I can't really comment about the quality of the game itself as so far i haven't succeeded in playing it. Twice it crashed just after selecting my character and third time I got two minutes into play before crashing. When I went looking online for a patch I found lots of (unanswered) postings on the web asking "Why can't I run the game in Windows 7?" Did install the 1.02 patch but doesn't seem to help. Tried using various settings on compatability mode but nothing would even start the game. The game was written for Windows XP and I guess it just never made the transition to 7. If you are still running XP then game might be worth a try juding by the other reviews but if you are on Windows 7 or

I have read many bad reviews for this game and was put of buying it. However I am very fond of fantasy roleplay/adventure games and like many others that received bad reviews I planed to try this one when it became cheap enough. I'm certainly glad i did with Mageknight for I have found it to be a very enjoyable game. Excellant graphics and sound, good story and easy to play. Okay mabe the combat is a bit simplistic,much clicking of mouse buttons the order of the day, but I can live with that, If you can too you'll enjoy this game.Small tip, if you have a blaster X-FI fatality card, make sure you have the latest drivers, wont run otherwise.
