This is solidly built, relatively light and comfortable to transport. The push-in locking clips on either side of the carry handle rotate to three positions, and require both hands to operate. Both the cushioned fabric of the chair, and the snug little “baby-hugg” inlay are washable. There is a thin fabric sunshade that pulls out from the rear of the head support, which - although pretty basic - affords a degree of protection.What most impresses me though, is the build quality. The front and rear metal rods lock securely onto metal clips on the base unit in the car – we have the FamilyFix One i-Size (which I have also reviewed). However, if you don’t have the base unit,

We really like this chair and combined with the proper base...https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B077YDWRS6....it feels like a solid choice for a new baby. We like it because....- the removable padding for a new born looks supportive and comfortable- the harness and pads are easy to adjust and feel confident in- the buttons to swing up/down the handle are well placed and operate with no awkward fuss- the stretchy material that hooks over the handle for the sun shield is simple but so easy and effective- without the base it "belts in" in the familiar way- feels solid and well madeCombined with the proper base system (link above)

This is a very smart baby car seat / infant carrier which can be installed using the isofix base, or just using the seat belt. It doesn't need "locking into place" when sat in the base as it's all electronic. It's a bit of a faff to remove it from the base although as our 8 month old is getting heavier it's less often that I'd need to take her out of the car in her carrier. The carrying handle is best left in the upright carrying position in the car as it in effect acts like a roll cage in the event of an accident . The seat comes with a newborn head hugger, chest pads, and washable removable covers.

Very well built and robust feeling car seat. Easy to set up in the car. In order to actually use it securely in a car, you do need to purchase the separate adapter seat base (FamilyFix One i-Size), meaning the whole thing is rather expensive but the quality is worth it but it can also be attached into a car and secured into place with a seat belt but this doesn't feel as secure as with the base.The fabric areas in the seat are all removable and machine washable which is fantastic for baby mishaps! Instructions and set up are all fairly easy to follow. You probably will need an additional person to help you move the handle (i did).Overall a very well built piece that leaves you feeling that

The newborn insert creates a cosy secure seat for the baby whilst he is still small and a little wobbly. It is super easy and quick to install in a car using the isofix base or a seat belt.My favourite feature is that it fits perfectly onto my pushchair base using the relevant pushchair attachments. As my pushchair is designed to be nippy and great for travelling, it is extremely light and lacks any suspension. This car seat reassures me that my baby is safe and comfortable when I’m pushing him over bumps in the road, awkward door frames and difficult curbs.All of the upholstery can be machine washed and the straps are extremely easy to alter on the go.Couldn’t ask for more.

BRAND======We've tried a few and this is one of the better brands.INSTALLATION============It's very easy to install and once it's in place it's very snug, no wobbling or anything.TIGHT======Sometimes it can be a bit of an incovenience to click the seatbelt buckles and then tighten the straps, they never seem to be placed easily. With this one it's very easy to do.MATERIAL=========Nice quality feel to it.ROBUST=======YesCOMFY=======It looks really comfy too.NOT====It's not too bulky either.ALL ROUND==========We're very happy with it so far. If it develops any issues then I'll update the review.

I am so happy because I bought this maxi cosi car seat .. it so comfy for my baby .. I am using it all the day while working in the kitchen or in my house I just fix it on the baby stroller and walk with him around .. whenever I put him on this seat he laughs .. I am using it without the base in the car and no problem .. easy to fix and easy to remove .. I don’t thing I will need the base

It was quite restrictive with the maxi cosi base. My car has isofix but my wife’s doesn’t, so we bought a base for safety. Unless you get the £200 base, you’re quite limited with this seat. I ended up getting the Cabriofix seat which is compatible and I’ll be honest, I don’t see much difference. I returned this, nothing wrong as such, just wasn’t compatible with the car seat base.

This is being used by our first grandson, Thomas, whose new mum and dad are thrilled with it. He sas born at 34+1 weeks and this has proven to be ideal for him, weighing initially 5lb 3oz. They are using it with the Maxi-Cosi FamilyFix One Base (iSize), which makes the Rock an excellent, easy-to-fit car seat. The style, padding, comfort and everything else is top notch.

This is a lovely well built carseat we bought the isofix Base with it so it is so simple to install in the car, it looks so comfy and can nor wait til our little boy is here to start using it great value for money aswell as the retail in the shops for about 50-60 more than what we paid for it highly recommend.

Baby isn’t here yet so I can’t comment on comfort as such but it seems amazing. So padded and amazing quality that you’d expect from maxicosi. We were originally planning to opt for the pebble plus but I am so glad we got the rock. Exactly what we needed and a fab affordable price! The colour is stunning!

Very light weight but sturdy which important when lugging round a baby inside, the seat has lots of cushioning and is in nice neutral colours, fits with iso bases and also attaches to my egg quail pushchair making it easy to go out with a sleeping baby.

Very good fit. The only issue would be the canopy is too short for sun protection. Other than that it ticks all the boxes. Its easy to carry with a baby inside. Light enough to carry compared to others on the market
