Tried to find a "Cheapo" lens for my Panasonic FZ38 but none available so had to buy the genuine article. Tried it on the camaera with a non-panasonic adaptor tube and it all worked fine; yet to get used to camera and into really close-up work but confident that this combination will do the job.On the other hand purchased a "Cheapo" telephoto lens and that was a real failure, centre spot was Ok but everything around the edge completely blurred. Fotunately purchased from UK supplier so got full refund not sure that would have been the case if the unit came direct from HK. Looks like I will have to save up for the real Panasonic (or Olympus) telephoto lens at mega-bucks expense.

More than makes up for the poor close up abilities for the FZ100 camera. You do have to buy the rather overpriced extension tube (let's face it its just a tube with a thread at each end).Great for extreme close up and quite ok in good light without a tripod.Loses 1 star because the instructions that come with it don't tell you that you have to change a setting on the camera menu to turn lens conversion on.

Excellent results and very well made product. Purchasing a 'step down' conversion ring for a few pounds allows you to screw it straight onto the camera lens when needed, avoiding having to purchase the expensive Panasonic tube adapter. However the Pan. tube IS essential for use with the Pan. tele-converter lens.

Great for getting in that little bit closer to flowers, insects etc. when taking macro shots/Of course you will also need the converter in order to attach it to your camera - make sure you have room in your camera bag for the converter/lens combo when you're not doing close-up work.

At the end of the day, this item is a Lumix filter. It's the right size, well-made, and it works. Pretty straightforward, really

A high quality lens, but a bit pricey, particularly since you need the adapter tube to fit it to the camera (another £20)

this lens is just the thing for keeping my camera from getting scratches on the Maine lens it does a grate job
