I recently bought a pair of Nikon Sporter 8x42 binoculars (another excellent product by the way). They come only with single caps for the tops of the lenses. Though they're rainproof I don't want rain drops on the viewing lenses so I looked for a rainguard. The opticron one fits the bill exactly. What's more, the join between the two sides bends so that you don't have that annoying business of always having to adjust the width of your bins whenever you take the rainguard on or off. It's a sturdy plastic which will take knocks -- I sometimes carry a camera as well as bins and though I have the former on a shortened strap and the latter on a longer harness,

fantastic quality rainguard thats vastly superior to the one supplied with my new Opticron discovery 8x50 binoculars . Even though the stock item does the job its kinda difficult to remove with it being tight fitting rubber , but this deluxe one fits like a dream and is very speedy to remove when you chance upon that elusive sighting . I'd advise anyone buying this model of binoculars to also order this rainguard (45.5mm) at the same time as it makes such a massive difference to the handling . The other thing worth noting is this size also fits the Opticron discovery 8x42's as well , looks like ill be ordering a second one for them now then lol .

These are very handy raingards for compact binoculars. I only wonder why they are made bulkier than they need to be for the purpose. I cut off the protrusions on the bridge. They are a nuisance when folding the binoculars.Similarly, the major part of the rim along the left side can be cut off with a sharp knife. One only needs the part that corresponds to the strap attachment on the binoculars.As not all binoculars have their strap attachment in the same position, the rainguard needs to be made with this adjustable version. That is a very clever way, though it first looks a bit odd.

perfectly fit my opticron compacts, the multiple strap slots mean they should fit many other compacts. So pleased, I was going to order another for nikon travelite V, but on checking its a wee bit tight on the rubber eye cups- they fit but a slight compression on the rubber, shouldn't be a problem but as there are other opticron eye cups in a variety of diameters I shall get one that's snug rather than tight.

High quality but just too large for for the smallest full size binoculars i.e. my wifes' 8x42 HR's. I would have ordered the compact ones but they may have been a fraction too small. I sorted by packing them out with some sticky back foam padding.

Bought for a pair of Olympus binoculars. Work very well. I was worried that the position of the loop for the neck strap was in the wrong position, and the neck strap would pull of the guard when around the neck, but this isn't the case.

Fitted my binoculars.I had been trying to work out how to remove the sliver "Opticron" branding label but the one supplied was in an Opticron box but had no branding on the product (which was what I preferred)

The caps are too close together to fit objectives on Canon 8x25 IS binoculars. Rather than cut them apart I use this for the eye pieces and put the eye caps onto the objectives, which were tight fit.

I also bought Nikon sporter 8 X 42 Binoculars and was disappointed with eye eye caps, no provision for rain protection.These purchased from Amazon fit perfectly and are a complete solution.

Also bought for my new Olympus binoculars - where the originals didn't stay in place very securely. These do - and are attached to (one) side of the neck-strap, so cannot be lost.

Super product. A little large for my binoculars but with some careful padding they’re perfect. A pity it didn’t come with a securing strap so that it doesn’t fall off when removed

The items arrived promptly and fitted exactly. The only problem was fitting the Binoculars back in the case afterwards they were a very tight fit.

replacement for lost cover, they were easy to attach and fit tightly (make sure your measure your binoculars to the millimetre ) ideal

I had bought a pair of Nikon sporter ex 10x42 binoculars which had no eye covers but these are a perfect fit and are very easy to use.

It is hard to get a rainguard, which drops off easily in use (attached to cord). This fits my Swarovski 8.5 x 42 EL binoculars.
