Correction: I have spoken with the company and sent pictures. The company were super helpful and it had turned out I had purchased the correct size for my wheels but not for vehicle (VW Multivan) these were suitable only for a car. The company was super helpful and helped me solve the problem very quickly and to my 150% satisfaction. Even though they were the wrong ones they got me up and down a very steep hill although others could not. Thank You KonigUsed for the first time this week and easyish to put on after practice. Added loads of traction up a very icy hill where the Czech Taxis failed to get up the hill. HOWEVER after only the second use the one chain has snapped in one place.

I read somebodies review that helpfully sugested practising using these. I did just that and found the illustrations were helpful but took a little working out. On top of that the middle plastic bracket that the tensioning length of cable passes through had been put on the wrong span of cable on both of the chains in the pair. This had the resulting effect that the cable was not creating any tension. When I carefully inspected the diagrams for discrepancies this became apparent ahd I clipped the red plastic bracket on the correct span. Tension problem was then solved but if I had not carefully inspected the fitting and discovered the error I consider the chains may not have been too effective for long and could well have damaged the wheel arch.

Went to Laax in Feb 2013, parked the VW Touran in the garage for the whole week.The morning we were leaving, it had heavy snow so there was no getting off the mountain without these.Instructions were very clear, and only took 3 minutes per wheel to fit.Drove for about 1km then pulled over and re-tightened, not much needed.I would suggest to fit these in the dry and follow the video on their site prior to going up the mountain.One thing, do not use the Red plastic attachment as a pulley like i did and made it snap, but if it does, the chains are design in such a way, that you can still tighten the chains without it.50km/hr to get off the mountain safely,

I bought these when the weather forecast suggested a lot of wet and freezing weather was coming. - I chose this set because they appear to be "approved" by more nationalities of Police than any other brand. However the snow conditions have failed to materialize (apart from on hilltops) so I have not had chance to try them in anger yet.Be careful that you are ordering the correct size, these took a few days to arrive, but arrived faster than was expected with full instructions inside. I am very happy that when snow does arrive I should get traction with these.Be Aware there are a lot of videos and information about using "Snow Chains" and "Winter Tyres" on the internet.

2nd March 2018. Snow conditions as bad as it gets in the UK and my front wheel drive Seat Leon ST got me to work and back today with these Konig Thule snow chains on. I was the only car to get up the hill out of our village (and back down again at the end of the day). I wish I had practiced putting them on before the cold weather because it was a bit of a fiddle and my hands went numb. Easy when you know how and a YouTube video was more helpful than reading the paper instructions. I highly recommend these if you want to be completely prepared for adverse winter weather.

Bought this for trip to Scotland as an emergency measure. Acually used it when a snowstorm caught us in the middle of mountain road near Glenshee. It basically works, there is nothing to say, its physics. As to the quality of built, it is good. Survived 40min trip with about 20-30 mph, and a bit on the clean road at 40mph without visible deformation. It took me 20 mins to install, mainly because first time. I would do in 5 now. When dismount, follow instructions as it is quite tricky otherwise and mine have been caught behind the wheel because I did not do.

I needed these to take my car to a ski resort. For the price they were excellent, I have never put chains on before and we had it on the first time in the dark on a mountain road in under 20 minutes I forgot to practise before leaving UK. Instructions were fairly good and second and third time we put them on it was much quicker once I knew the procedure. Would be happy to recommend if you are going to need occasionally these are very good and wont break the bank, now safely stowed away for the next use. BTW the box for storing is good and relatively small.

Used these chains today for first time on my Mazda MX5. Very easy to fit but look how to fit them on You Tube first as the included instructions aren't that clear. It took me less than 5 mins a side to fit. Make sure you do a trial run fitting them in the dry though.The car had excellent grip in over 1 foot of snow which had fallen with the 'Beast From the East' storm. Got me to work on a 20 mile drive and then back home again.Well worth the cost even though you may not use them that often an essential winter accessory that every car should have.

Thank goodness I bought them. Really helped this Christmas holiday in the Alps. Of course I should have tried fitting them at home but not too difficult. You only need to drive a few metres to tighten then ie less that the instructions. Would be easier if the bits that need to be joined together were colour coded. Put them on before you really have to so that you have enough off road space as you'll be kneeling by both wheels for about 10 mins each side the first time.

These are great chains. They are easy to fit and tighten thanks to a ratchet system. I gave these 4 Stars due to them being very uncomfortable to drive on even with snow and at about 3-5mpm, any more and its like being in a TANK. I have had lots of Chains over the years and these are the best as they fold up small and can be packed under the spare wheel

Rehearsed trying to fit as per instructions, took a bit of fiddling and working out but more me than the chains. Once I managed to fit the first one (20min) I did the second one in less than 5 minutes. The moving the vehicle and re-tightening the chains was very easy so completely satisfied.

Excellent. Reasonably easy to put on (bearing in mind that they are snow chains and notoriously difficult!) and product support videos are very good and extremely helpful. Storage case is good and well thought out too, including a little velcro tab to stop it sliding around an empty boot.

Thankfully I have not had to use them yet, purchased as a back up for a Xmas trip to Scotland. However, I have carried out a trial fitting and found them easy to install. I also like the strong carrying box which provides excellent protection and makes for easy storage, car or garage

trial run in the dry proves easy to fit ,nicely cased easy to slide under the seat or elsewhere,room in case to put your own gloves etc.

used these snow chains in France during the 2017-18 ski season. easy to fit both on & off. very pleased
