I bought this as an upgrade over using the mcon-p01 macro converter on the standard kit lens, a combination which actually worked well enough for me but having some spare cash I assumed this would be a noticeable improvement. And it is! The build quality is great, plastic is used and although metal would've been nice the plastic saves a bit of weight while still feeling solid and not cheaply made. The focus ring is nice and smooth and the switchable distance ranges work well. It's handy being able to flick the switch to bring the focus point right to it's closest position without turning the ring several times. On to picture quality. This thing is SHARP!

I have been a semi pro photographer for more years than I care to remember and during that time have mainly used top notch DSLR's. This lens is perhaps the sharpest and easiest to use that I have owned and coupled with my equally excellent camera, makes an awsome duo.The 60mm f2.8 is in all respects, apart from being heavy and awkward, a professional super sharp lens that not only delivers pin sharp 1:1 macro images, but superb portrait and out-and-about pictures. Highly recommended and a MUST for every micro four thirds user.

IT's sharp, it's got almost no chromatic aberration at all and its Macro function is impressive. The dial helps you get quickly from standard to Macro (since manually turning the focus ring will take some time to get there).As a normal lens, it's not the fastest out there (f/2.8) but provides an excellent performance for the MFT format and I highly recommend it.

Capable of wonderful images both macro and as portrait lens. Available for around £300 second hand on eBay. Partnered with my used OMD E-M5 I've replaced my old cumbersome Nikon kit with a lightweight system which performs better in every way.

Maybe best macro lens in any system! Super sharp and small. Works well with extension tubes. My previous macro lens was a Tokina on Canon mount. That was good but this is better. I have nothing bad to say about this lens.

It is a marvelous little lens, and it was a very good price, and it shipped very fast. The chipped part unfortunately compromises the weather sealing.

An excellent lens, very sharp when used for macro or portrait. Not the fastest focusing but excellent when locked on or in manual mode.

Excellent quality lens for macro work and as a general use short fast telephoto lens with a 35mm equivalent of 120mm

An incredible compact macro for bug-life and close up work. An awesome portrait lens taboot.

Only issue it hunts a little to chase focus. Appart from that is tad sharp and great value.
