I know many areas of the UK are in need of long periods of rain to avoid hosepipe bans this summer but rain or even rain clouds are not ideal for star watching, the intended use for this item.Once the adapter is screwed into the binoculars and then onto the tripod the set is very sturdy. I am using only 50mm binoculars but with a zoom lens so they are quite heavy. There is not flex in the bracket at all.Good value and well made product !

My daughter's just given me one of these for Father's Day. What a difference it makes compared to the polypropylene one that came with the binoculars. They're a pair of Celestron 15x70, and I would urge Celestron to supply a metal tripod adaptor as standard in future. I now have a sturdy support, and the only vibration, which is now much less, comes from my Manfrotto tripod which dampens after about a second.

This very handy item is just the job for mounting my Karl Zeiss 10 x 50 Binoculars to my camera tripod. My binoculars do not have the screw fitting on the front of the central spindle. This is where the serial number has been stamped. Therefore the standard adapters are not suitable, So this mount is the perfect solution as I can now clamp using the central spidle

I had a similar one with a pair of large (15x80) binoculars I bought but although it was made of steel it was slightly springy and the binoculars wobbled when you touched them. This mount is much sturdier and provides a solid support for heavy binoculars. It's much better than the cheap plastic ones you can buy or are sometimes supplied with big binocs.

I like the L tripod - its sturdy - but I did not need it.Amazon fooled me into buying this item - when in fact when I received the binoculars I had purchased from Amazon there was a L mount tripod already included. So the purchase of this tripod was unnecessary.Be careful of the " what others also purchased " line in the website when you purchase.

I have an apartment overlooking the sea, the English Channel, but the sea. I have always wanted to be able to mount a pair of binoculars onto a tripod and be able to view the myriad of shipping that transverses our waters up and down. Excellent piece of kit that has given me what I want. Swift delivery and a big thank you.

fits my celestron up close 10 x 50 perfect, its a very nice robust piece of kit and i doubt i would ever have to get another one. only complaint is i bought it for £10 and the day they delivered it it was reduced to £6 and some change.... not happy about that, however i can not fault this bit of kit.

Simple, sturdy, easy to setup, and most of all: it holds my Celestron 71008 25x70 binoculars exactly balanced under the center of gravity, which is the most important thing. Be careful if you own a cheap/small tripod: some binoculars are heavy and this little guy does heavy duty.

This adaptor does the job it's supposed to. It's a fairly chunky, robust piece of metal that feels substantial, and it keeps the binoculars rock solid. I tried them with a pair of 10-30x60 zoom binoculars and they are finally usable at anything beyond minimum zoom.

Have been looking for a solid one for an age ,this appears to be just that , means we dont have to change the bins for a more modern set with a std fitting on the end cap , only time will tell if it stands up .,but on the initial trying it looks good.

This fits my Olympus 12 x 50 EXPS binoculars. Only small problem is tightening the knob attaching it to the binoculars so that it is tight enough - I think the plastic bush used should be slightly softer material or even rubber. Otherwise vey goo.

This was purchased for my Ostara Elinor binoculars 10x50 along with a universal folding tripod also from Amazon at £24.94. I was worried that I may have got the size wrong however, everything fit together perfectly. Very pleased

A quality product that basically does what it says on the tin. Holds the binoculars steady and firmly without any noticeable movement for extended periods. A very good mount at a very good price.

I bought this mount as a replacement for a plastic version that was supplied with my binoculars but was too flimsy for such high powered bins. This bracket works perfectly. Very good value.

Excellent mount for the older binocular without a front 'socket' - fits my USSR Tento 20×60 perfectly. Very well made to boot. Superb fast delivery and recommended!
