Another one of the Die-Cast Chugginton trains that I have purchased. A great little die cast train, but again like with the others they do start to chip and once they do - you will notice it, although my son doesn't seem to mind too much he just enjoys 'coupling them up' and having the longest line of chuggington trains he can make. The colours are great, the item is weighty as it's die-cast, the connectors are hard navy plastic - so not sure if they will stand the test of time, easy enough for my son to couple up on his own, so far all trains still in one piece. We're not far off the whole set!A great little toy for toddlers and small enough to fit in your bag for travelling - or going out for a meal, they fit well on a table without taking up too much room and help to keep your little one amused. Not sure if they should be priced at £5, i'm sure they could bring the price down a little to make them affordable to everyone as it seems you can't just have one! ;o)

Our 2.5 year old daughter was very excited to see this in the shop. Her grandparents had the wooden brio type track which she really enjoyed when she visited so we wanted to pick up something different, so as not to spoil the fun at theirs, but also something new at home that would generate so much imaginative play as their train set. These Chugginton trains don't fit on the wooden brio / tesco track unfortunately. But they are exactly the same width dimensions as the Take Along Thomas Range. Given some other poor reviews of the Chuggington track in terms of durability, design and connecting the pieces, we've purchased some Take Along Thomas plastic grey track which they fit on perfectly. And we picked up one of these which they go to sleep in (our daughter's favourite activity with any toy at the moment):

We have several of these Chuggington toys now, so I just picked Koko at random to review. This should apply to any in the range though. The good* Well made and solid* Bright and friendly, faithfully captures the character from the show* Works with take-along Thomas tracks (for some people this will be a big deal)The bad* Ummmm* A little expensive. Not as a one-off, but if you want a few of them it adds up very quickly.Oh and the ugly* No "Action Chugger" until June? My kid is obsessed with Action Chugger and whenever we play with these he asks for it and doesn't understand why we don't have it. I guess he just has to learn patience like the rest of us!

My four year old loves Chuggington and received quite a few Diecast Chuggers from Santa this past Christmas. She gets a lot of play out of them; loves impersonating the various voices, inventing her own Chuggington episodes, and incorporating them with her playmobil & lego playsets. They are durable little trains. I like that the cars can 'click' together, and that a few have add-on train cars.Good fun all in all (even if I do think the RRP is a lot for what they are) but thankfully it pays to shop around :)

I think these Chuggington trains are a lovely and colourful toy for children to play with. I bought my nephew a couple of the trains and a carry case to start collecting them in. He loves them and wants more for his forthcoming birthday. They feel well made and solid and are the right size for little hands to hold. The only reason that I didn't give full stars is that I do feel they are slightly too expensive.

Much loved toys for our little boys who are big Chuggington fans. The only shame is that they are not sized to fit most standard wooden railways so cant drive on the tracks unless you buy the special Chuggington ones. As we already have a huge collection of Brio and Ikea tracks this is unlikely.

My little one is obsessed with this little character from the series, he was screaming with joy when he bought this for him. Like all the other trains in the set, it's well made, just the right size for his little hands.

My son has four of these, they are bright, well made diecast trains, just the right size for little hands. My son carries them around with him all day, a must for any little Chuggington fans.

My son loves this and was very pleased when he got it for his birthday. I personally think that are over priced but seeing my sons enjoyment makes up for it.

Very nice and high quality train, looks exactly the same as seen on the show, can run on any usual wooden or plastic tracks. My son absolutely loves it.
