A good quality 'made in Japan' filter for my Lumix kit. It's supplied in a clear plastic case. In answer to another reviewer's query, the instructions for this filter state it's 'ND8' (i.e. the filter reduces the amount of light to approximately 1/8th, without affecting the colour balance), which I believe equates to about a 3 'f stop' reduction. May not be an item you'll use a lot, but when you face really bright conditions and can't get the depth of field or shutter speed you need for your shot, it'll come into it's own! A bit pricey but why compromise your results given the money you've spent on your camera & lens?

I find it odd that so many people are writing reviews of this item saying that its purpose is purely to protect the lens and that is why they have bought it. This is a neutral density filter and the purpose (as in the description) is to reduce bright light and glare entering the camera on sunny days. It is not simply to stop the lens getting scratched.I haven't bought one myself. I was considering buying one and was looking at reviews but my main reason for looking at ND filters was to reduce light.

High quality ND8 filter from Panasonic.Produces nice 'fluffy' waterfall pictures. I already have one of these filters in a smaller size for a different camera so had no hesitation in buying the 52mm version. Considering the quality & price compared to other filters this is excellent value. It does of course fit any brand of camera with a 52mm lens thread. Purewell Electrical were the best price on Amazon & delivered a well packed item very quickly.

I've recently been trying to capture some motion blur in water scenes but the conditions were too bright to use slower shutter speeds. After shopping around a little I found this filter and judging by the price and other reviews I bought it. Im very glad I did its a good filter and doesnt affect the colours in the photos whatsoever. Money well spent.

I bought this to protect the lens on my camera and it fits perfectly. It does not affect any lighting or colours when taking photos and i can attach my other filters to it so i never need to remove it. My only concerns are that the glass is slightly loose in its housing and it arrived with a few sticky marks on it but that was easily corrected.

Anyone with a camera with a high quality lens should fit it with one of these filters, or similar. It is all too easy to damage an unprotected lens surface, particularly when out filming wildlife. I have one of these for each of my lenses. It's much cheaper to replace a damaged filter than a damaged lens!

I have to agree with other users regarding the quality of cheap filters... Don't do it! It's a no-brainer. This filter cost twice as much as my el-cheapo ND but the results are TEN times better. Thanks for a decent product at a decent price with lightning delivery. Happy!

I bought this filter for my new Panasonic Lumix camera. I do tend to be a bit rough with my cameras, so always make sure the lens is protected before first use. This product does just that.
