I bought this for my wife and it is beautifully made. I ordered it at the same time I ordered the camera and the case came quicker from Germany than the camera did from the UK. I can't fault the case, it's expensive but well worth the money. The only thing I would advise is that you make sure your order the correct version. I ordered the Nikon J1 Camera Kit which came with two lenses, the standard 10-30mm and the 30 -105mm, then went on and ordered the J1 Kit case. When the case arrived it didn't fit! What I had ordered was the standard case which just takes the 10mm lens and not the others that came with the camera kit. The German company were very good in exchanging the case,

The CB-N2000SF is a really nice two-piece case, made from finely stitched real leather. The front piece is detachable from its attachment points on the base of the camera section and when closed covers the lens, front and back of the camera. The camera section slips on to the base, sides and part of the front of the camera, leaving the back of the camera, i.e., the screen and all the controls, fully exposed and usable.My only problem with this is that the Nikon J1 generally comes with a 10-30mm lens in the UK, and with this lens attached to the camera, the cover will not quite close - it will only close if the 10mm lens is attached.

I have the Nikon 1 J1. i have a variety of lenses, but leave the 10 lens on so it fits in my handbag easily. The case fits perfectly and is very sturdy. I am always worried about knocking my camera into things or putting it down, when I'm out walking. No need to worry any more. It provides great protection.The only downside to using the case is that you have to unscrew and remove it to access the battery/memory card compartment. But I guess it saves losing the battery accidentally.Going to get the 10-30 case now. I just wish they sold the lens cover on it's own so I didn't have to buy the full set again.

Delivery was quick.Good quality case.A very tight fit on my Nikon 1 J2 camera, but I took the lens cover off and it fits fine.Will be able to pop in my handbag now, meaning I will use it far more often.

This case gives the camera some protection and is easily undone to take pictures with. The case is well made and allows the smaller lens to be fitted inside the case and remain secure.

I have been wanting to buy a case for my j1 since I first purchased it but they were all out of my price range. This case is good quality, afordable. I highly recommend it ??

The Nikon case is very smart looking and very good quality. It provides great protection for the camera which is the main thing.

It seems like a bit of a tight fit for the 10-35 - fine withe the smaller lenses - I like it hough - very stylish protction
