to read, except for the pink and orange, which are a little light (but not terrible).I compared them to a full-size black pentel pen; I was surprised that the mini ink was a bit darker, so a bit easier to read. With the lid on, the mini pen is almost as long as a regular size, so you probably won't get hand fatigue when using one.These minis have one advantage over regular pens - the lids have a hole in them so you can put a keyring on them,

The size of these pens has been perfect for my needs. I have both a zippered notebook and a small zippered wallet and the pens fit inside with ease. The range of colors is not particularly helpful to me personally as I would have preferred mostly just blue and black, but I understand others might want the other colors.The ink flows smoothly enough, but I do believe if it were cold enough these pens will not function well at all.A few comments about some of the negatives mentioned in other reviews:Right in the title, these are "mini" pens. If you don't want a mini pen (shorter than a regular pen) look elsewhere.The plastic arms on the side of the pen that hold the pen in your shirt pocket or other location are a little brittle.

I like these a lot they are easy to keep with you in your pocket or pocketbook, and don't look like a huge anchor if you use the hole to attach them to your car keys using the included ring. PENTEL is famous for drafting instruments (mechanical pencils) and other writing implements, their quality is very good, and at about a dollar each these a a fair bargain. You can get throw-a-ways and cheaper pens, but they mostly will not be as good and often fail to write when needed. For note takers, the many colors allow a lot of things from nice highlights for important notes, to bold red to mark mistakes. For those who draw circuits, maps, diagrams using colored lines to distinguish between routes,

I was looking for a pen that I could carry in my pocket at all times to jot down quick notes. I bought a Fisher Space Pen for $17 which was a beautiful pen except that it is incredibly slippery. It somehow slipped out of my pocket in the movie theater and there went $17. Therefore I was looking for a cheaper alternative and I ended up buying some mini gel pens from Staples. That was a huge mistake as the gel started leaking all over my pants. Then I started looking around Amazon and thought I would give these pens a try since I liked the full size RSVP pens anyways. After having carried it around for about 3 weeks, I can say this is the best portable pen that fits in my front pant pocket.

I was curious about the 'mini' in the PENTEL Med 8/Pkg -RSVP Mini Ballpt Pen Ballpoint Pen and the pens are smaller than the standard, but I kind of like the size. I'm already partial to this pen in its regular size. It is a colorful set and while the orange pen is always the problematic one in a set, there are others that make up for it. By problematic, the orange always seems a bit too light for what I need in a pen but that's a personal preference.As noted, I rather like the size as it is easy to fit in my pen and paper pad pouch that I keep in my purse. The pens writes well which is the main thing.

We found a limited number of these neat Pentel mini pens locally, so I ordered my next set online. As an elementary school teacher I am constantly in need of a pen. These mini pens have a key ring top, so I can hang it on the lanyard next to my badge. So handy!My only negative comment is that I'd like to be able to buy a set of black-ink only pens, since many of the forms I have to sign must be in black or blue ink. I e-mailed the company my concern several months ago, but have not heard anything back - not even an acknowledgment of my correspondence. :-(Even though they are small, the ink lasts a good 4 months of daily use.

Cute little pens - they are only 4.5" with the cap on and exactly 4" without. Great for portability, and a little short for writing - but still usable. My daughter loves them and has taken all but the red and the black which I insisted to keep for myself.A nice rainbow assortment of bold colors, and they write as smooth as any other RSVP ballpoint (which is very smooth). There is only one key-ring in the package, so you have to choose which color to attach to your bag or whatever. Frankly, the ring works but it makes the pen cap unwieldy and doesn't twist around very well. I wish they had a better clip - maybe a chain or something with a joint or hinge or twisty-doodad instead.

I've bought these twice. They are WELL-DESIGNED! The ink does not run/smear when my notepad gets wet in the rain!! Lot of other inks do. A split ring can go through the end of the cap, which is the reason I bought these-- they hang off the nylon, Office Depot company ID badge holder I wear all day long.... and the caps almost NEVER let the pen itself 'get away,' leaving you with an empty cap, but no pen. My $20.00 'space pen' that writes in the rain, upside down, etc, can't be worn on the badge holder, as the cap, which has a built in ring attachment, will let the pen slide out too easily, falling on the ground who knows where. NICE PRODUCT, PENTEL!!!! YAAAY for you!

These pens are a perfect on the go tool as an art teacher. My students love when I put little notes next to their work during class and having fun colors like these on hand has given the whole treat an even bigger bonus. I love that a pen half the size of a standard one makes them even easier to have on hand and accessible for simple pleasures like a color change. I used to have a pen where you could change colors with the push of a button, but they would constantly click back into the tube and definitely not worth the trouble. These also never gunk up so I don't have to deal with big ink splotches when I'm walking around the room and can't get to a towel easily.

Pentel has always made good quality products! These Mini Pens are great for throwing into a purse or backpack! Several fun colors! My daughter will often use the different colored pens in her day planner to note down different categories of information. Handy key ring that you can hang these pens on, and then clip them to a backpack or book bag. Since these are "Mini" pens, they are shorter, so I don't find that as comfortable to write with, but others may not be bothered by this. Four stars instead of five because I went to clip the pen onto a notebook, which it should easily do (I do this with many of the pens I have owned) and the clip snapped right off.

I have the eight-pack of pens. There’s a lot to like about these pens! They come with eight assorted ink colors. All of the caps have a hole at the top, so you can attach them to a key ring (or something else, as long as it will fit through the hole at the top). The set actually comes with one “ring”. These are “mini” pens, and not full-size, so they fit in small places. I will say that at the current price of over nine bucks, they are quite expensive for what they are. . . but. . . they are nice quality, and certainly much better than the super-cheap pens you can find. I also really like the rubber grip.

I'm really happy with this set of eight mini-pens. The ink color is the color of the pen, which is fun. The colors are nice and even the orange ink looks good and isn't too light. The pens write smoothly on a variety of paper textures.These pens are a little different than the typical pen because of the hole in the cap which allows it to be placed on a key ring. One key ring is included for convenience. The cap is fairly easy to slide onto the key ring. I think this is a clever idea which allows pens to be kept handy in your purse, key ring, or work ID badge lanyard. I'm happy with these pens.

These small, colorful ballpoint pens are great if you need something portable to write with. They are a bit stubby, and if you have large hands they may be a little challenging to write with. For the most part however, these are easy to use, smooth writing pens that you can hook onto a key chain or lanyard for use on the go. The body color matches the ink hue, so it is easy to pick one out for appropriate use. I currently have them stored in a small coffee mug, and it's simple to grab the one I need. I usually prefer using fine point pens but I bought those for their size and they don't disappoint at all. Upon receiving the pack I test all the pens and luckily they worked well. The ink in each pen including the pink and light blue is bright.I put keyring on one of the pens and carry it on my S-biner. I wish though they had a little triangle loop like the Sharpie mini markers have. Anyway, these pens are still wonderful and serve the purpose.

I'm a writer and a forgetful person, so I'm always wanting to have a pen and paper close by. I use post it notes and mini pens. I love the R.S.V.P. pens because they aren't clicky, they fit nicely in my pocket, and for faster acces, I put one on a ring on my belt loop. The colors are fun, the ballpoint writes very well, and it's a very sturdy pen. Also, if you run out of ink and don't want to use one of the color bodies, switching ink is easy.
