I approached this lens expecting it to be full of compromises but I was soon very surprised by how good it is.Its not a pro spec lens but the image quality across the range is very good bordering on excellent. (f5.6-f8 are its sweet spots)If you are after a single lens solution this one takes some beating, I suppose the only downside is its not waterproof but that is not the end of the world.This is an ideal walk around/holiday lens, that's what I bought it for and its not disappointed me at all.Build quality and finish are excellent, it feels better made than the 100-300mm mkii that I have and blows the 12-60mm kit lens in to the weeds.Overall all I can say is its good, very versatile,

This lens is expensive, but you get a very compact lens with a most useful range that will cover most of what you might want to photograph, without having to change lenses.I use this on my Panasonic G5, it's a good combination, of size/quality/weight and with the addition of the Panasonic 20mm f1.7 pancake lens ( for shooting in low light ) makes a great travelling camera outfit, that is capable of great pictures in most conditions.It's a good investment !

If you could only have one lens, you wouldn't be disappointed choosing this one. Good image quality and sharpness throughout the range. I was expecting it may struggle in low light, but no problem so far, even in candlelight. This lens is better than I was expecting and much better than the 12-50mm that came with the camera.

Nicely made lens with latest power OIS which works in tandem with my in body OIS on the G80. Smooth in use and good image quality. An excellent usable range makes it the perfect all round lens. It is only a fraction larger than the 12-60 std zoom. Recommended.

This lens covers a really useful range with more than acceptable quality. I leave it on my Panasonic GX7 as the default lens and only change it for less frequent shots eg very low light or distant wildlife.

Slightly larger, heavier and lesser zoom range than the Olympus 14-150mm competitor, but essential for the Panasonic G series because it has OIS, very much needed at the longer focal lengths.

I have the original version of this lens but updated to facilitate dual IS with my GX8. I am satisfied with the quality of the lens and it represents good value for money.

This has to be one of the best zoom lens available regardless of format and at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended for the 4/3 format cameras!

Excellent lens, smashing bit of kit, good all rounder, the one lens I reckons will stay on gx8 99% of time :-)

Arrived early and in very good condition. Makes the camera so much more usable with the wide zoom range.
