I never really write reviews, because I usually buy things already extensively reviewed, but I was shopping for a half sized guitar to travel with, which had to be of good enough quality for playing in the street, though I had a tight budget, this fit the bill and I took a bit of a risk buying as I couldn't find any reviews! I let the aesthetics do the talking this time and it payed off!My first impressions upon receiving it was how little justice the picture does it, probably half because you can't smell pictures, and half because a lot of detail goes un-captured, the tuning pegs are a semi-opaque pearl colour, and very nicely engraved with what appears to be leaves, I love them! And the whole thing is in itself very clean cut and tidy, and what caught my eye was the bridge, not only does it look great but the two holes per string makes restringing that little bit easier- the part I most hate about playing guitar! I have already restrung it to tune to ADGcea (mostly GCgceg) as I play with ukuleles. With possibly all of my 'cheaper' instruments there is glue spilled a little somewhere, or a slightly rougher fret, or even a rough patch where the binding comes together, I have not yet noticed any flaws in the appearance or construction, something I don't usually see in this price range. But most importantly is playability and sound, the intonation sounds perfect to me up and down the fret board (someone with a highly trained ear may or may not be able to say otherwise), with no fret buzz anywhere and good low to medium action. I guess a combination of the spruce top and construction is what gives it such a bright sound, I play a few flamenco tunes and it sounds great. As I play in open tuning a lot, it's important to have lead notes stick out over the rhythm, and this instrument makes it so easy to tweak the dynamics that little bit. Another bonus with the sound is the pure nylon strings and the wound strings 'match', some cheaper classical instruments (maybe it's the strings but it's worth a mention still) have a slightly different sound between the two kinds of strings, sounding like a mismatched set of strings, but they blend in quite nicely with this instrument. I would love to say at least something negative, for a balanced review, but I can't at this price range, obviously there are much much better sounding guitars out there, but you can't expect the 'Big T' brand sounds out of this petite (in size and price!) little thing! The only other niggle I can make is the weight, I have never actually owned a half size, but it sure is heavier than I thought it would be, I assume it's down to the truss rod which is a bigger advantage than the disadvantage of weight will ever be. It also has rather narrow nut spacing, it's wider than a steel string/electric, but narrower than most classical's out there, including my Yamaha Guitalele. I assume it's because it was mostly designed for smaller players and it is also no problem with this instrument or sound, just something I will have to get used to as I barely play electric/steel string! In summary, if you are thinking about buying it, it is by far the best 1/2 sized guitar for this price, the full size version is probably a whole new ball game, but I can't have any verdict on that as I don't own it or have played it. If you are looking to tune it to ADGcea like a guitalele it will need different strings, the ones on it will probably snap, or at least be far too tight for good intonation. And finally a great bonus is the case that comes with it, I guess it's just the same as any other well padded case, but it looks great with two front pockets.I hope this review was helpful, and if you buy it, enjoy it!

I've never written a review on amazon before, I wanted to write one as there isn't any reviews of this guitar and that might sway someone into buying something else. This little guitar is beautiful, it tuned easily and sounds lovely. I've purchased it for my 7 year old daughter who is too small for her brothers 3/4. He will be very jealous as this sounds much better even to my untrained ear. For the money it is a very good but and you won't get better IMO.It's very well made out if solid wood not veneer. It looks like a guitar not a toy which I think is important too.Brilliant well padded case which retails at £30 on its own. Highly recommended.

A fantastic little guitar at the price. Also the bag it came in is top notch. Bought it as a practice guitar as it is much easier to carry around and take out any time you feel the urge to practice! A lot cheaper than buying a travel guitar but a lot more convenient to use as it is the normal guitar shape. All in all a fantastic little buy.

Very nice smaller scale guitar. Slightly high string height, but that is ok because it means that you can play it fast or loud and it will not buzz. Over all a lot nicer than it's cheaper alternatives.

Nice tone, looks good, narrow neck designed to get someone who hasn't played for years back into her groove!
