Is anyone else out there confused by these different kodak easyshare printer cartridges? I never know which one to buy.The box saying, Kodak PH40 Media Cartridge for Kodak Easyshare Printer Docks, doesn`t appear to have a picture on the front of the cartridge included.I have bought a packet containing the correct paper, 180 sheets of it, but it did not have the correct cartridge that I needed. There is another Kodak PH40 Media package with a picture on of the cartridge that I do need but then it doesn`t tell you what size paper is inside? Can anyone help me please!? I have a kodak 310 easyshare printer and it takes the long black cartridge with the ribban in the middle.Which product do I need to buy?!Thankyou,Miss Dean

I think this is excellent as convenience is the name of the game nowadays. It really is easy to print your pics off, as long as you are ok with the standard 6 x 4" size. The paper / ink is easy to buy, lots of stockists, including Comet or put Kodak PH-40 into search engine and you can buy on-line.Cost wise , you won't really save anything especially as Boots do 50 prints for £5 - which I would probably still use say after holiday or event where I require lots of prints, or if I want enlargements.A memory card is a must as the internal memory only hold 12 pictures (at best quality). But, this is flexible and great for instant great quality (as good as Boots)prints. All in all - Brilliant idea !

You have just shot a roll of 40 APS/35mm photos on holiday. You take it to Boots/Spielman/Jessops, pay your £5 and take your prints home. Out of the 40 prints, probably 10 are technically flawed (poor light, blur, insufficient flash, redeye etc.) and of the other 30 you probably have a few duplicates and other photos which you wonder why you took them in the first place. So.. how many of the original 40 would you choose to put in your album? 10... 15... divide your £5 by this number and you get between 33 and 50 pence per print, with at least 24 hours wait (1 Hr service would be more expensive still).Buy the print dock and you should never have to see a poor quality print again.

I've owned this product for about 18 months now and never being an organised photo person this is perfect for me.I particularly find it useful when visiting my 94 year old grandmother as I can take pictures of her and my children and print them off before I leave. She thinks this is brilliant. I also live halfway up a mountain so don't have to bother with finding somewhere to print photos to pop into birthday cards etc.I also usually load them onto the PC and send them in e-mails.I agree with everyone else that the cartridges are too expensive. However, Amazon does it again - less than half the price of getting it on the High Street for a printer refill. Bargain!!

I have had this printer dock for a while now and im very pleased with it. Although the prints would be expensive for large quantities like holiday, xmas etc., it is a brilliant item for just a few special prints, or making smaller pics for identity cards etc. Can print more than one picture on each sheet in a selection of sizes. AND ive just got a new phone and can link that to the printer dock and print pictures from that, so if im out without my camera I still have the facility to take pictures and print them myself. The camera is also exceptionally easy to link to the computer so making both camera and printer dock very versatile.

Once I made my decision to get a nice shiny DX6490 camera I thought it best to get the Printer Dock to go with it.Must say that the prints are excellent quality. As good as any chemist will do but beware the costs. £14.61 for 40 - if you buy the PH40 pack - is not value for money, 37p per photo - not good if you are looking to print every photo from your holidays. But if you are selective or only want one or two photos reprinted then this is what you want.Once the price of the media pack drops then it will be worth 5 stars.

I possess a camera dock and I am considering purchasing a printer dock together with the neccessay printing packs. The printer dock and accessories look very inviting. However I wonder if anyone has compared costs per photo with the cost of printing at local chemists? I would very much like to know before I make purchases. So far I am very happy with my camera dock and DX6490 easyshare camera, it really is first rate. I rate my existing equipment 5 stars

This was an entirely satisfactory product. However, I would like to make two points:-Firstly, I used to be able to buy this in a kit with 4 colour cartridges and 160 sheets of photo paper, and secondly, due to the fact that over time I seem to have used more colour cartridges in excess of the number of sheets that came with them, I now have about 100 surplus sheets - why am I unable to buy a few cartridges on their own without paper?

I needed a Kodak refill colour cartridge quickly. I was able to obtain just the right one with the minimum of trouble. It was delivered virtually next day after the order was processed. I was rather worried that the information that I had given the site was not detailed enough but whoever interpreted my request for the cartridge was spot on. Thanks a lot. I will use them again when next I require a refill. Brian McKinley.

This is an exceedingly neat gadget and the quality of the prints is superb. It uses dye-transfer film and it's quite eery to watch the paper shuttling back and forward adding the yellow, magenta and cyan images. The packs of paper and film aren't cheap at over 40p per print, but you only need to print the pictures you want. Highly recommended.

Got the printer for a present off my family. There's no wait for the photo's, you can do everything off the camera and printer dock ( no need to hook upto a pc). If you have any existing phot's on the pc, this can also print out them. The cost of the media doesn't bother me as a print cartridge is included with the paper!!! bargain!!

the kodak printer pack containes photo paper & ink,its hard to find anywhere else other than from kodak, which works out more expensive because they add postage costs, its great to know amazon can supply these products so cost effectively.
