Good protection from moisture etc when flashgun not in place. The one stars or complaints are about Nikon cameras with a pop up flash it's not for those models it's pro series cameras D3 etc which don't have pop up flash.

This product does what Nikon say it does, it protects the hot shoe on the D3, D3s, D3X, D4 and D4s. Owners of other Nikon DSLRs should use either the BS1 or BS3 (D5 only). At this price however it is expensive.

Wish I didn't have to buy it but the original is in the middle of the Austrian Alps somewhere. Still worth replacing if your big Nikon get's exposed to the wet - this helps prevent ingress of damp.

And it fits respectably well (though not quite perfectly) on a Nikon D500 (which isn't supplied with any shoe cover let alone the pro-grade cover that gives some added rain protection)

Good for extra weather sealing and keeping contacts clean. Tight fit, not easily dislodged, and blends into the camera in use.

good item but only if you don't want to use your flash as it won't pop up when the shoe cover is on but fits perfectly .

The hot shoe cover is good. The price of postage almost doubled the cost of the item,which is outrageous.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Keeps the dirt and rain off my D3 flash shoe.
