We bought this as a gift, following our son receiving it as a gift. He's only a little over two, so we don't play the pick up a card and match it or put it face down and remember where it is game. At the moment we just pick up the cards and match them. He's learning what matching means and all about animals, items and people associated with a farm. It's fun and educational. It encourages him to sit down and concentrate for a short time, but in a fun way. We'll enjoy playing the proper memory game when he's older too. We have a few of the Orchard game range that we'd recommend.

Our 2 year old doesn't quite get the full concept, however he enjoys playing "match" and every child is different. We have seen after visits from older cousins that this is an ideal came for broad ages to play together (the 6 year old plays full out bingo, the 4 year old enjoys matching the pictures & the 2 year old enjoys picking up the cards and making the appropriate sounds & words. They can actually play all together with this little system going on!)

Wasn't sure at first how good this would be, when kids are so used to gadgets/electronic devices these days but it definitely grabbed the attention of a 2 and 4 year old. We played it for ages. Family members commented they'd never seen them sitting so long.Simple enough for young kids to understand, enjoy and even get a bit competitive). Enjoyable enough that older kids (or adults) can happily join in.Can go as fast/slow as you want.

a very similar game to others by Orchard toys, as always very good quality card that withstands very young players' rough play. It is basically a cross between bingo and memory game, you have to fill your card with the farm pictures. I use it with young learners of English and they enjoy the bright pictures and learn farm vocab and turn-taking. It seems quite dull to an adult but I would recommend this game for 2 - 5 year olds

We have a number of Orchard toys games and all are enjoyed by my daughter (2 3/4). This is probably not her favourite - that's crazy chefs - but it's still played with almost daily and is a good game for talking about animals as well as teaching the usual game skills....memory, taking turns, waiting, losing etc.Very sturdy card tiles and big boards too. Good value for money,.

our grandson loves farm animals and really loves this game. He hasn't quite understood that if he picks up a card that is on someone else's board he should not put it on their board, but place it back in the pool. Never mind he loves it and the other children are very patient with him.

Can vary the game according to age etc - start with just matching the pictures, or learning what each picture card is - my daughter is 20 months and not yet playing it properly, but wont be long I dont think. She loves anything to do with animals at the moment, so keeps her interested.

We got this for our daughter's second birthday at the suggestion of the nursery as something fun but educational too. There are lots of different ways to play according to ability. Our daughter's favourite is to hand us all the pieces and make us make the right animal noises! :)

Lovely game, bought it for my 2year old. Speech therapists recommended lotto games to help with language and this one is great as it encourages us to make lots of different animal noises. We play a simplified version but at least I know the game will grow with us.

A super game. We received this game as a gift when my daughter was 2. We have really enjoyed playing as a family. Helps small children with recognition, matching, naming objects and turn taking. I have since bought this game for other friends children.

Brilliant game bought for two year old can be adapted to be more complicated as they get older. Fun and educational way to enjoy some quality time with your little ones. Friend is a teaching assistant and really rates Orchard Toys games.

I am a childminder and the children love animals . They really enjoy playing this game it is really good quality and has shaped boards and different farmers to find , would definitely recommend this game. Suitable for 2 years upwards.

Great for 2-3 year olds. Very simple tool to teach kids patience and fairness as they have to wait their turn and not kick off if they lose. Sturdy construction and clear images.Most important is that it's great fun for them too.

I think that It is very good and well educating game for small children . My wee girl just love it. I will be definitely buying some others in the nearest future. It is one of the purchases that I have made and not regret.

Great for the younger kids to get their teeth into. (sometimes quite literally!) As with all Orchard toys, it is well made and great to play with. Maybe keep them off the electronic stuff a while longer?
